Nine years ago Chris Abramovich left me with strangers and walked away without looking back. It was the culmination of the most passionate forbidden interlude of my life and the end of my naivety. He left a big impression, and I never wanted to see him again. Now, due to circumstances beyond my control, I'm back in the sinful billionaire's clutches. He's just as depraved and controlling as ever, but I have secrets to protect. He can have my body, but my soul is not for sale.
Emily has never really left my mind. I let myself feel too much when she was a 19-year-old college girl, but I've learned my lesson about women since then. Emily has no idea we're meeting again because it is MY plan, or what it is that I really want from her. But I'm a grown ass man, and she's as tempting as they come. The lust between us is undeniable, and I have every intention of keeping her close until I'm fully satisfied.
On the surface Emily is just a startup CEO and Chris is the billionaire investor willing to back her play. But underneath there is so much more your head will spin. Get ready for a crazy, explicit, and heartbreaking ride with these shameless lovers.
This book is a sequel to Ebony: An Arrangement Part I.
Chris and Emily meet again, nine years later, and this time the question is why? This book delves into secrets both characters are hiding as well as Chris' wicked plans for Emily. As these characters interact, you can expect some off-the-charts steamy payback, and while wildly attracted to each other, it is apparent negative forces are at play.
The character development in this book was much stronger than the novella, book 1, showing more depth of character. There was some but not a much side character development, personalities that would serve as contrast or comparison to the main characters. I enjoyed the pace of this story, pretty much a faster burn, just right in fact. A few proofreading errors, but nothing that detracted overly from the story.
I enjoyed the intrigue, the blemished and hot love affair between the two flawed characters as well as the story's dark themes not often found in BWWM books, e.g. dubious consent. I love that Chris shows mild flairs of jealously when other men look at Emily, but otherwise tries to contain himself and feign that she is his sex object. The best: Chris' over the top dominating nature. He has characteristics of an antihero, which I really like. Additionally, I like that the heroine is not an abject figure and is instead an accomplished business woman though Chris still sparks an inherent submissiveness in her. Interestingly, the author provides an accurate portrayal of diet and exercise habits that would have been necessary to maintain Chris' muscularity -- six packs don't happen magically.
The author prompts a fair amount of angst leaving you constantly wondering what will happen next to this couple that you were routing for. When revelations come to light on both sides, how will their romance play out? I, for one, am looking forward to what the next book has to offer. Overall, a very entertaining read.

I am anxiously awaiting the next installment in this series. This twisted love hate relationship between Emily and Chris had me losing sleep. These two characters have the reader on a roller coaster of emotions. I definitely recommend parts I & II.
This book is a sensationalize erotica, packed with detail love scenes with two very likable characters. It was decidedly worth the time to read and even better than the first.
Part two flows flawlessly well, definitely not mundane because of the main character's sexuality and compatibility. Ebony aka Emily grows up under hard circumstances and broke free of the stigma she face in college and took on the world with an iron fist. She elevated herself and started her own company. She’s a young CEO and has the determination and drive to turn her company into something profitable. But, In order for her to do this she needs capita and she must hurt her nose and accept help from Chris, who had left her years ago without even looking back.
Ebony must work doubly as hard because she is a woman, even if it entails getting down and dirty with the likes of a pigheaded billionaire who she once shares a past with a among other things.
Chris and Ebony reuniting is not tumultuous because there isn’t any love loss on her part. She believes if she gives Chris what he wants, he’ll help her achieve want she wants to accomplish. But Chris has an ulterior motive.
This book is a maraud, dark, passionate tale of torment and justification that will leave you shell shock because of the actions of both characters.
This book had some very noticeable grammatical errors and I hope the author polish this up for the next book.
Ms. Skeete writing is vivid, gripping, and well-timed. Her book is a captivating tale of how sex, lies, and greed can lead to someone's eventual broken heart. There are devastating twists, unrequited passion, and secrets that will your break your heart along the way.
I’m not a fan of cliffhangers however, I feel this author did a magnificent job with the follow up and is worthy of the praise I’m bestowing upon her. Her story has a different twist and feel to it. It’s original, mythological and nothing short of staggering
After I’ve completed reading this book, I’m left hot, bothered, and deeply aching for more. It’s definitely recommendable.
If you like composite, virtuously equivocal erotica with a rich storyline to match, check this one out.
Trope: Quid pro quo...sexual favors in exchange for financial investment. Secret baby.
Characters: 1. Christopher "Chris" Abramovich, the 39-year-old hero, is the multi billionaire CEO of Gentile, an international investment company and a BDSM enthusiast. 2. Emily "Ebony" Gordon, the 28-year-old heroine, is a founder and the CEO of Millennial Therapeutics. She has a BS degree in biomedical engineering, a MS degree in pharmaceuticals and has done work on a Ph. D. 3. Ivory is the 10-year-old sickly son of Emily and Chris. 4. Drew co-founded the company with Emily and his her CFO. 5. Craig is Chris' assistant. 6. Daniela is Chris' ex-wife.
This story picks up 9 years after Chris left Ebony/ Emily at his friends party; since then, Chris' mother passed which is why he left so abruptly, he married but has been divorced for a year and he's started and investigative file on Emily. Emily had their son; however, she never told Chris, she finished college, worked at an unnamed corporation for a few years before starting her own business with Drew, her business partner. The story opens with a business meeting arranged by Drew for Emily to meet with an executive from Chris' company which unbeknownst to Emily turns out to be Chris. By the end of the meeting, Chris and Emily have a sexual encounter and Chris' promise to finance her company in exchange for an exclusive sexual arrangement between the two of them. The storyline is interesting and moves along well. I don't like secret babies, arthurs are unable to give acceptable excuses for the selfish inconsiderate behavior of women who deny a child having a chance for a relationship with his father. Aside from her go along to get along behavior with Chris, this secreted child minimized Emily as a character. Chris is controlling and domineering with BDSM dominate urges and he fears having a women take advantage of him the way his mother took advantage of him; so, he hinds his softer loving side to protect himself. This installment ends with Emily telling Chris about Ivory and with Chris telling Emily that their bare sexual acts were not protected and that the woman he introduced as a doctor was just someone he hired to get information from. They may be pregnant again.
I’m soooooo upset. I really thought she was going to be a boss babe, but she was weak and selfish to me. I couldn’t finish it. The first book was out there but I was going to give the rest a chance. I can’t finish.
First, this series could’ve been one book. The dragged out story line is unnecessary. There didn’t need to be so many sex scenes. It’s redundant after awhile.
Second, I understand initially not tell Chris about the child because of how they broke up, but NOTHING bothers me more about hidden baby romances is their pride getting in the way of the relationship between father and child. I’m sooooo sick of people using their children as pawns and putting their wants and needs over their children’s. It’s not fair to the child. No matter how they treated you unless it’s abuse or something equally as serious, they deserve the chance to have a relationship with their child.
Third, giiiiiiirrrrrrllllll. She annoyed the crap out of me. EVERYONE, every single person, around her told her to be careful. She was in over her head, but she ignored them all. Now, admittedly I didn’t finish the book, but I can bet it came back to bite her in the butt and I have no sympathy. I hated her character. Chris was something else, but I still preferred him over her.
I am trying so hard to like this series, but they have got to clean up Chris' character. One minute he's a psycho "rapist". Yes rapist, let's call it like we read it. And then the next he's developing feelings for Emily. And what's up with Emily putting up with that kind of crappy treatmeant. To the point of even approving being treated rough like that. No way is that ok. For some reason though the book has something that I can't quite put my finger on that borders on love between the two, that keeps me reading. I just wish the author could tame it down with the brutal sex because it does not seem like consensual BDSM or even rough sex, and that does not, at least for me, make a good love story or even a good read.
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. This book is a continuation from book one and it is the same intensity as the first book. Now Chris wants her back nd Emily want give him her heart again or her soul, he has already hurt her the first time. The chemistry between them is intense, erotic, passion and you have a twist here and there, to end on a cliffhanger.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It was an interesting story. Chris meets up with Emily again, years after they first met. He is investing in her company but basically has demands on her. Their chemistry together is quite steamy but there a lot of secrets between them that need to be worked on. This story does end on a cliffhanger so am waiting to see if they reach their HEA next time.
I received a free advaNced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a fair and honest review.
I just finished reading both of these books. I really liked it, it wasn't just about the sex which was very explicit, but it actually had a story line. When I got to the end, I wondered when the next installment would be coming out. I am really waiting to find out if Ebony (Emily) is pregnant again, and how will Max (Chris) react when or if he gets to meet his son, Ivory. And what will happen to their business deal.
Whatever in the dark will comes to light, and be prepared for the consequences. Chris was all about revenge or was he? Big consequences will follow, and Emily kept a big secret... What happened when she finally comes clean!? I was so glad to see her growing some backbone at the end. With someone like Chris, she needed a back made of iron or he will swallow her whole. Nice series!! Recommended by Unique Words LLC
Secrets can destroy trust, the very foundation of any relationship. Chris is a manipulative selfish jerk who used Emily for her body. Now the truth comes back to but him and he can handle it just like every narcissist ever. Well Emily is not afraid and will fight him tooth and nail to hold on to her company and her life. Can wait to read the conclusion in Harmony. Both books had me riveted to the page. Excellent read
Honestly I didn't think this was written a woman. Trying to figure out how BF MC became a CEO with no backbone. She basically let everyone step on her without one care of her self All for dark romance but this was way twisted Honestly a little disturbing with the sex scene
Ok. Good book. Still not my cup of tea. The sex scenes are terrifically amazing but the situational development of the story really bothers my sensibilities. Don't get me wrong, it's a really good book, I just conflicted about the female lead. This book was recommended by UniqueWords, LLC.
I love this book how Emily (Ebony) kept a secret of having Chris (Max) son but then she needs financing for her company and Chris aka ( Max ) is the one who gives her the money. Chris (Max) has her go through hoops of getting the money Emily aka (Ebony) does this because she doesn't want him to find out about the son they have. I will not tell the whole story but I can not wait to finish book 3
Part 2 of Chris & Emily's saga is even better than the 1st book! The ✍grabs & tightly holds your attention from the 1st page , taking you on a drama filled, angsty, scorching🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥, intensely 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 , high heat tale of deception & romance! On to 📚3 where I'm hoping for a HEA😀💃🍷
Chris was truly a dick . he has no rights to be mad they both kept n secret and told lies but the way he treated Emily in both books was disgraceful. I am going to start reading Harmony I hope both of them more so Chris attone for his mistakes.
I don't think I have the right words to express how much I love this author! Wow just wow! Can't wait to read more! She will most definitely be reading more of her books!
I loved getting to see a different side of these characters. Emily and Chris are complex and flawed like real people. No one is perfect. I can't wait for part 3 Harmony.
This story is about Emily and Chris ten years after their first unusual meeting. I must say I was hooked from the beginning and to see how their relationship kept changing due to all the secrets that kept from each other. Chris was a serious Alpha and made no apologizes about his behavior. Emily was a hardworking woman who was drowning in her secrets but couldn’t help from falling in love with Chris. This story has it all. It’s unpredictable, it’s full of chemistry and crazy hot sex, but it also shows the love developing between 2 people with a complicated past. Even though I wasn’t expecting a cliffhanger, I will diligently wait for the conclusion because this story is worth it.
