In Return of Our Country, award-winning author David M. Burke presents a heart pounding, thrilling adventure sequel that picks up 4 years after the electrifying presidential victory of George Carnegie in Burke’s debut novel, Return of the Founding Father’s Guardians. Now, President George Carnegie’s re-election hopes are in peril when the economy is attacked, the stock market plummets, and the country is on the verge of an economic takeover. With debt spiraling to new heights and hopes for resurrecting the American dream in peril, the President learns the secrets behind the group of people who have orchestrated this economic attack, and takes drastic measures. He calls every Special Forces group around the world back to the United States to orchestrate a plan to save the country. With only weeks left until total collapse, the largest mission since D-day begins. If the mission is successful, the country could solve its massive financial problems and put the American people on a path of prosperity and abundance for the next century. Yet to succeed, Vice President Adam Youngeagle must put himself in a position more dangerous than any modern-day politician ever has. In this timely cliffhanger, Burke outlines a story that could change the definition of what’s possible for our country and our world.
David M. Burke, a husband, father, Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma, and inventor, came from humble beginnings and felt huge satisfaction building a family business, providing products to over 25% of the world automotive market. He felt assured of providing abundance and security for his own household.
When his fortunes dramatically reversed, he did not have millions, but was nearly destitute, forced to sell the custom designed, handicapped accessible house newly built for his daughter. Fighting to provide, he had to reinvent himself several times.
Along the way, Dave came to understand the plight of the middle class and the malevolent plans for its dissolution, and was inspired to write this first novel of the action packed, thrilling series, Return of the Founding Fathers.
I had my doubts that this book would live up to book #1 “Return of the Founding Fathers Guardians”, but it was outstanding. I finished this book in one sitting. The characters are engaging, the action was fast paced. By the end of this book, it had me wishing that our Country would follow along the lines of this book. It gave me hope, that someday, it could happen. I would give this book a million stars if I could.
Creative and astounding story with several realistic heroes. The stakes don't get any higher than this plot. The story is slightly complex with lots of characters. You will find more than one character to relate to. The first few chapters, I wasn't sure where it was heading. Some good action and a bit heavy on short bursts of background to create the environment. The more I read, the more the action built until the entire second half of the book was one big intertwining crescendo to save the country. References added stunning reality to the story-line. It would be the best movie of the year.
Every bit of this book was fantastic. There's a great combination of action, a hidden romance between two people and a fight to save the country. With support from a covert operative, the president learns how to take down the deep state and the forces behind them. I don't know where this author got his information. I thought I knew a lot about the deep state, the Federal Reserve and what's behind it, but this book took that to another level. I also wonder how it got out so fast. The book depicts what's going on today. It makes me wonder if some of this is going on behind the scenes. The book depicts a few patriots launching a massive plan to save the country from the most sinister forces in the world. The end is the most inspiring thing I've heard or read all year. I'm going to reread it.
Enticing As one of those deep secrets-revealing intriguing page-turners that hide under the guise of ‘Fiction’, the prologue to this novel had me running to Wikipedia for a look at the Feds and perchance get a hint on cabals who stand to benefit from America’s dependency on the Federal Reserve System but even found something crazier: It has faced various criticisms … which include lack of transparency, doubt of efficacy due to what is seen by some as poor historical performance[181][182] … and has been the subject of many popular conspiracy theories, that typically link the Fed to numerous other supposed conspiracies, such as funding the political movements of Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, and the capacity to trigger recessions for easy access to cheap assets.[183] Return of Our Country by David M. Burke is to Politics what The DaVinci Code is to Religion.
"Return of Our Country" was a refreshing book to read during these times we live in. Through fiction he calls out the root of many problems. I have heard the foundation on which he bases his novel before. Namely that we are being manipulated by a group of people with deep pockets and sinister influence. Mr. Burke is very bold in calling them out. He slightly changes their last names, so the reader can figure it out. I give him extra points for saying what few would. He also has written a very good thriller. The action was very engaging.
The most dynamic, encompassing and exciting political thriller I've ever read. Actually, it's one of the most realistic and timely thrillers I've ever read also. I felt I knew the characters and they appeared to be real people. Nobody did something 'impossible'. The embedded romance and professional partnerships tied the story together tightly. The information in the book was astounding and I'm not easily impressed. In the end, I have never felt as inspired about what could be possible.
Exceptional book. I've never read such a good account of how the country could be turned around in a positive way. It's a roadmap for saving the country. I'm feeling fantastic about the possibilities that some of this is happening. This is a great story. The author keeps it moving. The plot is a little complex, but he does a nice job letting you visualize what's happening. The ending is inspiring.
A solid political thriller novel. I have not read the first novel in the series; I started with book two, but found I had no issues following character threads. Due the current political climate and election year, I did not fully enjoy the content, but I do feel it is a good story full of historical facts and with lots of possibilities for the office of POTUS and written in the spirit of change is needed.
I truly enjoyed the first book and was not disappointed with the sequel. Great characters, rich in historical detail and nonstop action. Fantastic read.
