There's a lot of truth in how this all started...* The love of your life found, then lost...then found again? With that in mind I feel confident in recommending 'Finding Rose' and the whole 'Love should never be this hard' to all lovers of romantic fiction."
This is embarrassing because this is my own book... and I just hope I am not contravening the rules of this very CONFUSING social media site. More about Finding Rose can be found here. Finding Rose is my first book, after which I wrote a follow up (Rose: The Missing Years) which should ideally be read first. But no matter, each book works as a stand alone title, with the same basic storyline seen from two separate perspectives. The spark for this romance was based on a true-life experience, but from that point onwards the 'coming of age' journey is purely fiction - so it is not a memoir, albeit drawn from life. The novel explores emotions surrounding joy, loss and hope featuring three main characters - Rose and two suitors, John and Sean. Finding Rose chronicles the story through John's eyes; Rose: The Missing Years is mainly centred around Rose, a beautiful gypsy girl resourceful enough to meet the challenges of a changing cultural, economic and social era in the '60's and '70's.
