This book did its job: made me want to visit Paris and introduce me to little-known places in the city instead of just the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre all over again. The illustrations grew on me, because the lack of details made me want to see the real thing. It even teaches you some French, which is good.
However, while Paris is cool, it is still a city. Half of the places mentioned in the book have probably closed by now. Even though this book is meant to encourage adventure, adventure is not what you should do. Just be safe. This book’s companion might help you be safe, but I feel this book encourages behavior that might put the unwary tourist in harm’s way.

Loved it ! Great little book for an insider's tours of many Paris highlights with endearing artwork.
