Cam Derringer #6

Same Old Song

Rate this book
The most shocking book in the series so far.In a world where shadows whisper secrets, Cam and Diane stumble upon a lethal, clandestine team; a myth birthed and denied by the very heart of the US government.

But when they unearth personal links to their own lives - and hearts - they're jerked into a chilling vortex of decisions and deeds that could shatter them. A dream come true becomes a nightmare for Cam as he fights to get a hold on reality.

Is it possible that what he is seeing with his own eyes is real?

Brace for impact, because nothing is as it appears in this pulse-pounding thriller.

Cam is one lucky dog!!

juggling Three women at one time. I don't think it's worth the grief and aggravation! It was a good read a little confusing keeping track of who is who but in the end, all three women were gone. Now he is a lucky dog again, maybe with friction burn.!

Same Old Song

What an enjoyable read with all the elements of a fun and suspenseful thriller set in Key West! Mac Former really delivered on this one! Plenty of boating action and as usual Cam has challenges balancing his numerous love interests. Best read the series from the beginning to bring some clarity to all the great characters! Don't miss the excitement of a Cam Derringer adventure!

Old Cam Is A Chick Magnet!

Cam’s got women problems…his dead wife is not dead after all and she shows up as well as Kailey and Robin. He also take time to fall in bed with the sheriff for a little stress relief. Lots of action, suspense, bombs, assassins, kidnapping, shootings, car chases and Walter being his cute self.

Don't mess with the ladies

Great read. The hard part is trying to heel the ladies strait in my head. Way too much aggression for women to master. Plot was great and the movement through was done with quite a surprise. Loved the plot, sorry Time had to end in such a way. On to the next installment.

The series keeps getting better

This story has many twists and turns. Many characters also, but was able to keep up with them. Great story and finish. I enjoyed learning about the characters "other lives" and travels.

WTF

Just a lot of killing, and what was the plot? What is this group's purpose? All mixed in with Cam sticking it in every woman he knows. Walter is the only redeeming character in the whole book!

I know these books are fiction, but some just try to hard to make them exciting and try to pack to much into the storyline.

Another rollicking adventure through the Caribbean with Cam. I have almost as much trouble as Cam has with all of his lady friends. This is a great "read by the pool" series.

Same Old Song - a review by Rosemary Kenny

P.I. Cam Derringer has a fairly ordinary life - until his supposedly dead wife, Malinda, reappears.
As if that weren't enough to come to grips with, she leads a double life as an assassin, goes by an alias, is known to police, (as revealed by Cam's occasional lover, Robin) has paid off people to lie to and confuse the grieving Cam, (whom she's been spying on) and even threatens his daughter, Diane, to coerce Cam to help her get to her target. What will Cam decide to do next?

Same Old Song, by Mac Fortner, could be a spy-thriller, a second-chance romance, a James Bond spoof, a case of mistaken identity or a combination of any/all of these factors or more.
With more twists and turns than a Chubby Checker Marathon Dance-Off, you might be left feeling a little dizzy with confusion, until you get to the last pages, where hopefully all will become clear.
Try it - you might like it!
