Yvonne Landis wakes up in a hospital bed and learns she has become a widow. She and her husband were out on date night when the fatal car accident happened. The airbag that saved her life malfunctioned on his side of the car. Then, as she crawled to safety, the car blew up.
As if it’s not enough to lose her beloved husband, Yvonne soon has reason to suspect that her son Joseph staged the accident, as well as deactivated the airbag earlier in the day. Joseph, once a model child, has recently displayed significant antisocial tendencies by joining a domestic terrorist cell. He may be back home now, but he’s still mad with his parents for ignoring him for years. Just how mad is he?
NOTE: THE MODEL CHILD was formerly known as CHANGER CHILD.
Better that it was only from one view til the last part. Was confused that none of the things happening or told that happened til the very last part so I couldn't figure anything out on my own. Which confused me so much. Next book in new series is free Cuckoo Uncaged. So thats good
The third book in the Child trilogy was just as good as the previous two but by the end of the book we learn the story continues which is very misleading.
Now that I’ve read all 3 books in this trilogy, I consider this series a worthwhile read. “Changer Child” was a 5-star read, even though I didn’t like the ending. I detest when an evil character gets away with his/her actions, & ends up free after committing a heinous crime. That’s what happens in book 3, but it was altogether a worthwhile read. There were a number of surprises that really startled me & made this novel so exciting. I had a feeling one of the characters developed through the 3 novels was a freaking psycho, & book 3 illustrates who this person is. Actually, there was more than one psycho in this trilogy which also made this series an exciting & worthwhile read. Once again, there were a number of typos & grammatical errors but nothing too distracting. Some of the minor characters names were changed from book to book, & that was annoying. A good edit would have sussed out these inconsistencies. But, nevertheless, this series was very enjoyable. I’ve read a number of novels by Julia Derek & have liked all of them. There’s always a twist, a shocker & lots of excitement in Ms. Derek’s novels.
