Married to the same man for over 25 years, I am a mother to three children and two Miniature Wiener dogs.

After owning a business and experiencing considerable success, my husband and I got caught in the financial crisis and lost everything in 2008; our business, our home, even our car.

At this point, I put my B.A. in Poly Sci to use and took work as a waitress and bartender (Insert irony). Unwilling to give up on a professional life, I simultaneously went back to college and obtained a degree in Energy Management.

And then the energy market dropped off.

And then my dog died.

I can only be grateful for this series of unfortunate events, for, with nothing to lose and completely demoralized, I sat down and began to write the romance novels which had until then, existed only my imagination.
After publishing over twenty novels now, with one having been nominated for RWA’s Distinguished ™RITA Award in 2019, I am happy to tell you that I have finally found my place in life.

𝗠𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄

Will this journey lead her to societal accomplishment or simple love ...

At first, I was not certain I would be able to like this book, having met the heroes in the previous stories, I was not a great fan of the heroine. But the author did her magic thing with ink and words in lieu of a wand.
Sure in the introduction chapter, Tabetha was everything I dislike in a debutante, dismissive of those she sees under her, blind to the faults of the titled, too deaf to be reasoned because she is only aiming for a crest, the higher, the better.
Yet in the same time, she is also very young and still mourning her father’s demise. And the promise she made to him. Her only mistake is to believe she must fulfill a promise vow even if it might lead to her unhappiness.
Stone is no broken man, nor wounded hero. He is just a man whose families circumstances changed and it threw him in a world he did not knew, but it was also how he meet his friends. And now because of a lost bet, he is shadowing a miss very determined to escape him. Over the weeks, he got to know Tabetha, and while she is spoiled, bratty and sometime childish, she is also fun and full of life.
From her elopement, the real adventure begins, one none of them expected but once thrown together out of society’s constraints, they show a different face than the usual mask they wore.
Amnesiac Tabetha display a different persona, when freed from her lofty pursuits, her true self is so very far from her society’s mask. While Stone has always seen past her ton’s attitude, he is seduced by this new Tabetha. She is charming and straightforward. A woman who seems to see him wholly and not his lack of title first.

A witty and entertaining journey with a hairless kitty, a miss suffering from memory loss and her chivalrous knight without a shinning armor.

Annabelle is going to drive you wild with her Cocky Mister Stone.
This man can cause the most sedate among us to thrill with anticipation, he’s a beautiful man, tough, rough, but undeniably satisfying to read about.

His lady is one not to be trifled with, and this makes for a wonderful adventure of passion and romance between the two.
Roll on the next book.

So much to love about this book! Loved Lady Tabetha Wellstone's and Stone Spencer's relationship, starting from their animosity and dislike through the journey to mutual love. Loved the mishaps along the road. Loved the cat. Loved the supportive family. Ok, didn't love the Duke, but that would have been impossible. Other couples from the series make an appearance. but this story can be read as a standalone. Amazing read.

Cocky Mister is the third book in the Regency Cocky Gents series by Annabelle Anders, and it’s another wonderful addition to the series. Although this can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel, I do recommend reading the series in order – especially if you want to enjoy all the little insights that we get into the side characters.

As with the prior books in the series, I found Cocky Mister impossible to put down. Once I started this one, I was desperate to see how everything came together. It was a story I happily devoured in a single sitting, one I found impossible to pull myself away from. Both the characters and the story hooked me, ensuring I was eager for more. I could not get enough of the events and the way the characters developed, leaving me to smile at all their interactions.

Without a doubt, Cocky Mister is a fabulous addition to the series. I have high hopes for what comes next and cannot wait to devour the next book in the series.

I love this book, I adore Stone, I adore Tabetha, ok not in the beginning, I love the story of Stone and Tabetha, and I even adore Archimedes (Archie). I always enjoy Annabelle Anders writing style and while reading her books the time goes so quickly. I never want to put the book down that is how much I enjoy them. This is the 3rd book in the series, but you do not have to read the other book to read this book, but some of characters in the first two books are in this book. (Tabatha is the sister of the main characters in those books) I can not wait for the next books.
I received an ARC copy of this book for my honest opinion.

I didn't quite like Lady Tabetha very much in #2. She is no better at the start of this book. However, she becomes very pleasant, especially when she loses her memory and falls in love.
This is such a fab series so far. I love it! 5☆

Cocky Mister
Regency Cocky Gents, Book 3
Annabelle Anders, author

Exciting and adventurous from the beginning to the end.

I loved ♥ both Stone Spencer and Lady Tabetha Fitzwilliam. They were definitely a match for one another. Steamy sensual chemistry between the two. Oh my. I absolutely love how Ms. Anders keeps her characters alive, strong and engaging from one storyline to the next.

I can honestly say, I always look forward to her next novel. She definitely has what it takes to write a long family saga. And, I for one will be right there waiting. I highly recommend this book.

I was gifted an advanced reader copy of the book. I chose to leave this review voluntarily.

Continuing in the world of the Cocky Earl and Cocky Baron, Cocky Mister is Stone’s story. He has been watching over Lady Tabetha, the Earl’s sister, to keep her out of trouble, since the Earl married his bride in an earlier book.

Lady Tabetha is a handful. She is obsessed with marrying a Duke, since her beloved late father encouraged her girlhood fantasies of being a duchess. She seems to have nabbed one, the Duke of Culpepper, and decides to elope to Greta Green with him.

Stone Spencer, second son of the Earl of Ravensdale, is wealthy, but just a mister, a fact that Tabetha has berated him for often enough to make their relationship contentious at best. He’s friends with Tabetha’s brother however, and takes guarding her seriously, and so is the first to figure out that she has run off with Culpepper.

Stone gives chase all the way to Gretna Green, arriving just in time to rescue Tabetha, who has developed a case of cold feet.

This is all the setup for the bulk of the story, which I won’t give away here. Fair enough to say that Stone and Tabetha need to do a little soul searching to find their HEA.

I liked Stone, and Tabetha grew on me after starting out as a silly spoiled brat. The book is steamy, so don’t read if you don’t like that sort of thing. Note—Stone’s younger brother Peter’s story can be found in the novella Mayfair Maiden.

The book was pretty action packed and Stone and Tabetha’s developing s
Love story was entertaining. I enjoyed the ARC and am voluntarily leaving this review.

ANOTHER SPECTACULAR READ BY ANNABELLE ANDERS! Cocky Mister by Annabelle Anders is book 3 in the Regency Cocky Gents series and oh what a series it is. Annabelle never disappoints and her stories are oh so very exciting to read. Though in a series this book can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you read them all. Truly one of the best series I have read this year. I found it to be an easy read and a spot on feel of the regency era. This story is original and I just can’t say enough of the creative and imaginative this story brings. This story has only wanting to marry a duke, a promise to a father, not feeling good enough, a brother’s best friend, eloping to Greta Green, wanting to marry for money, a chase, a lost bet, rescue and falling in love. What an exciting and wonderful read. I highly recommend this book and am holding my breath for the next in this series.

The Cocky Mister is book 3 in the Regency Cocky Gents series by Annabelle Anders and has it all from an abduction, rescue, a bout of amnesia, witty banter and lots of steamy scenes.

Tabetha and Stone were wonderful together. She is a Lady on the look out for a Duke to fulfil her promise to her dying father. Stone is looking out for her as a favour to her brother but he is a second son to an Earl and not good enough in her eyes. What Stone lacks in a title he makes up for in being incredibly handsome and strong and cocky of course. They butt heads at every turn but he's always there to rescue and protect her.

This was an engaging and steamy regency romance. I received an ARC and my views are my own.

Cocky Mister is book three in the Regency Cocky Gents series by Annabelle Anders. I have enjoyed this series so far. I think Cocky Mister is my favorite story. It can be read as a standalone, but it’s a richer experience to read the books in order. There are steamy scenes. I liked the “enemy” to lovers trope, and there are some very funny scenes too. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Hate to Love
The H and h did not like each other in the beginning which led to a lot of back and forth bantering between the characters. Stone is the second son of an earl who was asked to watch over his friend’s little sister. Tabetha is a bit irritating as she comes across as a spoiled deb. She only wants to marry a duke. She puts Stone down quite a bit for not being titled. But due to some hasty decisions and a case of amnesia they both come to see who the other person really is. I connected better with them because I began to understand their back story and why they are the way they are. I ended up rooting for them and also the cat to have a hea! I was given an ARC of this book and chose to post my review.

If Lady Tabetha Wellstone can land a titled gentleman for a husband especially a duke, she’s certain to earn her mother’s approval once and for all. So there is no way she’ll allow herself to fall for Stone Spence, second son of the Earl of Ravensdale—a mere Mister, for heaven’s sake. Even if he is tall, dark and incredibly handsome. As the loser of a bet, Stone ‘wins’ the distinctive honour of watching out for his good friend Lord Westerley’s youngest sister for the duration of the spring season. She’s spoiled, and headstrong and determined to make his task impossible.
This is third book in the series & whilst it could be read on its own, the Cocky Gents are a delight. I just loved Tabetha & her determination to marry a Duke & this nearly leads to her ruination. Stone is the epitome of a hero, the attraction between the pair can’t be denied & the more time they spend together the more the attraction sizzles. However it is the verbal bantering which lifts this book above the parapet. A lovely romance with a flight, a chase, an accident & Archie who steals the book. A well written, delightful, captivating read & I look forward to the rest of the series
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

A mister who deserves 5 stars and more words than I can say. And a hairless/Sphinx cat who deserves 20 stars!

A spoiled debutante who wants nothing more than to be a Duchess, he is a mere Mister, but she gets kidnapped he comes to her rescue, she falls and hits her head, forgets who she is, forgets who he is and he is the only one who is there to help her.. But they also do some much needed soul searching which leads to a very happy ending.. Not only did I enjoy the characters but I loved the hairless cat in the story!! The story overall was steamy, funny, full of action, Love and so much more..

I received this as an arc for an honest review and these are purely my thoughts and no one else's views

Great addition to the Cocky Gents series! Loved this because it’s an enemies to lovers story! As with all Annabelle Anders books, the character development is great!

Although part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone.

🌶️ First meh from the series for me, but it’s just a little meh, not a big one, and only because it’s that amnesia as a trope was so overused when I was younger (1970s/1980s) in both books, movies and on TV that I really never cared for its use… that or I quickly grew out of it.

Here, in this storyline, it’s just a bit too cringey. Yes, the methods and means of getting Tabetha to a position where it comes in “handy” is well done, but Stone Spencer has been portrayed up until now as a man with morals, especially where his friend Westerley’s sisters are involved.

However, grain of salt, we readers are aware that of course these two will follow the formula and gain a Happily Ever After, and that those of us who have read previous books in the series that Stone has apparently had a thing for Tabetha before this story begins (I never really noticed it), but it’s just not established in the pages well enough. Hence, the cringe.

I understand the reason for his initial lies, but then it just unravels into a position where it’s just disturbing how he manipulates Tabetha because he’s starting to like who she is without her old haughty ways (and his libido at the forced proximity/only one bed trope is seriously testing his limits).

Because Tabetha stripped from her desperate need to marry a Duke (and therefore become a Dutchess) is a very likable person. Stone himself is interesting to learn more of as well, but for all of the morals he claims to have and the guilt he feels over his lies, the more disappointed in him I was becoming.

The reasons for staying in Gretna Green were strained at best, and I was surprised Stone never bothered to even send a message back to Tabetha’s family to at least try and let them know he had found the headstrong girl and that they wouldn’t be heading back for a few days.

I get it- the lies we’re allowing both Stone and Tabetha to drop their walls and be who they truly were, but I still felt like I the reader was being manipulated into agreeing such behavior was acceptable. And it’s not, no matter what spin the author offers up.

But this is a work of fiction and red flags be damned in series like these, right?

Archemedies steals pretty much every scene he’s in and makes for a bit of light-heartedness in a storyline that covers some of the darker aspects of the age it’s set in. That poor cat has the patience of a saint to put up with everything he does… and he’s easily the most lovable character of the book.

But if you overlook the ick of all the lies, the idea of Stone and Tabetha together isn’t bad- in fact I really do like them together, and their banter is unite sweet. It’s obvious Stone is head over heels for Tabetha and vice versa, and that’s really what matters in the end, right?

What a great read with wonderful characters that will leave you enjoying the HEA, even though you have just experienced many different things - losing a gambling debt to your best friend, sentenced to watching over a spoiled debutante, the obsession to marry a duke, being kidnapped by a duke who is mean & evil, rescuing debutante, ignoring feelings felt - she wants a duke & he is a mister, we also have amnesia, fake marriage, and much more.

Stone Spencer is handsome, loyal, single & the second son of the Duke of Ravensdale & after losing a bet to his friend the Earl of Westerly, he was to keep watch over the spoiled beautiful Tabetha during her season while Westerly was on his marriage trip. The bantering & scenarios that took place during this time is so entertaining, funny & romantic.

Lady Tabetha Fitzwilliam has lived & been tutored her entire life to marry a title & the last thing she promised her father was she would marry a duke & that has been her obsession. She hates the fact that her brother has Mr. Spencer following her & their banter is so much fun & she is quite nasty to him - after all he is just a mister, no matter how handsome he may be. She has found her duke, even though few are happy about her choice & then to top it off she elopes to Gretna Green with him. But on the trip, she discovers him to be mean & evil & escapes from him along with taking his hairless cat, Archimedes (Archie) with her.

Stone chases after them but even after finding Tabetha along the road with the hairless cat, the trip back to London will not be smooth or easy. When they stop at an Inn at both get bosky on whisky, go shopping for some clothes for her & Archie, they decide to get married to keep her safe from the duke following them. Then she falls down the stair, hits her head & has a case of amnesia. Now all feelings have changed as she doesn't remember anything about him, he cannot resist her & she finally wears his down. The road back to London was an adventure, I loved every minute pls Tabetha finally learned that love is what makes you happy not a title! I voluntarily read & reviewed an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book; all thoughts & opinions are my own.

Starring Mr. Stone Spencer and Lady Tabetha Fitzwilliam... aka Mr. and Mrs. Chester.

Tropes: Enemies to Lovers, Bodyguard, Older Brother’s Best Friend, Lady and a Mister, Married in Haste, Forced Close proximity, and Amnesia.

I’m changing the title to...”The Cocky (Mis)Adventures of Tabetha and Stone.... and a hairless cat”. OR “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way Back from Gretna Green”. Omg I was laughing so much throughout this book. Stone and Tabetha are going on my “2020 favorite book couples” list. They were so much fun!!

Okay, I confess... I was a little wary of Tabetha when she was introduced in the other books. Kinda superficial girly-girl with Duke on the brains. But when amnesia strikes, her snobbish trappings fall away, and what’s left is a woman who can finally be herself... and she is beautifully kind, hilariously funny, and has a lot of depth. She made me smile a lot. Tabetha is definitely a heroine worth cheering for.

I’ve been waiting for Stone’s book... and I was so delighted with his story!! Such a wonderful hero who is determined to protect Tabetha at all cost. Some of his inner monologue had me doubled over in laughter (“table levitating” one especially). I absolutely loved everything about him.... swoon-worthy!!

There are so many scenes in this book that gave me all the wonderful feels. I highlighted like cray!! I enjoyed every second I spent with Tabetha and Stone. I did not want this book to end!!

Annabelle Anders is one of my “go to” authors... I know that her books are a guaranteed “punch me in the feels”. She is a keeper shelf author... I love getting lost in her world.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily review it and the comments are 100% my own.

My star rating: 5 stars
Ugly cried AF. Major book hangover. Characters and storyline were freaken amazeballs. Made me wanna hug the author for writing a book that gave me all the feels!! Will definitely be re-reading this story over and over and over again!!

A funny but serious look at the driven ambitions of a spoiled debutante, Lady Tabetha and her brother's best friend Stone who was her protector. Her derisive comments never letting him forget she did not want him around and she was not going to settle till she married a duke and became a duchess. Stone the second son of an influential Earl worked with his father and brother on their businesses increasing their standing, influence and coffers. Although Stone always stayed humble about what he had, he was always quick to lend a hand. He was title-less and was merely a mister. When Tabetha was not looking Stone gazed upon her with fondness. He actually liked her feistiness. When she eloped with Duke Culpepper, a very unwise choice, Stone gave chase. After she was rescued, problems with the Duke began. He was determined to marry Tabetha for her dowry and would not give up. While in hiding, one day Tabetha fell down some stairs and woke up with amnesia. She was fed the story Stone made up to keep her safe that they were married and had a different name. (In truth they were really married but you just have to read this book to find out how that happened!! LOL) Tabetha felt calm and peaceful around Stone and really believed he was her husband. She became the woman she hid under a facade of superiority and derision. She was kind, thoughtful, caring and loving. Stone nearly lost his mind trying to stay away from her. Stone was in real trouble. He realized he had deeper feelings for Tabetha than he realized. Tabetha was remembering bits and pieces of her life a little at a time. Stone feared when she had full recall, he would lose her. A very sweet story and romance.

The third installment in this series of "pseudo-historical romansex" books following a group of friends, the "cocky gents". And, in this case, the third time is indeed a charm: my persistence has been rewarded and, despite the historical inaccuracies and the overabundance of explicit sex scenes, the underlying love story, although far from perfect, is entertaining and sweet.
She's a spoilt debutante whose aim is to marry a titled man, a duke if possible. She's also the little sister of the earl who got married in the first book and who is now on his honeymoon. Since he can't keep an eye on his sister during her first season, he trusts one of his friends with this task. The friend is the only one of the "cocky gents" without a title and, hence, completely out of her radar. She's much younger, immature and shallow so she will certainly pose no temptation for him. Needless to say, nothing is what it seems. She gets into trouble, he goes to her rescue, and they inevitably fall in love. As I said, the plot is far from perfect, the reason for her obsession with titles is a bit farfetched and, in general, the whole story needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, but it's still sweet. Enough to give me hope and continue with the series.

Tabetha is determined to honor a promise made to her father before his death and marry a Duke. So much so that she actively looks down her very patrician nose at Stone Spencer, friend of her brother and the man tasked with protecting her in her brother's absence, because he is a simple Mister. Stone, honoring a lost bet, has agreed to be Tabetha's escort and keep her safe during her husband hunt, but putting up with Tabetha could make a man drink. When against all advice she eloped to Gretna Green with a scoundrel, Stone is hot on the trail. But after a change of heart,, Tabetha decides that her Duke is a dud...and mean to his cat, so she and Archie decamp back to London. But the Duke is more determined than she realized. So if the only way to keep her safe is to marry? Well, that's what annulments are for. But attraction simmers underneath the barbs that they throw at each other. And with a little whiskey, a shopping trip, and a naked cat thrown in, it soon boils over!

Perfectly perfect! This story is full of humor, snark, and a ton of smoldering smexiness!

I have loved reading all the books in this Regency Cocky Gents series but I think this might be the best. It was a roller-coaster of ups and downs that keeps you hanging on to your seat the whole way through.
Just when you think Stone and Tabetha are going to find their Happily Ever After something else comes along to mess things up. I was fooled into thinking things would work out for these two early in the book but I knew that nobody gets their HEA when the book is only about 25% done.
As if the complicated situation between these two isn't enough for the reader to enjoy, the star of the book is a hairless cat names Archimedes (aka Archie) who manages to escape with Tabetha and is forced to wear a dress to cover her nakedness.
Stone and Tabetha are a perfect enemies to lovers story.

Sometimes amnesia will give one the gift of listening with their heart.

Since the synopsis has already stated the fact about amnesia, I won't spoil anything by telling you what a perfect scenario this author has come up with. What better way for someone to listen to their heart than to remove their memory. And in doing so you'll remove what others would call 'proper' and replace it with something 'pure'.

I liked Tabetha in the beginning but agreed with Stone that she had her nose in the air on some things. And then she grew on me more and more as the story unfolded. It was like taking away the mask at a ball and revealing the true person. And Stone.....perfect Hero!! Seriously one of my favorites!

Loved this story so much. You will too! I was gifted with an ARC and moments after reading 'The End' wanted to post my review so others knew what a great read this is!!

Woe unto thee my dear Stone for you shall have to be the protector of fair Lady Tabetha, come hell or high water. Stone has a quandary, can he hold back his feelings enough to just protect Tabetha, or will his feelings get him into a heap of trouble? Well, we all know how that goes. Fake marriages are not an uncommon theme but add in amnesia, a hairless cat and too much whisky, now we are talking, party time! What can go wrong you might ask yourself. Well, first is the duke who is a pest, feelings that come out under amnesia and the “aha” moment. This road trip adventure is just what is needed to make you feel good, laugh and show that money (title) is not everything. Love is everything.

What is there to say about Stone Spencer? Is he Cocky? Handsome? Strong? Diligent? Sexy? Yes, yes, yes, and yes! Stone Spencer is all of this and more and that drives Lady Tabitha Wellstone crazy. But it also pulls her closer to Stone. Tabitha was raised to believe she should marry a duke and become a duchess. When the Duke of Culpepper asks to elope with Tabitha she agrees. Just as they reach Gretna Green Tabitha gets cold feet and walks away. In sweeps Stone with his fists, whiskey, and kisses, and all heck breaks loose. It involves a marriage license, a fall down the stairs, amnesia and a hairless cat. This is one book you will definitely stay up late for. You've got to love those cocky men!

I enjoyed this historical romance with Lady Tabetha Wellstone and Mister Stone Spencer. And also the rest of the characters.

Lady Tabetha Wellstone has dream of land a duke for a husband. So she decides to fill her dreams once and for all but things don't go as planned. Because my brother's friend is always around.

Mister Stone Spencer has been ask by a friend to look after a his youngest sister for the rest of the spring season. This is very hard to protect her because she is determined to escape from his watchful eye.

This was a fun story to read. It had a quite a bit funny things that had me laughing. And there are surprises too.
I have been enjoying this series.

I received a complimentary copy from the author. This is my honest unbiased opinion.
