The List: From Slavery to George Floyd (Colorized): For Those Who Need a Brief Understanding of History, Systemic, and Structural Racism in America

by Marquis D.B.

401 years summed up in 60 historical facts connecting the very first slaves (1619) to the death of George Floyd (2020).
Contrary to popular belief, history does not exist in a vacuum and racism and discrimination does not need to be overt with white hoods and water hoses to be real. Systemic and structural racism is still very much a thing ... and everything is connected.

Looking back, this was definitely a rough first draft lol but one that was quite an unexpected and rewarding experience. Learned so much from the time of writing this and even after which led to the official successor in 2022 (The Black List 1526-2022).

Immensely appreciative and thankful for all the readers and commentaries, especially for this particular subject matter.
