I am Flowers of the Delta Clan Flowers and the Line of O Killens. I am hoodoo, i am griot,, i am a man of power. I am mythmaker. Since I can remember I have wanted to be a hero. A champion of the race. One of humanity's great teachers. I want the generations to love me. Call my name in time of need. This is my Text. An African American holybook. An African American Way. Most of my understanding has come from failure. I hope in this Work to find a measure of redemption.
Read it. Hoodoo philosophy. Not just magic, conjure steps, but thought process regarding survival, strategy, the motivation and intent behind the work. So much wisdom.
4 🌟 This is a deeply spiritual read and it's honestly something that you should only pick up if it calls to you in some way like it did me... But I can't rate it any higher than 4 stars because I honestly didn't understand a good 30 to 40 percent of it, with the unique wording, formatting style, and deep hoodoo lore / vernacular.
I will be buying a physical copy of this book soon though, because it's much wisdom and insight that I found applicable to my life and I'm only hoping to deepen my understanding of everything written within it throughout my own personal spiritual journey.
This was very insightful! You think your saved, sanctified, filled with the holy ghost granny was a nice lil Christian...whole time, she a hoodoo practitioner showing you the ropes.
