Disarmed: A Mafia Romance (The Blaze Trilogy Book #2) by Aria Blake is a sexy mafia romance that continues the story of Diego and Diego and Mia. While it is highly recommended that you read the first book, you could actually get away with just jumping into this one and enjoying it as is. Regardless, you’ll get a fantastic story with romance, drama, sexual tension, and a mafia flare that’s just the perfect mix for a fast-paced, fun read.
The story picks up with Mia running for her life when she finally ends up at Diego’s door. Of course, he’s not pleased after she’s been missing for years. Their relationship is strained—like, really strained—and we spend the book seeing them trying to get back to where they were once before. It’s sweet, sexy, and filled with some amazing scenes that will leave your heart wrenching.
The chemistry between the two main characters was absolutely amazing, and it had me captivated the whole way through the book. I also loved how Mia was able to work through her demons and that Diego was able to learn to forgive. The mafia aspect went along perfectly and added that hint of drama and danger.
I was pleased to see the growth that the author displayed between books. Even though the first book was quite good, I thought this one was even stronger. It had just the right amount of action, relationship issues, and sex to make this romance hit the spot. The characters were fantastic and were wonderful together. I’d highly recommend Disarmed: A Mafia Romance.
