Sa. Viswanathan alias Saavi a famous Tamil author contributed important novels in Tamil history. Washingtonil Thirumanam was written by Saavi. A gentle story with a hilarious touch by Chavi would keep the readers (of course born with Tamil as mother tongue) laughing till the end.

The Author has beautifully written his travel experiences of his Thailand tour. Their culture, people, history, beliefs and politics are all touched. The interesting linguistic connection between Thai and Tamil, the Hinduism related connections like popularity of Ramayanam Myth there, The tolerance of Thai people in religious matters are good to know. How the poverty pushes the Thai women into prostitution but how its socially accepted business there, all are naratted as part of their interactions with Thai people. A good and quick read.
