I've read a few of Nathan's other books, but this one is very different. It's dark and grabs hold of you until you get to the last page and realize it's the end.
Don't let the synopsis fool you. There are so many layers to this one. It's so much more than a Mother trying to save her daughter.
Samantha reaches out to the last person she'd like to admit to, that she needs help.... John. Once upon a time, Samantha and John were a thing, but it didn't exactly end how he would have liked. Now, Samantha waltzes back in John's life thinking that he'll be all too happy to help her. He doesn't make anything easy for her...
I was shocked just how hot I found certain things in this book. There is a scene in the beginning that I can't even explain. It's sexy in a way that breaks some sort of rule. Or maybe several rules. John's personality adds to the whole mysterious vibe. It's all told from Samantha's POV, so you never really know what is going through John's head.
Just when you start to realize what sort of person John is, he does something so bonkers. I'm not sure how Nathan comes up with this crazy stuff, but I'm glad he does.
The ending... I thought it worked perfectly. It gives you enough, to make you want more.... without filling in all the pieces for you.

Amazing!
OMG! What a crazy hot sexy book, the writing was amazing kept you interested in the story from the beginning to the end, I definitely recommend this book.
