This one picks up from where the last one ended, mainly focusing on unraveling the actual crux of the plot, bit by bit.

Unlike its predecessor, 'Shattered Kingdom' was a rollercoaster with constant plot twists, managing to fool me thrice into believing that the evildoer was caught until we can FINALLY take a sigh of relief with Hunter.

Laney, thankfully, was a FL I adored! She never backed down and faced trouble head-on. She undergoes a significant character development wherein she realises that hiding from people just gave her a false sense of relief and did nothing to help her, so stand up she did. Laney took the matter in her own hands, almost single handedly turning the entire case. God knows where all those PI's of Connery family disappeared off to.

And, Hunter...all I have to say is that his sense of humour finally came through towards the end. Have hope, there's always light at the end of the tunnel lol.

• The duet is NA

• It's eerily similar to Rina Kent's Elite Kingdom series, hence the reason I had no trouble finishing it *chef's kiss
If you're an absolute sucker for Aiden King and Levi like me, then this will have no trouble fitting into your bookshelf.

• Call me greedy but I wanted a sweeter epilogue.

What a conclusion To Laneys and Hunters story. I really do enjoy a dark and twisted bully romance. This story was full of suspense, sizzling chemistry and it left me on the edge of my seat!!
This was more than just a who done it scenario, this was about secret societies, bringing down powerful men and at the centre of all the chaos was a love story! I loved Laney and Hunter and I'm so glad they got their HEA. I can't believe who was responsible for it all....I did not see that coming at all....brilliant!! Highly recommend this author and story.

The Book 1 ended with a piece of Laney's humiliating secret being exposed and she suspected the innocent who though caused her alot of trouble by hurting her and bullying her in past. I had two suspects who could have done that. But I was wrong when the actually suspect of the incident was revealed with a disgusting truth. Also, I was wrong with my previous review in this series. Especially the Prequel, yeah I said it had the vibes of Dark Dynasty and worried whether the other story would also be same. But no, the book 1 and book 2 were completely differently in all aspects.
Whether it is Stella Hart or with her SIL as Kristine Brown, I like how the author(s) through insights on how a girl can be exploited. At last, the give the moral that"a girl should only trust herself than anyone else".

I was eagerly when I will get the advanced review copy in my hands, when it did, I snatched and read it immediately without any late. I just loved the series

More like a mystery than a romance

I didn't enjoy the direction this book took. There were too many things happening at once. There was a murder to solve and a sex trafficking ring to bring down. These things took away the spotlight away from.the romance.
Also, long and tedious conversations at every turn. So, my biggest question is what was the point of the Princes, if they hardly ever got mentioned. I mean these guys added nothing to the story and I was actually excited when they were all mentioned in book 1. However, nothing happened with any of them. I wouldn't even call them Hunter's friends as they were never around.

I do have to say I finished the book because I wanted to find out who murdered Lindsay, although that didn't come as a total shocker it did add another spin to the story. Finally, though Hunter and Laney got their HEA.

Well im officially knocked out by the last book in this duet. Just when i thought book 1 couldnt be topped the next one comes along and completely nails it for me. I had my mind set on one of the bad guys right from the beginning of this book only to be completely blindsided that it was someone i hadnt even contemplated it being. I absolutely loved that it did. This last book had it all weird societies, attempted murder and so many plot twists it made my head spin trying to keep up with it. It was so good and an absolutely brilliant read

Shattered Kingdom is the second book in the Royal Falls Elite Series from Kristin Buoni. You need to read Twisted Elite because this is the conclusion of Laney and Hunter's story. Keep in mind this is a dark high school bully romance and may contain some trigger from some or others might find some of the subject matter to be offensive or disturbing.
This book is so so good that I couldn't put it down. This is the pay off where we get all the secrets and twist and turns to figure out all the questions everyone might have had after Twisted Elite. This book will have you on the edge of your seat too. However what makes this so amazing is the love story twisted up in all the suspense and twists and turns. I don't want to give away any of this story but I will say that never ever in a million years will you figure out who is behind it all. I know that I didn't see it coming and you could have knocked me over with a feather. If you love dark bully romances then the Royal Falls Elite Series is one you do not want to miss.

This book was good; however, there was way too much focus on the mystery, and not enough attention given to Hunter and Laney's love story. With that being said, the book was very well written, but I thought I was signing up to read a romance novel, not a suspense/murder mystery. It was just kind of disappointing, because I had been looking so forward to the final book in the series. I would recommend the series to those of you that like a good mystery, as long as you're aware there's not much romance in this one.

Excellent conclusion to Hunter and Laney's story.

This is book two in the Royal Falls Elite duet, so please be sure to read the prequel and book one before reading this book. Things with Hunter and Laney are a little bit complicated and confusing right now. Laney doesn't know who to trust after what happened at a school assembly with a certain video that should've never been made public. With everything going on with the Medusa society and the supposed suicide of Hunter's sister Lindsey, these two have a lot on their plates. This is an excellent dark bully romance duet and I highly recommend it!

Another great read from Kristin. This duet was really addicting. It had me hooked instantly and it kept me constantly trying to figure out who did it and who was behind everything. I had initially suspected a few people, but the more I read the more I questioned everything. But I never would’ve guessed how it played it. There were a few moments I was so frustrated I wanted to throw my phone, and scream at Laney for being so trusting- especially with Trina and the Medusa girls. I also wanted to shake sense into her, for all the bullying and mean things Hunter put her through, she always had hearts in her eyes for him and fell so easily.

Laney and Hunter were now on opposite sides since the episode with the movie of her. He protested he didn't do it and she decided then to be part of the Medusa Society, however the induction was short lived when Laney refused and ran away. Lets just say Laney had to watch her back. Then Hunter and Laney got back together to figure out the sex trafficking and Lindsay's death. Lets just say in the end Laney and Hunter had the HEA.

Kristin Buoni and Stella Hart have done a terrific job with this series. The twists and turns, the drama and angst, the lies and secrets, along with the secret societies all pooled together and surrounded a giant mystery with sucked me in and pulled me through the entire book. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the storyline, and even though Hunter and Laney get their happily ever after, I wish there would've been a little more romance once the mystery was solved. Otherwise, it's great.

Book 2 is way better than Book 1 *spoilers*

The mystery is fun! I really enjoyed that part of it. If it wasn’t for the ridiculous way the female main character “overlooked” her tasing/kidnapping/torturing I would have loved this series. Alas, she’s too basic - he barely says oops I’m sorry, my bad, so she’s all “let’s have sex” after you did all that - UGH UGH UGH.

If not for an idiotic weak female main character, this would have been great fun.

I was a captive to this mesmerising story...
Oh my, twists & turns & unimaginable deviant darkness, this was compelling, I just knew there would be even more revelations with every page & chapter. Had huge admiration for the young hero & heroine & whilst I'm not usually a fan of high school bully stories, this was in a class of its' own. A seriously well written page turner. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

Surprise Ending

This story has all sorts of twists and turns. Some you see coming and some you don’t, including the one at the end. There is mystery, intrigue, bullying, friendship, and love. Definitely worth purchasing.

This is an amazing conclusion to the Royal Falls story. I really loved the twists and turns the authors took you on. I couldn't figure out the ending until the very end! There were times when I thought Hunter and Laney were ridiculously naive, but then I had to remind myself how young they were. Brilliant book!

Ok read

I feel conflicted about the book. I disliked the book, but I did not love it. I read both books. The two books are about Laney and Hunter's story. The storyline starts well, but then it becomes a little unbelievable. The story contains a murder, underage sex trafficking,
and a teen rape victim.

Ok book two was actually better than the first.

There was more story development, and I was pleasantly surprised with the little twist at the end. The author led you in one direction, and really took a left turn. I appreciated that LOL!
