Not what I expected

And not in a good way. I’ve read Coppola for quite some time now and this book reminds me of one of her earlier works, The Murder of Emily Fisher . Again, not in a good way. Emily Fisher was redundant with
“soft chuckles” and “chuckled softly”. It was irritating and very off putting.
This book is even worse. The word “teasing” and “teasingly” is used WAY WAY too frequently.
I’ve not noticed this cheapness in earlier books, particularly the Witness Protection” and “Midnight Requisition” series.
The characters are not consistent either.
It suggests strongly to me that she either co-authored this book and worse, just completely lost her direction.
Major disappointment.

Another great story by Holly Copella! I was so happy to see another book in this series. It was a great read with a wonderful adventure! Some interesting characters have come to stay at Scorpio's hotel in Maine. One group of Zach's friends, mostly ex-military, there to chill and get over something from their past, and a group of spoiled little rich kids wanting to set up a destination wedding. All of a sudden some bodies start showing up, people disappear and strange things happen... Who is responsible?

Enjoyable Series

It was another fine time with Scorpio, Kane, Zack, Mac and the others. One of their hotel guests is a murderer and they have to figure out who did it and why. One of Zack’s special guests, Hayden, is getting close to Scorpio and making her question her relationship with Raynor. I did t want to like Hayden but I came around as we learned more about HUS tragic past.
