This story centers around the friendship/sisterhood formed between Sarai, Jordyn, Sonia, and Elise.
I really enjoyed this story. The storyline was strong and the characters were developed.
The author did a great job of adding layers to the characters so that they were not one-dimensional and uninteresting. She placed them in real-world situations and that made me as a reader invested in their outcome. Even the betrayal within the group was relatable. Granted my own "Smiley" might have come out in the situation, it was a genuine plot point. The story flowed well for the most part and was properly structured. There were a few minor grammatical errors, but nothing to distract from this entertaining, humorous, and intense romance.

Love is...
Beautiful. I couldn’t put the book down because I loved reading the different stories between these sister-friends. You definitely put me through the maze with this one! I don’t want to spoil anything but I loved all the main characters.
I hate taking stars away, especially when I enjoy a book, however, there were a lot of typos and grammatical errors. Also, it took me awhile to start because of the formatting of the book. It threw my brain off but once I got past it, I truly enjoyed this story.
Low key, I wanted to see Smiley go full throttle but I’m glad she got her happy ending. Her and Jordyn truly deserved love. And those twists, one minute I thought one thing and you sent me in another direction. Loved it!! Can’t wait to see what you put out next!

For this one you've got pay attention and keep up! There are lots of twists and turns and at the heart of it is a story about sister-friends who support each other through thick and thin.

Girl!!! let me just say, great storyline! First, I was happy because I JUST knew her SISTER wouldn't do her like that. Then I was like hell NAWW!! All of the characters are funny as hell relatable and the men... Whew! The men are the real-life definition of book baes. You took me on an emotional rollercoaster but yet satisfied my every wish for each character. Can't wait to read more from you, love is patient was a great read!

Patience is a virtue
Love is patient. Boy did the characters have to live up to the title. It was a lot of people and a lot of parts having the story of four friends and having each of their stories told and intertwining. At times I was frustrated and aggravated right along with the characters. They all had issues and pasts, some more unsavory than others. I liked Smiley,we all have an alternative ego or other side. More than that I like how the book showed that blood isn't the only thing that makes a family. I also loved the support and care that went to the children in the book, there was a village at work. All-in-all, I enjoyed the book, although at times it did seem like a whole lot was going on almost too much. And to err is human, but some of the typos did make me have to reread a line or more and did take away a bit from the experience. Not so much that I'll bash the efforts of the author though.

Be Patient! That was the lesson in this book between all of the couples they needed to learn that you can’t hurry love especially when it’s real. I really enjoyed this cast of characters especially Liam he was book bae for real. Can’t wait to hear more from Ro, Terror and Diesel in the future as well hint, hint. Loved it!

Bay-be Queen J. Chary did her thang with this one and I ain't gonna lie I want an update on all these couples, well I can do without Elise&Daryl trifling behinds🙄😒.
This book was chosen by one of the Queen's in my chat group, so we all knew Elise secret man was Daryl. But to know that it had been going on throughout his and Rai entire 10 year relationship😳😤😡. I'm all for forgiveness but Bay-be some things just aren't forgivable and that type of betrayal, no ma'am, no ham, no Turkey I'm good. She watched her cry over this ninja, question herself after this ninja let her on their wedding day, etc knowing she was why he walked away. Usually I'm with the "check yo man cause that's who you were in a relationship with" but in this case no ma'am sis definitely deserved all types of beat downs, to come up missing, Etc. Because that trifling sugar honey iced tea that they pulled it was unforgivable sorry not sorry. We can't be cool no more after the s*** they pulled, PERIOD! As the saying goes with friends like her who needs enemies because that b**** right there Bay-be hell no we cannot share the same space, no you are not invited to the family cookout anymore honey sorry move around continue to move in secret like you been doing. Like I was hurt knowing that she did all that she knowing she was being secretive all those years. Like all those years! All those years! All those years of you fake being my friend, my so called "SISTER" because that's not a real friend and that for damn sure ain't the actions of a "SISTER" you are not a real friend/sister doing the sugar honey iced tea that you did. No you was not a real sister/friend honey🙄😒. Sister/friends don't do that and then to know that she shitted on her the way that she did after her family took her in, smdh😔. And I still say Daryl is a ain't s*** as ninja because of the simple fact that even with him so called quote on quote telling his truth he still lied because he kept calling Leslie Christina instead of calling her Leslie cuz he knew the moment he said Leslie Rai was going to pop a cap in his ass🤣.
Like it's the secrets for me, but knowing who he was when Rai introduced him to the family and then pretending like they didn't know each other, knowing their history🤡😡.
Derrick & Sonia were my favorite couple next to Charlie and Jordyn. Now the ladies in the group didn't think Rick was going to get it together. They did not believe that he was going to recommit his life for his wife and family, but I honestly have faith in him. I felt like after the conversation with their son DJ something in him snap like it gave him a real reality check knowing that he was so removed from his family that he didn't realize the hurt that he was not only causing his wife but his children especially his older son because he pretty much became the man of the house once brick checked out to chase behind all his many mistresses. Now Sonia, Bay-be, 16 MOTHERFUDGESICKLESTIX YEARS BIH, OF PUTTING UP WITH INFIDELITIES😳😒😔!!! I would have been given Rick back to the streets with that Community 🍆 he was carrying around like really, really ninja really. Like why get married🤔? You could've been single and she could've been single and free. But, Noo, your selfish ass married her just to spread that Community 🍆 around the world giving it to every b**** that open up her legs nah I'm good keep that s***. But that's just me🤷🏽. But again, I'm glad Rick got his s*** together and got his family back. Rick had me when he checked that mistress at that restaurant and told her he apologize for lying to her but he would never leave his wife😳🤣. I was like yaaasss Rick👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 okay you might be worth a little something😁. I'm proud of him for sticking with sleeping in the guest room until they finish counseling, to ensure that they were on the right path to fixing their marriage. Because like he stated, they usually have sex and sweep their issues under the rug and they never get resolved which we all read how that s*** turned out🙄. So again I'm proud of him for sticking to his guns and not giving in and giving Sonia what she wanted but given her what they both needed.
Liam&Rai both equally got on my nerves. Now don't get me wrong I love Liam I love him for Rye like he was a man's man. I love that he was considerate I love the heat always always always but her and her needs above everything that fool had too many daddy qualities for somebody that wasn't somebody Daddy. She was a little controlling for me again that's just me that's just my opinion but his whole need to like be in control and be in the know of everything my mother fudgesicles fix nerves. It's like he didn't allow her I got to say a loud he didn't give her a chance to think or feel before she let him in on whatever the situation was. Case in point when she found out that Elsie and Daryl were screwing her entire relationship with him. Sis deserves to have a moment's hail all the moments she need ed in order to get her mind right and wrap her man around the fact that she had been betrayed for more than a decade by someone who she considered not only a friend but a sister.
RO & Rissa were the surprise couple. Now I aint gonna lie I wouldn't feel in her after she came back and admitted that she had kept a whole dank baby baby a secret by 8 freaking years. Once I heard her story, she get a pass, she most definitely gets a pass like wow she really went through a lot. This came on saying and locked that non-committal, the I one night 'em I don't wife 'em🤣🤣🤣, straight locked him down. RO straight took sis out of town and married her with the quickness. I was really happy that despite all that she was going through, especially with having stage 3 breast cancer and having to get her left breast removed. Like I was really really happy that she was able to find have her happily ever after despite it all, that was dope asf🥰
Last but certainly not least, my favorite couple, Charlie & Jordyn🤎🖤. Now these 2 kept me laughing the whole freaking book, like them and their shenanigans were just hilarious. Now I was beyond pissed that Charlie omitted and pretty much lied about not having a girlfriend or whatever. He had every opportunity within those 2 plus months to be honest and explain his situationship to Jordyn and he decided not to. One thing I can say though, Charlie was so in love with Jordyn, like he didn't even know what to do with his self at times. Their love was so beautiful to watch even the crazy parts, it was just I just loved every minute I'll be. I really feel bad for Jordan knowing that despite everything her parents still didn't choose her. Like I know what it's like to have a mom to choose a man over her child her daughter at that and that is such a hurting feeling and heartbreaking, oh my God🥺. I was thankful that she did seek counseling so that she can start her healing process because she was really struggling with becoming a mom and feeling as if she would be good enough or inadequate in a sense. So I'm thankful that Charlie supported her through that and that they were able to move past that 1 little hiccup and welcome their beautiful baby Morgan into of the world and get married😁🥰.

There was a good amount of drama, love, and everything in between. These characters went through it but the truth of the matter is - love is patient ! Congrats J. Chary on your debut novel!

Liam is mine. Periodt. But, I’ll share with Sarai for now! Lol. They were definitely meant to be. Jordyn and Charlie were so cute together. I loved the cheesy, matching outfits. I’m a sucker for cute love things like that. I’m glad Nia and her husband worked it out, cause Lort I wanted to fight him. Just trifling. And Elise couldve gotten slapped. She was wrong and that’s just that. Overall, the story flowed well. It kept my attention. It definitely had the entertainment to keep you intrigued. Every character was unique and interesting in their own right. It was worth the read. Great job, J!

Love most definitely is....
Great stories. I loved all the aspects and views on love - page turner / had me guessing (I was wrong). I have kindle unlimited but this was not include so not too often I purchase a book from an author I don’t know BUT it was worth it. A LOT of characters and with the nicknames I wasn’t sure I kept everyone straight all the time. Very thorough, sometimes a bit too much. I read her other story and loved and went looking for anything else by this author - glad I found this!

Family is everything!
This was the first book that I have read by J. Chary and she did not disappoint. A great and thorough read. I love how you was able to bring not one but four detailed love stories together. I also loved how the sisters was connected not by DNA but through friendships that led them to be raised under one roof together. Sarai parents made sure that everyone attended college.
I just love the plot and how Liam ex-wife and Sarai ex-fiancee both found love as well. I enjoyed this novel from beginning to end. I will be looking forward for more novels, etc from you.

Patient is Love
Rai is good cause if it was me I wouldn’t of forgiving Daryl or Elise. Elise was all kinds of wrong, how can she do a family like that when they took her in and helped her with her schooling. Liam and Rai was made for each other glad that both got the closure and love needed for each other. Charlie was a fool but I was happy he got himself together for Jordyn. Derrick surprised me I really thought that Sonia was going to leave him. Good read.

Awesome!!
This book was one of love,friendship,family and definitely forgiveness..I was able to follow everyone even though it was a lot you did it so well..I love Sarai and Liam definitely meant to be.That Jordyn and Charlie was so funny..Nia and Derrick came a long way but he made me not want to kill him ..That lisey and Darryl ohhh made me mad but I figured he was her man in the very beginning..Smiley really grew cause she forgave them..Pops,Nana,Ms.Pearl ,Ro and Rissa,Terror all them were awesome..The kids I loved and I’m glad everyone got a happy ending and the family stuck together..Glad it wasn’t a dope story even though it was mentions it wasn’t the focus of the book!!! Love It!!! 10 ⭐️

Fantastic Book
I enjoyed reading this book so much! I couldn't put my kindle down! I enjoyed reading about the journeys off the four sisters Sarai, Sonia, Jordyn, and Elise! This book showed how each of these sisters dealt with what was going on in their lives. I'm so happy that each of these sisters found love! I enjoyed the storyline as well! Such a fantastic book!

I wanna know what love is
This book literally made me cry!!! It was so beautiful reading about all these characters and the different relationships. I highlighted quite a few things in the book to go back to when I’m not quite sure about love. I’m on the edge of my seat to read any and everything this author writes.

Interesting story
Overall I liked this book. Even though it's fiction and we're living in a fantasy world I thought it was very unrealistic to continue to having a relationship with Elise. She didn't need to wish her any harm but that level of betrayal would had all of them distancing themselves from her and for good reason.

Good story
This was a good story. Liam and Sarai were my favorite couple. I’m glad Sarai got over her ex and let Liam love her. Charlie and Jordyn were crazy and I loved their relationship. Sonia and Derrick, yuck, I cos g stand a cheater. Elise gets nothing, she was a terrible person.

Whew
I didn’t know what to expect but there were definitely a mix of emotions. A lot of stories are cut and dry, someone Betrays you, you cut them off. That’s not always the reality. I really enjoyed the comedy and the tightness of the family but it was the elements of forgiveness that really spoke to me. When love is in the equation it’s never just black and white

Enjoyable Read
I loved this story. I kinda figured out Darryl was Elise secret lover, but it through me off because of how you ran the storyline. But every story needs some mystery. Not only did you show love's patience is this story but you also portrayed love's forgiveness. Keep writing.

Love is Patient and explosive!!
J Chary is an amazing writer, Love is Patient is proof! I loved the relationships between the sisters and how much they rode for each other . The men…whew Lawd! j knows how to write a thugged out book bae with a heart. This a great read!!

This was the first book I’ve read from J. Chary and I loved it so much! I enjoyed seeing the growth of the characters from beginning to end. Everybody had their fair share of issues and the love stories were told in such a beautiful way. Highly recommended ❤️❤️

I could not put this book down! This group of friends took me thru all the emotions but I’m happy they all have happiness and love and are surrounded by supportive family.

Whew chile! This book was a roller coaster ride of emotions. I loved ever dip and turn of it! I enjoyed experiencing the different love stories. There were twists and turns that I was not expecting that really had me on my toes. I couldn't put my phone down while reading this one!
