She is an intriguing, mysterious girl who he can't quite figure out, especially when he notices how she is willing to give Indians the benefit of the doubt. Will he figure out her real identity? ONE DELIGHTFUL THRILLING TREAT!!!
Round up! Carol just cranked my tractor, blowing me away with this delicious and thrilling treat, bringing one action packed, hard hitting, page flipping wonder home, rocking this baby to the core, wrapping this gem up sleek shiny and tight. Carrying the load and towing the line, delivering this pulse racing, heart pounding, adrenaline pumping, block busting bombshell, keeping you riveted on a razors edge and frozen to your seat. Braided, bound and entangled, showcasing the explosive ups and agonizing downs, grounding in it's simplicity and awe-inspiring in it's depth, drawing our characters closer than they could have ever imagined. Chicanery runs rampant and adversity is rife, noting the drama, revelations, intrigue, secrets, spiraling suspense and unnerving situations, along with a boatload of mayhem while dodging destruction, you have one block busting adventure. The attraction and chemistry builds as each layer is peeled back exposing an thrilling emotions, binding them to one another perfectly. The characters are authentic and realistic with depth and qualities that add diversity, transforming into amazing personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline poo. Amazing job Carol, thanks for sharing this awesome little gem with us.

Great goodread!

Ms.Colyer has caught the essence of the Western Expansion. When two cultures collide, there is always fallout. It was not infrequent that small children were captured rather than killed by many of tne native tribes. This story shows how there are good and bad on both sides. This was a blessed young woman, because not only did she survive the attack, she was able to assimilate into the tribe, learning their ways and being loved by them. She also came to recognize that she could never live the life planned for her by her Creator because many of the tribe held the same prejudices toward her that the whites carried against the natives. It is interesting to me that many tribesmen allowed marriages between their families and the settlers, while others basically shunned each other. A pity this mistrust is carried out even today. Perhaps more people shold try tolerance as a rule than an exception.
Thank you for a very goodread; your talent as a writer is much appreciated.

Carol Colyer has outdone herself with this novel that is well-written, filled it with a magnificent cast of characters who you fall in love, with a strong plot, great dialogue, remarkable emotions, with setting descriptions and action sequences that are wonderfully vivid which brings this read together perfectly and will keep you captivated from the moment you begin the journey with Michael and Kalani until the very end! As they rediscover their feelings for one another will they be able to overcome all their trials in this sweet heart felt story full of drama, faith, uncertainties, prejudice, danger, heartbreak and while the suspense builds and tension escalate make this one enjoyable read!

This is exciting, emotional in many different ways, suspenseful, has twists and turns and much more. She was taken by Indians when she was younger. Later in years she ends up back in a white town. But is treated badly because of where she was. He is mourning a lost love which is her. He hires her to cook but know there is something about her. He wants to know who she really was but she is scared to tell him. She still looks to her Indian ways sometimes and considers them her family. Such a mess in some ways. Can they work it out? Can she get him to understand? I highly recommend it. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.

What’s in a name

My heart just about broke for Ariana, Little Bird and Kalani but at the same time I admire her so much because life was harsh with her yet she had the strength of endure, to hope, to love. I’m glad she found her way. As for Michael, he’s absolutely incredible! The world needs more like him. Although some of this actions and earlier beliefs I don’t condone, he’s such a beautiful soul, loyal and true. To have the inner strength to love someone for such a long time even with the clout of death is absolutely breathtaking!

Have you ever wonder how the universe works? It is a mystery to me all I know is that I just finished a wonderful book by Loretta C. Rogers with this same story idea and now Ms. Colyer has written an outstanding one also. Twists and turns await the reader it is exciting in parts and emotional in others and so well-written. The strength of the characters will amaze you Michael is wonderful and Kalani what a truly splendid lady. High praise and a must-read for those of us that love historical westerns I highly recommend this gem.

This is a story about Kalani and Michael. Kalani was born Ariana. She was taken at age 10 by thee Indians. Ten years later she returns to the town where she had lived. She takes a new name to hid who she was as she is afraid of the white man. Michael was her childhood friend. He becomes her friend and love grows between them once they learn to trust each other.
I really enjoyed this book. It showed the kindness that the American Indians were capable of. Yet they could be very savage too just like white men could.

Returning to her True Love

I received an ARC of this book from the author, Carol Colyer, and this is my voluntary and honest review. I enjoyed this beautiful love story between Michael and Kilani. The way the strife between the Indians and the white people was handled made the story more interesting. I had trouble putting this book down after I started reading it, because the story moved along at a good pace. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy a book with a HEA that is a clean romance.

Kalani used to be known as Ariana Johnson. That is until the day she was captured by Native Americans during a raid on her families ranch. Kalani didn't feel loved by anyone in her life except her best friend Tom Michael. When her Native parents pass on she is left with the choice of returning to the white mans world. She chooses to go back and see if she can make a new life. She starts a new job not long after for a man named Michael. Such an intriguing story and heart warming story all rolled into one.

This is a wonderful story of love and hope. The author delicately portrays the friction between the Indians and the White Man, enabling the reader to understand both sides of the conflict. Kalani acts as a bridge between both, and an instrument of peace. In this well written love story, Michael gets a second chance with his lost love, and a new outlook on life. This book is captivating, engaging and impossible to read without becoming emotionally involved. Very well done!

Returning For Her Happy Ending

I thoroughly enjoyed this story from start to finish. It held my interest. It had many different parts, each a part of Aria becoming Lalani, and her return to being a white woman, after her capture by the Indians and growing up as an Indian. Her return was a slow learning process, but she had Bonnie, who owned the hotel. She taught her more about living in the white world. You won’t be sorry you started this story.

Trading an unloving home to one with abundant love.

A dangerous event with an abduction that leads to a better life. This is a thought provoking story that is rife with hatred for the Indians. This is a very good book that has danger, compassion some humor and lots of love. Very encouraging to read.

Amazing story of how love can triumph

Kalani and Michael are wonderful people. They've both grown up in a world of white vs. Indian, both have been directly affected. How can they get along when each shares such a different view of their world. Can they have a happy ending. Great writing as it has everything you want in a western love story.

Carol Colyer did this story so much different! A girl who grew up with the Indians but isn't accepted by most white people. Torn between two lives! Very strong story line with the characters are the same. Very emotional story! It's a very much of a read.

Lies and prejudice

Can a white child raised by Indians rejoin her race as an adult. Both of her families don't want anything to do with other races. Why did the child's father lie about her death?

A new take on an old tale.

Not feeling it.

This book was mediocre at best. I was not pleased with the wording . It felt too "stiff". Too modern. Extended epilogue just took it too far. I did not read. From what I already read, I can guess the ending.....

So glad for the Happy Ending

Good book. Kalani went through so much and still maintained her love for humanity through her relationship with God. Micheal was reformed and left the hatred behind. A page turner.
