Princess Iris has been held captive in her mother's castle for years, but a sinister plot has changed all that. She will be forced into marriage with the cruel prince of the neighboring kingdom. Her future will hold nothing but pain and solitude. Unless, something unexpected happens. Something like being kidnapped by an oddly alluring gargoyle.
Belarin kissed her like he needed it to live. He was so much larger than her, his mouth dwarfing her own, but his sharp teeth only teasingly grazed her plush lips as his tongue sought the sweetness of her mouth. Iris closed her eyes and gave into the pleasure of his muscular body over hers.
I love reading this authors work. This was such a heart feels read. It was extremely well written, and the story just flowed with ease. But what I enjoy the most, other than finding love would be that so many people are so worried about the outward appearance, and completely forget about what’s in the heart. The value of the pretty face and figure outweighs a totally crappy, sick, twisted and a horribly mean personality. So who’s the real monster?
This was another story I wish had been longer, but it also managed to work as a short. The characters were well developed for a short and while there was an immediate connection, they didn’t act on it. The plot moved along well and kept me interested with a twist at the end.
This is the first book by the author that has more than twenty pages and for a damn good reason 👏🏽. Belarin and Iris story needed more words to describe how the end up loving and protecting each other 😭.
“I am a monster,” Belarin insisted.
“That may be what you call yourself,” Iris said slowly, taking a step toward him. “But I would call you mine.”
Every single moment had me smiling. It doesn’t matter how much you offer Belarin the chance to go back to his human form… he will be there to protect Iris ❤️.
There's no value in loving someone just because of their face but for what they really feel.
I really enjoyed reading this story about Belarin and Iris. The 2 are so shy and sweet but genuine and deserving of love. I’m glad they found one another. This was a very pleasurable book. I would definitely recommend this book.
This series has been fun to read, the stories had good plots and buildup before some hot and spicy scenes with their monsters. Very much enjoyed reading these.
A wonderful story! This one has a fantastic and tragic story. Iris is doomed to marry an evil man. She escapes that fate and is captured/rescued by a big and scary brute. Her monster changes her world, sexy times ensue...eventually!
