A mature woman finds herself thrust into a new crazy fantasy world and she has a big role to play. I voluntarily received this book for an honest review.

This story starts with a meek librarian who has so quirky, obsessive behaviors and a few seemingly unwarranted fears. She also sees things... not things but beings. Beyond seeking medical attention, she knows when to watch, most of the time. They like to chase her when she goes for her morning jog and show up in the most inconvenient places - like when she's eating lunch with her best friend. When she begins having dreams that feel like premonitions, these specter sightings seem to ramp up. It is then that she discovers she is a seer and that there is much more going on behind the scenes, and in front of her, than she would have guessed. What will Viv, Viv was the Queen of Chaos’ most powerful seer and favorite daughter reborn, do when she discovers there are those who want her, some for her knowledge and others to see her dead?

This is a new-to-me author, and I found the story absolutely spellbinding. The characters are colorful and cover areas of mythology I'd never known about before. I love the adventure feel of the story and the way the heroine's eyes open a little wider as she experiences each situation. The secondary characters are not really secondary because they are so involved in her life and her future (along with her past, it would seem) that they are part of the mesh of the storyline. We're left on a cliffhanger at the cusp of circumstances that point to something exciting yet to come, and I'm looking forward to finding out exactly what it is.
