Beautifully written! This is a must read series. So glad Tammy L. Grace decided to add an additional book to this series. The author writes about true to life issues. She doesn't sugar coat but conveys real emotions and tackles tough topics. Her diverse characters can push your buttons (Shannon & Mia) or make you want to defend them (Izzy's parents). Then there are characters like Izzy that are strong and courageous yet you still want to envelope her in a hug and say "It will be okay. Life works out the way it is suppose to." I am so not ready to leave this fantastic group of island friends behind. Here's hoping the author can be persuaded to write another book in this series.
I received this copy free from the author and am under no obligation to leave a review. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am freely sharing my opinion.

Happily, Tammy L. Grace has surprised her readers with a 6th book in her Hometown Harbor series and it is the perfect finale. Much-loved characters from previous books, both human and canine, appear to help Izzy start a new life on the island. During the transition, she must deal with challenges from past and current events that hurt her deeply. The author shows us through Izzy that you can't escape the past, but perseverance and strength can get you through.

This is a must-read series and a must-read book. You'll enjoy the strong, realistic characters who offer unwavering support and friendship to those going through tough times. The books are heartwarming, yet do not shy away from tackling real life hardships. I'm thankful this author gave us one last peek into the lives of the delightful residents in Friday Harbor. I am still not ready to say goodbye, so I may have to revisit the series!

Forever Home by Tammy L. Grace is a wonderful wrap up to this heartwarming series filled with friends, family, hard hitting issues, and very realistic characters that touched me in every book.

As always there are some characters I just loved and those I cheered for while wanting to shake some sense into others. But no matter how I felt about them, they found a place in my heart and were important to moving the story along.

If you enjoy women's fiction, books about second chances, and strong realistic characters, these are the books for you. I'd definitely recommend reading them in order, but I'd check them out soon.

Thank you to the author and publisher for approving my request for an ARC. All thoughts in this review are my own and happily given because I loved this series.

I was so excited to know that Tammy was adding another book to the series. It was wonderful to meet up with old friends (that's how I view the characters because it's like being a part of the story) and meet some new. Each book highlights a character but there is such a closeness between the friends it's wonderful; Izzy is the main character and fit right in with the others and found a forever home!!! I believe there is opportunity to continue the series and hope to see more!!! I highly recommend this series !!!! If you miss it, well you've missed something special!

A great ending to the Hometown Harbor series. Loved this sixth book in the series. Great characters who struggle to rebuild their lives

Successful attorney Izzy is new to town. She is looking for a new home after putting her home in the market. A divorce left her unwilling to look for love again. Meanwhile her sister is in trouble with the law and her parents beg Izzy to defend Shannon as they try to rescue her once again.

Meanwhile My heart was breaking for Izzy as she tried multiple times to mend fences with her pregnant daughter Mia. The selfishness of Mia is unbelievable as Izzy reaches out to her time and time again.

Thank you to the author for an ARC. The opinions in this review are my own

Almost Home!

I just finished Forever Home. And my heart broke. And I tried to continue to turn the page. I loved the story. Was very happy for Izzy and Colin. But Mia,a 30 year old bitch. Her daddy ,their relationship is a bit weird, shows up to save the day.
Izzy really was lucky to get out of that whole relationship,as hurtful as it sounds,I would love to see more of a follow-up with her family,Colin, his son,and some happiness in Izzy's life.Maybe her parents move to the island.Maybe David moves to the island. Maybe Mia meets David.David shoots Mia down. But there is another story there.
Please,keep it going☺

A heartwarming story about a mother and daughter relationship. Also a romance. Family issues galore. Fresh beginnings. Now that I have discovered Hometown Harbor, I need to go back and read the first five. I won the book via Goodreads. Nice to have discovered a new-to-me author.

Charming and heartwarming!

“Forever Home” was a novel that I picked up and l was immediately invested. I just needed to know more about Izzy and what was going on.

Tammy L. Grace has weaved in some complicated, heart-wrenching scenarios that brought tear-jerking emotions.

This is part of the Hometown Harbor Series and though it can be read as a stand alone, you have much more background on the characters if you were to read the other 5 books first.

I must go back and read the others in the series!

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for fair and honest review.

I have read all the books in this series and I HIGHLY encourage you to start at the beginning, including the prequel to the series. Each book brings back characters from the prior books as their friendships grow. I love the series and this one does not disappoint. Izzy has decided to move to the island permanently. Izzy’s daughter Mia is an ongoing source of hurt to Izzy, but an adopted Golden named Sunny, the friendships and a chance for love again help Izzy accept that life can still be wonderful with what you do have. Now I want to go back and read the whole series again!

I was so happy that the author wrote another book in this series. Her characters jump to life on the pages. They are so realistic. You love some of them and some of them tries your patience, like Izzy's daughter Mia in this one. Grace deals with real life situations deftly in her stories. Midlife crises, family drama, and a second chance at love. i recommend this series to anyone who loves well written heartwarming stories. I would recommend reading the series from the beginning to enjoy it more, because the characters and situations build throughout the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy I received from the author

Loved this latest addition to the Hometown Harbor series. Izzy Griffin is looking for a fresh start and more peaceful life on the island where her brother runs a winery. She doesn't escape the past hurts and family drama that threaten her newfound tranquility, but finds the strength she needs to deal with both. She also finds the courage to open her heart to new relationships- one with a furry companion and one with a handsome neighbor. If you've read the other books in this series, you'll love this return to Friday Harbor and the characters you already know. If you're new to this series, you're going to get hooked.

As this Hometown Harbor series seems to be coming to an end, Tammy L. Grace brings us Izzy's story. This is a story of a woman who is trying to find her place in life after semi-retiring to Friday Harbor. A new beginning. A place where she feels connected, where she could slow down and enjoy life at her pace. It all seems like a perfect plan but life can still be challenging when it comes to family and the past. People who tend to make life difficult. Izzy has family and friends to support her in the small island community and it's these who help her throughout the story and traversing the family perils.

Ms. Grace has created a cast of characters who could be anyone I would meet or know in my own life. Characters that are intimately and deeply created. I felt the connection with Izzy and her emotions as her story unfolds. I especially felt the kindrid spirit between Izzy and the sweet golden retriever, Sunny, as the pup chose Izzy to be her people. "Dogs have a way of knowing exactly what we need, don't they?" "No matter your struggle, when you have a dog, you're never alone." I love that Ms. Grace writes her love of dogs, in particular, golden retrievers, into the stories. They become a vital piece to the whole and add the feel that "a house is not a home without the love of a dog".

Izzy's story is one filled with issues that many families face. Her daughter, Mia, is disrespectful and was always a "daddy's girl" blaming her mom for the divorce of her parents. "Mothers and daughters, huh? It's always more complicated than it looks." Shannon is the "black sheep of the family". The sister whose irresponsible acts make things hard and uncomfortable for the family. These two characters were so well written, that I found myself depising them many times. They were difficult to care about because of their self-centeredness and selfishness. Just the way a good "bad" character should be.

But then there were the heartfelt, tender and compassionate characters. They pulled at my heart and brought so much peace and calm to Izzy's life. Colin is a heartthrob with his Scottish accent, brilliant blue eyes and gentle caring ways to Izzy. Ms. Grace built their relationship with a perfection of timing through the pages of the book. Sigh! The supporting characters bring a completeness to the story. They unite together and enhance Izzy's story to perfection. Add the cast of canine pooches and it's a sweet, heartwarming story I loved reading.

No less a part of the story is the setting. It's a vivid visit to the Pacific Northwest San Juan Islands. The beauty of the harbor and scenic shores. The ferry rides across the water and the surrounding areas. The quaint little shops and restaurants with friendly proprietors make the story even more special. It was a virtual escape through the descriptive words Ms. Grace is so talented to put to paper.

This book had such a heartwarming feel to it as I was reading it. I love Tammy L. Grace's stories and this one was a wonderful and pleasurable read. I want to thank Ms. Grace for the honor and privilege of spending time in the pages of this book. It was an escape that made my heart happy. It's a marvelous five star read for me. All opinions and thoughts in this review are my heartfelt own.

This is the 6th book in the really good series set in Friday Harbor off the coast of Seattle. Each book centers around a female, of mid age who is strong but has suffered in her life, beit through adultery, tradegy or something else. The stories are about how they get their lives back together again.

This book is about Izzy, a competent attorney who, at 51 moves the Island, to have a slower pace of life. She's the Sister of Blake, who runs the winery in Friday Harbor and who married Ellie. She has a 30 year old daughter Mia, who she is estranged from, and she is a divorcee. Mia decided Izzy was the guilty party and Izzy's ex dotes on Mia. Izzy and Blake are 2 of the siblings of the Griffin family, who own vineyards and wineries, their parents are still alive abs they have 3 sisters. 1 of their sisters is always getting into scrapes expecting her parents to bail her out. This is Izzy's story along with a small cross over with another of this authors series, Glass Beach. Of course, there's a dog or 2 in this book! Will Izzy find the peace and future she deserves?

I understand there is another book in the series releasing March 2023, slightly different to the already released in that the main characters haven't been introduced yet, but they are from another of the authors books.

Certainly in the case of the books released so far, the books are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and series .

I just finished Forever Home by Tammy L. Grace is the 6th book in the Hometown Harbor Series and I am hooked you will be too. Even though this is the 6th book in the series it can be read as a standalone but I personally wish I would have read the 5 books before I read this one. I recently won this book on Goodreads and now I have another go to author. I loved this book and now have to go read the previous 5 books in this series and this one again. Ms. Grace wrote a wonderful story which drew me right in, making me forget everything else and did not let me go until I turned the last page. I did not want to put it down and read way past my bedtime. The book is very well written and the characters are realistic and believable. This book was very easy to read and gave me all the feels. The vivid descriptions made me feel like I was right there with the characters.

An engaging series for sure.

I chose to read all six books in this series before writing a review. Ms. Grace writes such good stories that always leaves me wanting more, and this series is no exception.
Each book detailed the hopes and dreams of the main character in such a way as to cause the reader to feel the emotional connections of her past with her future. Not one of the stories left me thinking I had wasted my time.
I think most women have experienced some sort of dysfunction in their own families, and will identify the struggles explored in these books, perhaps finding strength and courage for themselves.

Five stars

This is such an impressive series. Forever Home is both touching and heartbreaking. The issue it deals with, basically, is how narcissistic personalities in families can cause pain and damage family ties. Again the staring fur babies warm the stories and your heart. Tammy L Grace writes beautiful stories about second chances with love in later life. They are full of emotion and all include mans best friend, mainly in the form of Golden Retrievers. Well done, Ms Grace!

Incredibly moving.

Mia is a brat and her father encourages her to continue in that vein. So sad for Izzy. Shannon ... That's yet another story. Sad all the way around for the Griffin family. Lauren and Ken are to be commended. I gave this book 5 stars and would encourage anyone knowing a young woman who may find herself pregnant and confused as to what she should do. Enlightening

Forever Home

Izzy has found peace and friendship at her new home on the island. She has a budding relationship with Colin, but the same twisted relationship with her pregnant daughter, Mia. She's hopeful when Mia stays with her until the birth of the baby until Sophia Helen is born and Mia decides to let Izzy's sister Lauren adopt her and leaves as soon as she gets home to live with her dad. Izzy's heart is broken but Colin and her friends are there for her.

4 Stars

4 stars for Forever Home Book 6. This was an emotional story of Izzy who is at an age where she wants to find peace and joy in a new life. However, not everything works out as she hopes. There is a question of nature verses nurture in a couple of situations and it leaves one wondering what if.

This 6th book in the Hometown Harbor Series was another wonderful book of finding a new life, new love (both human and animal) and learning to deal with the negative and pain in family. The author gives a story on how you can change your life to find happiness and I want to live on that island. This was hard to put down.

Another deeply moving story in this wonderful series. While I enjoyed this story very much, it felt much heavier than some of the others in the series. I would have enjoyed a bit more resolution in the end as it seemed to end fairly abruptly. I really hope that Tammy Grace will continue with this series as these characters have become good friends.

Sigh

I have read the entire series of books (Hometown Harbor) and commend the author for addressing issues that so many women have experienced. Her writing brought back many memories and emotions... I found myself in tears often. I am a better woman after reading the books because I now realize that I need my own "tribe". Thank you so very much for teaching me this lesson.

Friendships getting stronger, ok 99% of them were anyway.

I think I'm going to have to rate this one 5 stars, I really liked this book, but didn't expect the way it had ended. It really had it's ups and downs through out the book, which was kind of expected. All I can say is that Mia should of gotten an ass whooping from her mother. End of story.

Perfect Ending

This is a perfect ending to a wonderful series of Hometown Harbor! I loved reading this book. Izzy and her family, finding love and a special pouch named Sunny. Friday Harbor and all of the island friends are friends you would like to meet. Each has a special story but all of the friends are in each book. Enjoy!

Hometown Harbor Series

I have just finished Forever Home by Tammy Grace. This was book 6 in a series of life on one of the islands in San Juan , Washington. Book 6 is full of family turmoil. It is wonderful how friends support each other. Even their dogs are friends! I would recommend this series and look forward to its continuing. Tammy says she is thinking about book 7.
