Alicia Marino, whose life is consumed by BTS, fantasy romance, and Walt Disney World, strives to find a bit of magic in everything. She credits Jane Austen with igniting her desire to seek evidence of that forever type of love. As a classic introvert living in Florida, she cherishes those overcast days when she can dive into a book and fall in love.
This is a review of both the books in the series. ⚠️ Trigger Warnings ⚠️ The series contains sexual assault, child abuse and addiction.
It's quite rare when a series keeps me in a trance for so long. This has done exactly that if nothing more. It was very very very good. As simple as that. It took me a few days to complete it and it was worth every single second.
The story revolves around Scarlett Bardot, Vice President of a PR firm and Giovanni Martinelli, a very famous Italian designer. With him as her new client, it is only a matter of time before they give into their unmistakable chemistry. And boy, do they have chemistry 🥵. Their entire journey of keeping their relationship a secret, finding true love in each other and facing every obstacle thrown at them, is breathtakingly written.
Their story tore my heart and stitched it back. The experience was nothing less than a rollercoaster. There were emotional and tender moments that spoke to me. That kept me hooked on the story. I couldn't recommend it more.
