Suzanne
To say that my family is traditional would be an understatement, so I knew when I got pregnant unexpectedly with no husband in sight, they weren’t going to take it well. My brother Alex, the only one who ever has my back, asked his best friend to be there when we broke the news, hoping an outsider would temper their reactions. It. Did. Not. It went about as bad as I could imagine until—Matt saved the day. Now I have a baby daddy, and a not so fake fiancee to boot. Nothing can go wrong living in a make-believe relationship with the boy I’ve loved since I was eight. Nothing at all.

Matthew
I went that night to give Susie Q my support, not to almost punch her father and claim her as my own. I did though. The minute I saw the chance, I claimed her and her baby as mine. I don’t plan on giving them back.

Suzanne has found herself in quite the pickle with her family, a family with ties to the White House and a long line in politics. Being pregnant and alone, she could cost her brother votes and humiliate her entire family in the eyes of the country. But then Matthew, a long time family friend, speaks up and claims the baby as his. Can he claim Susie as well?

When reading a short story, it has to be well written and have enough back story for me to feel some connection to it; to love it. And Faye has this uncanny knack of doing just that and more. Sure, I always end up wanting more, but it’s because I fell so quickly for these characters that I become addicted to them. These characters demand more stories!!

Another fabulous read from the Forbidden Fruits Short series. Who else is ready to meet Eli in TALL, DARK, AND BROODING? This gal!! 5 Stars!!

The moment "His" landed on my Kindle, just like that I've finished it! That was ONE really enjoyable short story! It was sweet, steamy and it had a nice dose of family drama for sure! Suzanne and Matthew were just perfect for each other!

He’s honour personified
This story is about Suzanne and Matthew. Suzanne has (apparently) put shame onto her family because she has fallen pregnant out of wedlock. Her family has a long history in politics, and it wouldn’t look good for her to tarnish her family’s name and reputation. She had told her brother Alex (whom she’s close to) about her pregnancy weeks ago, and she had also told Matt. Her and Alex thought it best to tell the family her news with others in the house, to (hopefully) minimise the reaction of her parents – especially her father. But no such luck.
Even Matt surprisingly blurting out that he was the father after Suzanne’s own father bad-mouthed her and her unborn child, didn’t help the situation. It was also time for him to admit to little Susie Q how he really felt about her. And he needs to know that she’s loved him since she was just eight years old.
When they finally consummate their love it is sweet and sexy and passionate. They’re perfect together, and for each other. Suzanne’s family is for the most part not very supportive, whereas Matt’s family couldn’t be happier for the couple. Though I do like the ending, I didn’t like how abruptly it ended. I think there was so much more to tell. Unless there’s another book to come?
I give this book four and a half stars. The characters were great, and the dramas seemed realistic. It was definitely an enjoyable read.

Great Novella, great main characters

First off, I have to say I love novellas. They great and you can squeeze a complete story into any part of the day, and Amanda Faye’s book was one that I absolutely enjoyed spending time with.

Her writing is expressive and at times poetic. There was certainly a lot of story and emotion packed into those virtual pages! Matthew and Suzanna’s book was sweet and steamy, and emotional. Not everyone sees the imminent arrival of a baby as a blessing!

The contrast between the sets of family’s was like chalk and cheese. One is to be admired, and despite its apparent success and socio-political standing, the other is not. In no way would I want my child exposed to such sterile and verbally abusive people such as Suzanna’s parents. They were hideous. Matthew’s parents, on the other hand, were awesome, and I absolutely admired them for their unconditional love and support. Hell, I loved Matthew for his protective, caring and loving personality. He was everything that is perfect in a book boyfriend!

Yep, this was a great 4.5-star Novella read. Well worth the time spent with these characters.

He takes his chance to make her his

Add one unexpected pregnancy plus a political family and Suzanne finds herself in quite the situation. In this day and age I had a harder time buying into this story but then again it is played out all over the world in modern day. So when Suzanne, the black sheep of the family already, comes to the family BBQ to tell them she is pregnant out of wedlock it is Matthew who steps up and unexpectedly claims the baby is his. He has been in love with Suzanne for years and this is the opportunity to make her his if he can convince her. Matthew and his family are the complete opposite of Suzanne and hers. They may not have riches and great social standing but they do have love, compassion and great warmth and understanding. Which they envelope her and Matthew into without question.
This is a quick and lovely short story that has a lot of heart and makes you think.

Suzanne is a Belle which in this story is a political family of the highest refused and Suzanne is the black sheep already but she comes to the family bbq in the Hampton’s to announce she is pregnant out of Wedlock. Matthew is a long time family friend and steps in to be there for her and ends up saying the baby is his. Acting on his life long crush he sees his chance and jumps on it. He is the ultimate hero and this sweet story is all about timing and loving those even if the circumstances are not always ideal. Loved this story and felt it was easy to read and follow.

Swoon worthy

I hate Suzanna’s family. Her brother is slightly redeemable but the rest are politicians to the core and could care less about her or her well being of it doesn’t bring them views and power. Matthew being friends with her brother Alex forever steps you to play white knight. After an eventful drama filled night they both come to realize they have always had feelings for one another and him stepping to help has paved the ya for their relationship. They are adorable together and k totally agree with her how swoon worthy he is when he defends her against her ass of a father and brothers actions towards her.

This story is quite unique as a brother's best friend book. There is a slow burn, hidden feelings element that transforms into an epic grand gesture. I like Suzanna. I love Matt. I wish we could see the conversation between Matt and Alex but we do not get that, nor any epilogues for a glimpse into the future. Matt is swoonworthy, sweet, strong, loyal and protective. Very well written story with great characters.

This was a short, sweet, steamy kind of read. I really liked Matthew and how easily he stepped up and in for hos Susie Q. I wish the ending didn't seem so rushed but I loved that no matter what Matthew stood up to her parents and tried to block her at all cost. Susie is a sweet girl and I hated that her parents just tried to run all over her but when her dad called her a whore I about came unglued. Super sweet ending!

Ok if you are looking for a steamy and sweet short read please, please, please grab yourself a copy of this book. My review is going to be just as sweet and short as the book was. I went camping for the holiday weekend and curled up on a lounger by the water and read this book. The only issue I had while reading it was it ended too soon for me. Suzanne's family are a bunch of a$$holes, but Matthew makes up for their actions.

Suzanne is the outcast of the family because she chose not to enter politics or become another trophy wife. Instead, she throws up protective walls and withdraws when her parents start. When she finds herself accidentally pregnant, Matthew steps up. The characters are well developed for a novella and Matthew was so sweet. Loved it when he stood up to her father. Good read for a quickie.

When Susanne finds herself pregnant she is in a panic because of her family is a political family and this could damaging. Her brother's friend Matthew who she has had a huge crush on for years is there for her as support when she tells her family. When her hot headed father lashes into her Matthew steps up and claims the baby as his own. This is a sweet brother's best friend romance with great characters.

I knew going in this was a short, but it could easily been more. it's a book I wish was longer because Suzanne and Mike had me right from the beginning. I love a good brother's best friend/best friend's sister story. I loved Mike right away. Standing up for Suzanne and having her back total swoon worthy moment. I gobbled this one right up and like I said I could have had it keep going. I wasn't ready to part with Mike and Suzanne. I would recommend this one for sure!

Suzanna ends up pregnant her parents are not going to take the news well at all because she is single with no husband so her brother Alex asks his best friend Matthew there for support when she breaks the news but instead of just standing there Matthew claims that the baby is his and Suzanna’s father forces them into an engagement. Matthew has always wanted Suzanna and she has loved Matthew since she was a kid. A fantastic short story and I highly recommend this book.

An amazing book three in the Forbidden Fruit series! It is a fast pace, steamy, well written, funny, witty, emotionally deep, and engaging page turner with family drama and twists and turns. The characters you will love, especially Matthew who is a swoon worthy upstanding guy; the chemistry between them is off the charts. Wish the author provided an epilogue. Strongly recommended!

This romance was both sweet and steamy. I enjoyed reading it from both Suzanne and Matthew's points of view. I only wish it was longer. I know that part of why I selected this book was because I knew it would be a quick read, but I didn't want it to end.

A bit naughty with a whole bunch of heart!

I have really enjoyed reading this book, the author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major characters, but the minor ones too.
Also, it caused me to lose sleep because I couldn't wait another day to read it!

Amanda Faye knocks another short, but super steamy novella right out of the park with HIS. Every time one of her novellas hits my kindle I know it’s going to be a fun, flirty, and plenty yummy couple and just enough drama to keep me flying through the pages! Perfect quick read. 5 stars.

This is my first time reading anything from this author. It’s a very short read, so if you have an hour to spare, sit back with your feet up and enjoy. I really enjoyed reading this emotional story with two wonderful likable main characters. A great read.

Suzanna and Matthew are an unconventional pairing to say the least. She’s been overlooked and shoved aside by her politically driven family for years. Doctor Matthew is her big brother’s BFF so that’s a side issue. Great heartwarming story. I read this using my KU subscription.

This was so different from most of the books I read. I mean her family and that lifestyle is so far removed from my own reality but it was interesting to read about. I also thought it was realistically portrayed too. Plus, I loved the H! I will def be picking up more of her books in the future.
