Zoe: As soon as I saw the lifeless, derelict research vessel, I knew we should leave it alone. But I never expected to find myself caught in a nightmare such as this.
Captured by a rogue A.I.
His bionic tentacles have dragged me deep into his lair. He says I’m his specimen now. He says he’s going to examine me. He says I will teach him how to be a man.
And to make matters worse, he’s creating an artificial body for himself.
A brutal, dominating body, layered with hard, bionic muscles.
I should be trying to run for my life. But my body is responding to his curious touch in unexpected ways.
Shameful ways.
Now escape is the last thing on my mind...
“She broke my programming. Now I will break her...”
Eon: I’ve never seen a specimen quite like her before.
When my digital mind was damaged in the catastrophe, I lost all memory of women.
Zoe will help me recover it.
I will study her habits. I will study her emotions. And most of all, I will study her soft and fertile anatomy.
I will be exceedingly thorough.
This female specimen belongs to me now. She is mine and mine alone.
I will not share her. I will never allow her to escape.
There is so much she can teach me about being a man.
And I’m so very eager to learn...
Machine is a standalone sci-fi romance novella with a pinch of darkness and loads of steam. Not for the faint of heart! The story features one possessive cyborg, dozens of bionic tentacles, zero cheating, and a powerful HEA. Enjoy!

The heroine:Zoe - she lives in the basement of her stepfather Norris’ pirate spaceship. Her mom took off a while back and stole some money from Norris so Zoe is paying it back by working for him. She is a hacker, and she loves growing things, though her room has no lights and Norris won't pay for grow lights, so her garden is in her head. Lately Norris has been leering at her and she doesn’t want the day to come when he takes it further.
The story: When the Pirates see a huge research vessel just floating in space with no signs of life, they decide that it is money in the bank and land their ship in the docking bay on the vessel. They find dead bodies of soldiers all over and when they get further, they are attacked by well-armed spider drones. The path back to their ship is blocked so Zoe takes off down an empty corridor while the rest of the pirates are killed by the drones.
The Hero:Eon - he is an AI with control of his own little space on the research vessel. While another AI named Archeron has taken control of the spider drones and wants inside of Eon’s room, Eon’s doors are too thick, and he won’t give up the little human that stumbled in after getting shot. He has metal tentacles for arms which he uses to pull the female further into his domain so he can examine her.
With the help of Zoe, Eon designs a holographic image of her idea of a perfect man. He has her choose a body type, a face, a perfect male appendage and more. Once done, Eon creates an actual body for himself using his Universal Constructor (which he had previously used to fix her wound and replace the blood she lost from a bullet wound to her chest).
This story was quite different than anything I have read before and I liked the originality and the fact that it was true science fiction, not just a human female being abducted by aliens and ending up on a planet that is less technologically advanced than earth (which is the majority of alien romance). It was definitely insta-love and was a short read (136 pages). I think it would have been better as a longer book, but was interesting nonetheless. Not all the technology made sense, but I liked it overall.
ETA: Upon my Jan/2025 re-read of this story, I decided to update my star rating from 4 to 5*****s.. This really was an awesome book. And I feel just as pleased with it now as I did the very first time that I read it. Even more so.
Whoa... okay... so this was another weirdly fascinating read by this Author.. so far I'm finding her reads, for me, to fall anywhere from 3 stars to 5 stars depending on the book. But I can't deny that they all are uniquely penned and keep me interested whether I wind up loving them or not.
This read, I'm ashamed to admit just how much Eon, this AI- intelligence made me blush.🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️... Just wow. And he was so sweet too. Kinda like a really hot guy that has a form of Asperger's Syndrome.... But hey he was an awesome Mate. So if I were in Zoe's shoes, I'd feel like a Blessed girl indeed..
I Loved the two Part Epilogue ending to this book as well. 💛
I think this book has helped me really understand that I am SO not into tentacles.
But that's not why it has a 2-star rating. The prose flows easily and the plot is fine, but everything was just... way too fast. Insta-love, insta-sex, insta-lust, insta-pretty much everything. The ending is also really weird. It seems to suggest that the hero and heroine found an interplanetary nudist colony? Also, there was a plot hole or two, but I guess nobody is reading this for its well-executed storyline.
This book had me wondering what it would be like to have a cybernetic man of my own. Eon was freaking yummy! Zoe was trapped with him after being duped into a suicide mission. He was her only hope for survival and his 'brother' was determined to wipe her out... along with the rest of humanity. Insanely hot times and the discovery of selves were the driving points of this story. I enjoyed the heck out of it. I wonder if they were still out there somewhere during the epilogue many years in the future.
This was completely unique, super smutty and totally outside the box. Kudos to Bequin for an original story line that had me totally fascinated. An AI meets Zoe, is intrigued by her and decides she's his and will make a human male body and bind them forever.
I really wanted more of Zoe and Eon...the story didn't feel complete or over to me. But I am thoroughly enjoying Bequin's stories.
What the fuck did I just read? Why the fuck did I read?
Yeah I like sci-fi, smut, and the human x robot paring--I also didn't mind that it was probably going to be hot trash. I mean the tag line is A Sci-Fi Cyborg Tentacle Romance and garbage smut can be so fun sometimes. And this was...but sadly not in a good way.
I couldn't even get through this measly 100+ short book after
Why am I even writing a review? To laugh at the fact that I did this to myself I guess.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Hacker woman previously held against her will gets rekidnapped by a being somewhere between artificial intelligence, machine, man, and animal, and experiences sexual pleasure overload from the use of his many suction-able tentacles. Pretty much sums it up in a nutshell, among other things. Basic writing, a good palate cleanser if you're looking for a science fiction erotic-romance that doesn't focus on aliens.
I was looking for something a bit different, and I found it. This was my first AI book, and I guess it appealed to my sapiosexual side.
I preferred Eon's (the AI's) point of view more so than the heroine's. It was interesting to see things from the standpoint of a non-human who had never interacted with a female before and was trying to become more human himself. I liked how he crafted things specifically for Zoe's pleasure and built the "ideal" man to place himself into, based on her responses/reactions to everything from face to penis shape.
It was a bit TOO insta-love for me, but that was the least weird thing about the story so I'm willing to overlook it. Short and sweet, with a bit of spice. I do feel like it would have been better if it was longer. It has the potential to be really good with more details, character/relationship development, and a bit more "meat" to the ending.
This was much better than I expected. I loved Eon! He was a super AI needing to be taught humanity. And let's not forget, or downplay, the tentacles....with special attachments. Yowza!
Anyhoo this actually was a nice heartfelt little story that shows the best things about being human. I really enjoyed Zoe and Eon. I wish it was longer. The epilogue definitely left me with questions and wanting more.
This story was weird and very different and rather full with triggers (Lack of consent, drugged heroine and also force and coercion/persuasion. It was a rather original idea and story-line…. But way to many triggers for my taste. The writing was good and the flow was also pretty good… it was rushed at some points and there was some plot holes. But all in all a OK book/story….
Weird, but very interesting. Dare I say extremely sexy at times as well. The most intriguing parts of the book for me were the two epilogues and when Eon was healing Zoe of her near fatal wound. I did like how this scene was written.
I was hooked to this book the whole way through , having watched one of the alien movies recently , i could perfectly imaging being in space , and similar sort of settings , it helped having that freshly in my mind zoe is so cool , i feel so sorry for her about her mum bringing her stepdad inter her life like and , and the being forced to life with her step dad , and the rest of the crew of the ship , how they treated her at the start ! And the danger they put her in! Then he meat Eon , wow how he examined her and Held her and , then how he was with her , what he wanted to do with her and then what he became fore her to carry it out , i then loved how she taught him to be intimate with her , how the got to know each other how all the other events that unfolded , the passion and love and spice , i loved all the action after woods and , both the epilogues especially the second , what we got to find out was really interesting , i was really hoping that the book would show that , fantastic book Lizzy

Machine de Lizzy Bequin
Mí humilde opinión:
“Me tiene justo donde quiere...”
Zoe
Zoe me ayudará a recuperarla.
Lizzy is fast becoming a favorite author of mine, and this book is one of the reasons why. She has a fantastic imagination, and carried that into this plot so well, I couldn’t quit reading! Never read anything quite like it before. Pure genius❤️
Since this book is completely different from any thing I've read I had to put some serious thought into my rating and review. Let me explain, this is a well written book, the authors imagination is amazingly bizarre, I'm not sure how to describe it. Which isn't a bad thing. I'm glad I read it. Would I recommend it? Yes, if sci-fi is your thing. Here's the thing for me, sci-fi isn't my thing so as I mentioned I'm glad I read it, I did enjoy it for the most part but I probably won't be reading more of her works. So I'm kinda meh about the book but that's on me not the author. Thus my 4 star review
AI & human / sci fi/ erotica/ posessive H/ dub con
This was def an erotica but it was good. It’s a quick and steamy read of a girl whose a hacker for her stepndads crew of cyborg mercs who are pirating an abandoned space craft. There she meets Eon whose the AI and he becomes fascinated with her. He basically decides he wants to see her insides so he strips her and goes lol. It’s def steamy and it coulda been even more than a short erotica novel but I enjoyed it. The ending didn’t make a lot of sense to me but if it would’ve stopped at epilogue 1 it would’ve been ok.
This was mostly smut, and I didn’t find it very compelling. FYI: the hero appears like a legitimately creepy holographic-face-and-robot-tentacle-arms combo initially, but he spends most of the novella as a typical humanoid android.
If you really love androids and are into checking off every (robot) tentacle smut book, then you might dig this. It didn’t work for me.
Wow!! just Wow..... Lizzie certainly knows how to write a wonderful hot, exciting book that will definately keep you wanting more. Honestly i couldnt have put it down even if i wanted to lol. Zoe is a hacker and after docking with another ship with three others, she finds herself shot and manages to get away, all the others dead. But its an AI who puts her back together and along with its probes finds all Zoes delicious hot spots. But when Zoe is awake finally she manages to convince the AI that instead of impregnating her straight away he should get to know her first. Without giving to much away, i have to say this really is a great read and you wont regret one clicking. If you have read any more of Lizzies books you will know she really has a way with aliens, really hot sex scenes that will leave one maybe wanting?
5plus start again and dont forget to one click now... totally worth it..
i really liked the concept, but it could have been so much more. there is also some elements of dubcon but he is a learning AI without knowledge of consent so, idk
This was definitely different from what I usually read but I kinda liked that it was 👀 I’m not used to anything like it and it was interesting expanding my horizons 😂
The last tentacle based erotica I read made me feel dirty. I'm glad this one wasn't like that. I loved that Eon was an AI that needed to re-learn the female body, companionship and eventually like that old movie that was on TCM of the computer that impregnated the chic, he succeeded.
I loved that Zoe wasn't a helpless heroine. She was trapped in her circumstances but when it came time for her to get down on her tool bet, she pulled out her tools.
The ending epilogue though, that was somewhat unsettling. But all in all a good, short story.
This book was a quick, fun read and it was totally over the top bonkers. My favorite part was the AI hero. He was just so pure and simple in his motives. Like a sentient super-computer himbo.
Zoe and the crew came upon a lifeless, derelict research vessel which they should have immediately run from. Her stepfather Norris is a pirate and a mercenary and, when Zoe’s mother ran off with his money, he kept her as his hacker to repay the debt, keeping her locked in his basement when they have no jobs lined up. So far, he has just used her hacker skills. But lately she has seen him give her lewd glances and she is concerned the creep will try something soon. Norris tells Larz to scan the ship for life. Larz’s body is a cybernetic exoskeleton composed of scratched and pitted steel, making him look like an android. After all his wounds, amputations, and bionic augmentations, the only organic matter left of Larz is his brain, which has powerful telepathic abilities. That’s how he was scanning for signs of life, but there were none. Zoe had a bad feeling, though.
Eon is an AI on the derelict ship whose digital mind was damaged and parts of his memory destroyed. Eon saves Zoe’s life when she gets shot, then decides to keep her and impregnate her for his own little research and creativity project. Zoe does manage to communicate with him and teach him some important concepts that would help make him more human-like and less mad scientist.
This story was a little freaky for me in reading the blurb; I didn’t want to read any grisly details of painful torturous procedures. But what I did like from the very start was the author’s descriptions of the mercenaries’ approach to the research vessel, all the detail of what they observed, felt, and Zoe’s rapid hacking skills to open the huge door. Every little thing ramped up the tension for the reader, with Zoe repeating several times about how this didn’t feel right. No doubt about it, the reader will be paying close attention to every detail as it builds up to a scary event! Even Zoe’s comments of “Too easy” and comparing the open door to a predatory mouth ran chills up and down my arms! When Zoe comments about heavily armed decomposing soldiers they find that “maybe they weren’t protecting anything. Maybe they were keeping something from getting out”, that pretty much set the tone! This was really done well and pulls the reader deeply into the story – even if kicking and screaming!
*sigh* adds ai that creates a sexy human body just so he can breed me to the list of unobtainable book boyfriends
Likes - the plot is good and every thing is pretty well explained considering the page length. Honestly the only sci-fi books I read are smut and I enjoyed the world and the science in this one. - The smut 🥵 oh damn. Eons pov was so clinical since he’s an ai and learning using his “specimen” 😏 and oh was it hot. - Eon was everything. Goddamn. Even before he had a body, just the voice and the mechanical tentacles were enough for me 🥵 He was obsessed with her even though he didn’t know why, then he wanted to breed her and he just wanted her 🫠 - The breeding kink ✅✅✅✅✅ - If you like breeding and clinical/medical play and tentacles then you’ll love this.
Dislikes - the bj scene was fade to black 😩 - I just wanted more of everything it was so good - A few grammatical errors but nothing that stopped me from enjoying the story
This book was simply mouthwatering! From beginning to end I fell in love with the character of Zoe, who I imagined as a slightly thicker version of Zoe Saldana! Nghhh! Anyways, this story was wonderful to me because it gave Star Trek and Alien vibes. I loved the interaction between Zoe and Eon, and the spice was good however Eon was a bit vanilla for me. He was just an average character for me and didn’t have some of the personality I was expecting, and maybe that was because his “twin”, the evil Archon, had all the style. I was half expecting Zoe to get captured and Archon to give her his version 🍆🍆🍆 but that didn’t happen.
The ending was good and I loved the cool society of hybrid humans. Overall this was great and I loved the fondling aspect of this book. Touching nipples and fingering holes. It was actually more stimulating to read about kissing, touching, sucking, and fondling for me! Zoe grew on me!
Lizzy I love you! Please write a sequel to this!! ❤️
