Everything has a beginning a middle and an end? This series of books of which this is the last is a fitting ending to the series. I don't want to give away spoilers but I will say Rod Carstens has created characters you see grow and develop through the books. Characters the reader is invested in and cares about. He writes incredible action sequences both on the ground and in space. This is sadly the final book.😭. Thank you Rod👍
The series is well worth reading, but I dropped my rating from five stars to four because of some factual errors. When one of your MAJOR admirals complains because the battle is gonna happen 4 AU inside the alien empire, oh my! Until you realize 4 AU is less than 400 million miles, A AU is about 93 million miles, A very small distance in stellar geography. But a fun read.
There should have been a Book #6. Outstanding Series Completely Crappy Ending
Spoiler Alert
At the end of this book we go from an outstanding series to the end which consists of Hey they Jumped in and Nuked Both their plants it’s over! WTF!!! 5 great books leading to and we killed them the end. There was at least a 6th book there. That’s why the 4 stars

Like many war stories, this was really an anti war series. The inevitability of the conflict does not make the result painful for the characters or the readers. Rod Carstens did a good job of buildings his characters over five books so that a reader comes to care and believe in them. I enjoyed the series and would recommend it to others.
I’ve read all of the books in this and I have to each was an adventure. I met a lot of great characters and saw many of my favorites fall in the biggest war to face humanity. Reading this series was well worth my investment in time and money. I strongly recommend these books to everyone.
I have read the other books in this series several times and enjoyed them all over again. When I saw this book has come out i was more than ready for it. This book fits well with others and is just as readable.
Brilliant final chapter of the blood wars series, could not stop reading i will look forward to the next project that comes out and I hope it will live up to the the blood way series, but it has a lot to live up to great books thank you
The overarching theme is the role of religion, politics, greed and our endless need to mistrust those who do not agree with our myopic view of me first. Peace on earth seems to be out of our reach.
Very well written. Wonderful character development and plot. Plenty of action and suspense. Good interpersonal character development. Great story pace. Highly recommend reading this series. Well done!
Found this series tb be very entertaining. I can tell the author is a Marine as he incorporated many marine things in his story telling which for me added well to the story
