I like America Chavez and I wanted to like this but...the teen slang felt forced and very overdone. It’s a shame, it had some cool elements (the structure and art towards the end are wonderful) but it took my three reads to get through because the script made the character much less interesting than she could have been.

If her social media post is supposed to be authentic, someone is really full of herself here. However, when she is confronted with the villain, it is clear that America is fueled by her own self-importance, the villain is right and the comic before confirmed it. And her retort fits such a character as well.
And in the end we have a reality shattering event which suggests this entire world is just a dream of some deity or so. Odd.
