Daughters of Neverland #2

Fierce as a Tiger Lily

Rate this book
To die is no adventure. . .

Tiger Lily knows that better than anyone. Death and the Tribes of Neverland have an intimate relationship, if only because their magic feeds the deity. Tiger has always walked in the darkness, and as a Daughter, she calls Death a friend.

But Neverland is in trouble and Tiger finds herself in the middle of darkness she knows and a new insanity she doesn't. With dangers forcing the Daughters together and the Croc at their doors, Tiger must come to terms with exactly who she is.

Neverland has always belonged to the nightmares and Tiger Lily knows she’s one of them. When her secrets come to light, she'll have to make a decision: either she must embrace the new chaos or dance in her darkness.

Neverland will never allow her both.

Kendra Moreno is secretly a spy but when she’s not dealing in secrets and espionage, you can find her writing her latest adventure. She lives in Texas where the summer days will make you melt, and southern charm comes free with every meal. She’s a recovering Road Rager (kind of) and slowly overcoming her Star Wars addiction (nope!), and she definitely didn’t pass on her addiction to her son (she did). She has one hellhound named Mayhem who got tired of guarding the Gates of Hell and now guards her home against monsters. She’s a geek, a mother, a scuba diver, a tyrannosaurus rex, and a wordsmith who sometimes switches out her pen for a sword.

If you see Kendra on the streets, don’t worry: you can distract her with talks about Kylo Ren or Loki.

LOVED IT!!!!

OMG, this book had me in tears. I'm amazed at how Moreno can make you hate someone, and still kind of root for them, and mourn them. Or maybe I was mourning with someone else? I'm not sure, and that's another reason I love this book. I feel like the more I read of this author's, the more I love her writing.

¡Última reseña del año! 🥹

I LOVE this world! I love this book because we finally get the story of a character from the Sons of Wonderland series while advancing the story of this series. Tiger Lily is the second book in the Daughters of Neverland series and picks up where Wendy’s story, Vicious as a Darling, leaves off. We’re still fighting the crocodile and trying to save Neverland, but along the way, we get to read a new take on it and get to know a character that didn’t have a big role in the original children’s tale. Lily is a strong, capable leader for her people but she’s got secrets that were suspected in Vicious and now emerge fully into the light in this book. There’s bittersweet history with both Pan and the Croc. There’s steamy hot interaction with a certain interesting Wonderland character. I love the darkness of this book, the look into how dangerous it is to have a happy thought. I also love that Lily never gives up hope and manages to bravely take the opportunity for happiness, despite the risk.

Amazing adventure!!! NO SPOILERS!

I hate it when someone spoils a story for me so I won't do it to you. As expected I absolutely loved Tiger Lily's story! It was just as great as Wendy's if not, even better. I love Kendra's fresh & exciting takes on Wonderland & Neverland(if you haven't read Sons of Wonderland you are missing out & should start there before you read Daughters of Neverland). Each book draws you right inside her world of wonder. She paints beautiful pictures & descriptive scenes that make you feel like you are there in the midst of the action with all your beloved characters. I loved experiencing the Tribe & how close-knit they are. I also love seeing all the characters come together, regardless of their differences & distaste for a certain someone, to save their home. We could use more of the in our own world. Kendra has done it again & I await impatiently for Wicked as a Pixie lol!

I was completely blown away by this book. Which shouldn’t surprise me because I’ve loved every book in the Son’s of Wonderland series and the Daughter’s of Neverland series. You think you have the book and the series figured out just for it to take a sharp turn towards something else and it’s the absolute best ride. It was amazing to see some of our beloved characters from Wonderland as well as learning more about the people from Neverland. I love Tiger Lily and how fierce and loyal she is. I can’t wait to read Tink’s book and see how everything comes together.

Part 2 or 7 🤔

I absolutely adore this series, and i didnt think Late as a Rabbit could be surpassed in awesomeness but then this little gem came around.

Gahd I send the author hate mail because how could she do that. And the worst part is you will understand why, but still whyyyyyyy. Okay rant over, this book was read within a few hours with some potty breaks and food breaks but even then it was hard to put down. This series deserves so much love its not even funny. Read read read !! Go what are you waiting for!?

This is the second book in the Daughters of Neverland series. We are still going where Wendys book ended but now it's a different side with Tiger Lily. This book will grow you in right at the begging and you don't want to put it down. It's such an amazing read and I'm loving the joining of two worlds Neverland and Wonderland as they deal with the fight was crocodile and the change that's happening to Neverland.

I'm loving Tiger Lily and can't wait for Tink's book to come out.

This book went nothing like I thought it would. There were a lot of twists and turns, some I saw coming and some I didn't. The person Tiger Lily ended up with was not someone I would have expected from the beginning either and at one point I thought there might be a thruple, but then someone went and sacrificed themselves (I don't want to give spoilers). I'm not big on polyamorous relationships so I'm happy that Tiger only wound up with one person in the end, but this one didn't have the same feeling at the end like Kendra's other books have where things might be going to crap around everyone, but the main couple is at least sappy and happy. This one ended a bit sadder than all the other books I've read from Kendra.

I was happy to see more of the Wonderland characters in this one. Both Atlas and the March Hare were two characters in the Sons of Wonderland series that I was left wanting to know more about. It was nice to get more of a backstory on one of them and I'm hoping to learn more about the other in the next book.

Overall, I don't think I liked this one as much as the previous book, but this one had some quotes in this it that I loved whereas the first book didn't. This book dealt a lot with what makes a monster a monster and I loved that.

Would I recommend this one? Yes, if you start the series you have to finish it. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Okay, I wasn't expecting the pairing of Tiger Lily and March, but I have to say I don't hate it. The reveal of Wolfsbane being Tiger's brother wasn't too surprising, but it's still an interesting dynamic either way. Aniya is so cute, that even Tink can't help but melt. I've already said this but that scene between the two is so dang cute. Even the mention of Cheshire giving in and playing tea parties with Aniya, was cute.
As soon as March said that Aniya had similar eyes to Tiger, I already knew that Aniya was Tiger's daughter. And then, seeing the way Peter started acting around Aniya, I had firm suspicions on who, Aniya's father was.
Bear has been a great supportive character and he is a great care-taker. So glad to have the Wonderland gang helping out, though I am worrying for Hatter and Clara a bit.
Atlas and Tink hints, I intrigued to see where it goes. Michael helping out March and Tiger on Skull Rock, I don't even know how to describe how I felt. As for Peter Pan's fate um... I think I've spoiled too much already, but let's just say I felt more sorry for Tiger at that point. But for once, Peter did a selfless thing.
Really enjoyed this and I can't wait to continue with the next one. XD

Tiger Lily and Peter Pan

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. I have purchased the book as well.

Wow, I felt so many emotions reading this book: happiness, joy, hope, anger, fear. I cried - yes, real ugly cry, had my heart melt and more.

This world that Ms. Moreno has created - Neverland is beautiful and dangerous - like what we grew up reading about, but then something different. And then, you bring in Wonderland aspects and it it truly amazing.

I love how we really get to see these new sides of some of the characters that we grew up with. I could feel their struggles, their turmoil and their joy.

There was action, adventure, love and friendship, hard times and good times throughout the book.

I can't wait to see what happens next.

SWEET jESUS!!!!! OMG, only Kendra can cram so many emotions in only one book, making us love her and hate her at the same time. Girl, what have you done to me???? This book started as I expected it to, took a little detour I wasn't expecting, then completely surprised me, then it broke me into little pieces and put me back together again (like humpty dumpty.... story idea, lol) Hope number three comes out soon because I am biting my nails here not knowing what is going to happen!!!!

It was better than the first book but personally I liked the first book more. I will definetelly continue it. I was sad when I finished it not only because it ended but because someone died. I wont say who you have to read it. I have never read a book that has characters inside it from another book (wonderalnd characters aiding neverland characters)so it was a wonderful input in the book. I cant wait to read the third book.

Fierce as a Tiger Lily (Daughters of Neverland #2) is a bold reimagining that follows Tiger Lily — strong, silent, and torn between love and loyalty. Her complicated bond with Peter is tested as she starts to question who she is and what she truly wants. When the unpredictable March Hare enters her journey, long-buried secrets come to light and destinies shift. A fantasy tale of heart, courage, and the power of choosing your own path.

Love this so much! Kendra Moreno does an amazing job creating a dark Neverland where everyone is a monster. Fierce as a Tiger Lily picks up where Vicious as a Darling leaves off and gives us Tiger Lily's story as well as more insight on Peter. The Sons of Wonderland make it to help try and right Neverland and many surprises and plot twists follow. Cannot wait to read Tink's story next!

It was okay as a follow up to book one. I'm not a fan of this main character as she's written. Just not a lot happening from her perspective. Wonderland characters play a very prominent role in this book. If I would have read the Wonderland series first, I think I would have liked this book better.
