Double Exposure

I have a feeling her skin would taste better than the rare cask Macallan in my hand.
Deep, rich, sweet, warm... like sin.
She's much too young for me... a co-ed, to be sure.
But the devil is in the details of her eyes.
I want to swim in them as much as her divide.
She could give me the pleasure I desire...
Or she could destroy me.
A glance in my direction seals her fate. A twist of her hip... A lick of her lips...
I want to feel it, kiss it, bask in it.
But, her gaze cracks me open, exposing my every secret, my every sordid thought, and private moment.
And yet, that only makes me want her more.
She's as captivating as the classic works of art I profess to my students.
I shouldn't crave her. This is dangerous.
But, if I'm already going to hell, I’m going to relish every moment on the way down.

This. Book! Two beautifully broken characters finding each-other and helping heal one another, done in such a raw and real way. A forbidden romance to end all forbidden romances. It covered some tough topics to read at times but was done in such a sensitive way. It’s been a while since I’ve read a romance book that wasn’t either just straight up dark or fluffy, this one felt more emotional than anything else, but in a way where you felt
connected to the characters and were constantly rooting for them. It felt like there was an actual plot whilst both characters dealt with their different pasts and traumas, both individually and together. It truly felt like a book about genuine love and recovery.

The way these two supported eachother through dealing with their traumas, it was actually beautiful. They feel like they became each others rocks and safe places very quickly but in a really good way. I can’t put into words to explain the scenes these two shared when they were completely and utterly broken and how they supported eachother but it made their relationship seem real and raw and honestly for an almost insta love/attraction story it was done really really well. I felt invested in them from such an early point, and although they might not have had the most conventional of relationships it was so refreshing to see such a non toxic pairing and an absolute gentleman of a MC.

The found family aspects of this book too? Both Tristan’s and Nora’s friends, family’s and support systems were beautifully done. I love this trope in books because it really hits the nail on the head that family doesn’t always mean blood.

One thing I have to talk about is the consent in this book. This book made consent a front runner. Too many books are playing on this dubious consent like it’s a good thing and I HATE it but when I tell you this one has permission and consent down to perfection. It made me more invested in their relationship, it emphasised their chemistry, my guy was even asking permission to hold her hand, even talking her through every tiny touch whilst she was borderline catatonic and he was helping her, it felt personal I want more of this in books please. It might sound ridiculous but asking before you touch someone wether it’s in a platonic way or not, is ALWAYS appreciated.

The only ‘negative’ I would have about this book was that although it was well written there were times where I didn’t quite gel with the dialogue, it felt a bit stilted and too formal sometimes, but that just a personal thing more than anything!

I know a lot of this review seems to focus on the emotional parts of the book but they were just done in a great way in my opinion and I feel like that deserves credit. That being said there were fun moments, moments of levity, incredibly sweet parts between these characters and maybe even some steamy moments 👀 but in all seriousness this book was a good read, if you’re looking for a romance book with a bit more sustenance and plot then give this one a go - did I mention that Tristan is also a super hot artist/professor, if that’s helps you decide at all 😏

Please check ALL trigger warnings before hand because this one has a few!

Okay, I’m a bit sad that I’m choosing to DNF because I actually liked the story but the authors writing and writing habits was starting to really get to me. It was just so drawn out and was starting to take away from actually how sensual and good the actual plot was.
So DNFing at 45% 😔

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Double Exposure is a forbidden romance that has some really hard subjects to read about at times in it. For that reason it might hold some triggers for some readers and I just wanted to make you aware that there in the book. With that said though there talked about very gently in the book too. I don't want to make anyone not read this book but I thought it might be worth mentioning in case something would upset a reader.
This is the story of Tristan and Nora. The first day that Tristan sees Nora he knows that he has to learn everything there is to know about her. The very next day he is shocked as all get out to see Nora sitting in his class. Thee two have no idea just how they are going to change each others world with this meeting. They are two broken souls who need mending and just might find the ability to do that with each other weather they are suppose to or not. This book is raw and real and at times super emotional. It is a journey of healing and finding what you need just exactly when you need it weather your allowed to or not. I loved reading this book. It was so good and beautiful and all the words you could think of for beautiful. If you love a great connections between the characters, a whole of chemistry flying around and angst....oh goodness at all the angst, then you do not want to miss this one.

The first part of this book was a little slow for me. Just a few more details than I needed, but then it really kicked into gear and I could not stop reading. There were many elements that fit together perfectly. The story telling is fantastic in that it makes you feel like you are really there and experiencing all the things first hand. Both Nora and Tristan have pasts that could have destroyed them, but didn’t. Both need to learn what love really is and how to be vulnerable again. When they do, their connection is enviable. There were a few twists and turns that had my adrenaline blasting. If you’re into student teacher, age gap or a little suspense you will enjoy this book.

I really enjoyed this story. I love how Nora and Tristan understood each other without many words, how they were able to see into each other’s souls. The strength Nora found in Tristan is something we should all look for it our life partners. I love that this story show cases that true love means wanting to build your soul mate up and letting them shine.

This forbidden romance about Tristan and Norah is a memorable book that is well written and filled with a great mixture of emotions. These two characters meet at a club where they have an undeniable attraction. The next day their paths unexpectedly meet again this time as student and teacher. I really enjoyed this book especially when it comes to having characters that are flawed. They tend to be more interesting and dynamic which is also the case here. I'm glad I picked this one up!

This book is a very intense and sexy read perfectly told by Emma Nichole and Ariana Rose.
Tristan and Nora meet at a night club their eyes meet across the room and they have an instant connection. This is before they discover that Tristan is Nora's professor.
But they are drawn to one another in a way that cannot be explained not just physically but emotionally too,and so they start an elicit and romantic affair.
But they both have darkness in thier pasts, traumatic events have impacted both their lives, but every single moment that they spend together seems to heal them both...and their feelings for one another grows stronger, even though their connection is considered forbidden because they are student and professor.
I loved the way Tristan adored Nora and gave her the confidence she needed to take back control of her life. They were romantic and super sexy together and they were supportive of eachother and would fight for eachother if they needed.Their relationship was an equal one and that was something that Nora was not used to,but she blossomed under Tristans Love.
This is a very swoony read Emma Nichole and Ariana Rose have written an irresistable story that had me so intrigued of what would happen with these two characters.
A Captivating story that had me entertained and hooked from the start.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I Highly recommend this book.

When art professor Tristan sees Nora, it is instant attraction. He knows he must learn more about her. Little does he expect her to walk into his class the next day. Nora and Tristan each have a past, and each suffer in their own way from it. This is tale of two broken individuals who find each other, and work together toward healing and toward feelings that neither have ever experienced before.

The journey of each character is real and raw and amazingly told. This was an incredible romance with amazing chemistry and angst, that definitely left me wanting more.

Rating: 3.5/5⭐️
Spice: 0.5/3 🌶 (lots of tension though!!)

Tristian is one hunk of a man (AND he speaks French 👀🥵.) One of my favorite forbidden reads is student/teacher romance and when I heard that there were sign ups for this- I immediately jumped on it.

This was definitely different from what I read before as I’ve never read one where the school doesn’t have any rules on student teacher relations, but it fit perfectly!

Amazing Read! Hard to put down! 2 people, 2 lives, 2 paths that are connected with out them knowing. Tristan and Noras lives are connected in more ways then one and they dont realize it till the fall in love. The story shows the personal struggles, and that true love can conquer it all in the end.

Sexy Creeper

That's mean, but it's the vibe I got from Tristian at first glance. In Double Exposure, Ariana Rose gives us a May-December romance with a sexy professor and his student.

We start off with the usual meet-cute the night before and then the shock of seeing each other in class the next day. I wasn't a fan of Tristian right off the bat. He was arrogant and a bit of an a-hole. Nora was young and sweet and without the right kind of storyline, this teacher student romance can go all sorts of bad. In my eyes when a man with Tristian's personality constantly pursues a younger woman, she feels pressured. As the story unfolds, we see there are reasons why Tristian's walls are so high and I did start to sympathize and understand him.

We have an insta-love/lust thing going on, however also a healing of two broken souls, something I really like. Tristian and Nora both have some trauma from thier past that they are struggling to move on from. The road to happiness together is going to be a bumpy one, but that's what makes a good read.

The book is well written and I enjoyed the transformation of Tristian's personality, although he stayed a bit dramatic around the edges. Along with our main characters we have a handful of supporting characters to move the story along. Double Exposure reads as as standalone.

Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆ Heat: 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Angst: 💣💣💣💣 Plot: 📚📚📚📚📚

Do I recommend? HELL YES!

Trigger Warnings: BEWARE!

Tropes: Contemporary, age-gap, forbidden student/teacher

When Tristan first sees Nora across a crowded club, his thought was her skin would taste better than the rare cask of Macallan in his hand. Deep, rich, sweet and warm, like sin. When they meet, it’s an instant connection and their chemistry was explosive. The next day they are both shocked to find out that he’s her college professor. She’s too young for him. She could easily give him the pleasure he desired or she could destroy him. When she glanced in his direction, her fate was sealed. Her graze cracked him open, exposing all his secrets, every thought and private moment but it only makes him want her more. Looking at her is like looking at a priceless piece of art. Them together is way too dangerous, but if he’s already going to hell, he’ll enjoy every moment on the way down.
These two were beautiful together. Both had dark pasts that left them both feeling broken. I loved how they helped each other heal, becoming better people. The storyline pulled me in easily and kept me engaged until the end. Their story was gritty and raw bur so real and I respected that a great deal. I also love every time I run into “found family”. I really hope this isn’t the last from this author duo. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

Double Exposure by Arianna Rose and Emma Nichole is hands down one of the best forbidden Teacher / student romances I have read this year ..From the moment I sat down and started resend , I was hooked , so completely invested in Nora and Tristan’s story .two characters that are so intriguing and multi layered . Tristan and Nora first meet at a night club , the moment their eyes meet across the room you can literally feel the insane attraction they share . But all this is before they discover that Tristan is Nora’s professor. What will Happen? Well . Well your just going to have to find out for yourself . What I will say is that this is one of the sexiest books I have read in a while . It’s steamy , intriguing, twisty and emotional it will pull at all your heartstrings and leave you wanting more

Emotional Rollercoaster

Nora embarks on a path to achieving her college degree and leave her traumatic past behind. She didn't anticipate falling in love and with her teacher no less.

This story is captivating from the very beginning. A Love story filled with: Mystery, Intrigue, Trauma, Angst, Spice and forbidden love.

Will Nora enjoy her new life or will her past catch up to her and keep her from experiencing a love worth fighting for?

My first read from these authors and won’t be my last.
Nora is dragged out for a night out and catches the eye of a man in the club, he’s watching her dance but she can’t trust anyone just yet, not after her last relationship.
Tristan is Professor Sloane at Hyde University. A well respected one in the art community, he knows his stuff about the art world and is exceptional himself at painting and playing the piano and violin.
Meet Nora, attempting university a little older than some of her fellow students. She is a fully fledged art lover, has an understanding of its meaning and loves a good day out studying artwork.
She wants to blur into the background but she can’t help herself from speaking out in the Professors lesson as she doesn’t agree with his point of view.
But this is just the start of it all, they both help each other fight their dark secrets and skeletons, clawing to make them unhappy but it’s no march when they have each other to crawl out of it all.

I enjoyed the story, I do love a good professor love story but this had a twist in it and really didn’t see some of the story weaved in the background.
Some of the dialogue I felt was a little old fashioned sometimes but I put that down to just their personality and old ways maybe.
All in all I enjoyed it and look forward to reading more books from these authors.

Tristan is a Dark Darcy

Several things I enjoyed regarding this book were the fact the over flowery words were from the male character as opposed to the woman. Nora had an inner strength we noticed more as the book progressed. The start of the story builds on the intense attraction between the artist and his muse, however as the story unravels it takes on more of a thriller tone. The other point I like is the plot is not resting on the whole professor/student relationship. They actually deal with this issue like a mature adults, (gasp!).

Nora, a woman with a dark past and alluring body like a siren is down to earth and likable. Tristan had a way with words best describes as Austen like. He is dark Mr. Darcy filled with desire for his Petal, but convinced he must pay penance.

Holy smokes! Talk about hot. That's what happens with you get two masters of steamy romance together to write on helluva steamy book. But it wasn't just a great romance. It had so much heart and emotion to it. I was addicted from page one. I dare you not to fall for Tristan and Nora. They are two broken souls that find healing in each other. But of course that's not without complications. If you love angsty romance, let me introduce you to your new favorite book. Also hello professor and student fans! Warning...reading in public, you will blush. I can't wait to see what else these authors bring us.

This is Tristan and Nora’s story. Both characters have a past which has left them broken, which they manage in their own ways, and when these two find each other, they become each other’s safe place, and they support and heal each other. This is a well written story which is raw, gritty, and an emotional roller coaster, with angst, undeniable chemistry, family, friendships, and love, which leads to a sweet and enjoyable page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented duo whose work I recommend.
