This book talks about how one can acquire the expertise to forge leaders, I have delved deep into my interactions with inspiring leaders/mentors who have carved a niche for themselves & benchmarked their best practices for you to imbibe.
There is a lot of Vedic & Greco-Roman cultural influence which you shall find in this book, as it draws a parallel between ancient knowledge & its modern interpretation. Each of the 22 Chapters should be perceived as a tool & this book aspires to serve as a instrument to learn techniques to develop leaders & forge them into champions.

The Midas touch by Sheetal Nair is a motivational non-fiction book. This book favors us some helpful lessons that will help us understand the corporate life, management sector in depth. So basically, the concept of transforming successful leaders to champions is portrayed here. It is favorable for us in developing ourselves and we can acquire knowledge from leaders. It deals with how to motivate and guide people in order to get the work done in the workplace so it is more like an HR function. The explanation is not stretchy rather it is confined to a limited extent that will not be monotonous for the readers to gain the precise knowledge. The quotes are added that are quoted by a wide range of personalities. The title is apt to the book as the title suggests that we can convert whatever we touch into gold and so this book makes us realize we can accomplish whatever we wish. The language used by the author is a bit difficult to understand. The real time examples could have been included to make it as an amazing read. However, the cover is apt for the subject that is written. The writing style was good and captivating.
It’s a short book. It can be read in a day. This book turned out quite different than I expected. Recently I finished an online course on Inner development and living a happy life. So this book served me as an extra toping. I am confused that in which category I should put this book. Because it’s far different and I mean that in positive way, than any other self help books. I was fed up with repeated content of all those books of that genre. This book talks about how one can acquire the expertise to forge leaders. Author has interactions with inspiring leaders/mentors and then shared and penned down this entire book. This book consists of 22 chapters. They are basically discussion, tools and exercises. There is a lot of Vedic & Greco-Roman cultural influence which is included this book, as it draws a parallel between ancient knowledge & its modern interpretation. I liked the chapters coaching champions and Jugaad framework. That was some new concept for me. Author has written well with bullet points, examples and diagrams. The book is written in easily understandable manner. Few things are out of my subject, so I had to google but that was worth learning. Each chapter has something new for us to learn. I am definitely re reading this and using methods to apply. At certain point I had to re read part to understand because it’s few terminologies are out of my subject, that is the only complaint I have. Overall a good and different read.
"Take your destiny as something on which you can work on, and not just a matter of luck."
'Midas Touch" is, as we can say, a guidance by Dr. Sheetal Nair to mould a champion within oneself. The tagline “99 Pages to Acquire the Art of Alchemy &Forge Champions” is very indicative of this. First, it is better to understand the word 'Alchemy'. Alchemy in general, is defined as the process of taking something ordinary and turning it into something extraordinary. Adapting habits and behaviours that will bring out the best in you and also would impel you as a leader to encourage others with same is what this book comprises of. . Before using this book as a counsellor one needs to understand that it is only for those, who can keep an open mind. This book will only help if one would let it. A term 'Holistic Approach' is mentioned several times in the book which means dealing with or treating the whole of something or someone and not just a part. We can see how the author is stressing on the part of transformation on the 'whole' . When talking about becoming a champion, he means from within beacuse that would be lasting. Overcoming oneself first is important and rather tough task. But with great attention to details and change on the whole it is plausible. . Covered up in total of 22 chapters, there are concepts which are bygones, existing since time unknown. Its upon us to interpret it in a way to benefit us. And so, this book helps us as a guide in achieving our true potential. Author has used several inspiring quotes by some famous personality to keep the reader motivated. Written in a complex form i.e. consisting of many technical terms which we don't really hear frequently, this book needs full focus when reading to each and every page. This is something I experienced too while reading. But nonetheless, it will prove best assistance giving positive results if inculcated properly. . Now coming to the title and the cover page. The presentation is very impressive. A finger touching an egg turning it into gold portrayed on the cover and the title 'Midas Touch' is very significant as it relates to the mythical story of King Midas and his magical power of turning everything into gold just by a touch.
This book is like a practical side for your self development and communication skills . It ascend in a manner with answer all the possible questions which might arise in your mind by reading the previous chapter. The skills taught in the book are very effective in the development of the leadership skills which can in turn be useful in both your personal as well professional life . It is always a pleasure reading such informative book coming from a Indian author.
"The interpretation of a message is always dependent on the culture of the receiver." . We people have a concept that 'I will not be able to beat the crowd,' and this is only stopping us from fulfilling our dreams. We very well know many self-discipline acts and right values but the question is how to make the best use of them, how to be an inspiration for others. We lack behind as we do not want to face THAT CROWD. . "The Midas Touch - 99 Pages To Acquire The Art Alchemy & Forge Champions" by Sheetal Nair is a passel of techniques and hacks that will help us amplify ourselves to be a better leader and a person that will actually be able to face the world and achieve what one desires. We can literally transfer our lives into something good with the methods and techniques of the mental alchemy parted through this book. The art of Alchemy, as stated in the tagline of this book, is a skill that at times has also been related to magic. However in basic sense, it is a technique to turn something normal into something outstanding. And this is also the chief idea behind writing this book. . The narration is quite intriguing enough to attract the readers with all those cultural and ancient examples to justify a point. Then inspiring quotes from well known personalities is icing on the cake which also clinged me to understand the concept more nicely. . There are many theories like introducing the concept of 'Powerfulness" in our life, then explaining the concept of leadership very precisely. The way the author explains those “Communication Pillars” along with the analysis of different signs is simply movable. . Explaining the concept of Midas touch; the title is totally apt. The author has given a book of guidance which will act as a Midas touch to our successful life ahead when applied. So this Self- Help book will have no meaning if the way-outs are not applied in reality. The cover is also attractive based on the concept of King Midas turning everything into gold upon touching. . The way things are explained with the optimistic approach can actually be applied in our life in a more concrete manner. As a Non-Fiction the narrative and the editorial style is quite good with major points explained in bullets. Though a 99 page book but took me a little more time than usual to instil and understand each and every concept of this book. Jotted down the points which I can re-read in my free time. A highly recommended book to read for all.
Quote : "In Human Potential, "More" and "Less" are not only words, they become life directions."
Rating- 4/5 stars
Genre - Non-fiction, Self-help book.
Synopsis- "The Midas Touch" inspired by the myth, symbolizes the 'golden touch' of King Midas. The cover of the book designed by Rishikumar Thakur compliments it's title and theme. The author is heavily influenced by the Vedic and Greco-Roman culture. He has blended the ancient knowledge of the cultures with his modern experiences. It is a short book of 99 pages well divided into 22 short and crisp chapters. Each chapter states a theory that leads a common man and helps him develop his leadership skills. Furthermore, he uses the techniques of leadership to cast a champion out of his readers.
Discussion- In this book, Dr. Nair guides us on how one can become a leader and not only a leader, but how one can add an X-factor element in their characters and become a champion with the golden touch. The author has taken up complex theories and tried to simplify them for the readers. In fact, he takes up the ancient preaching and shows us how they are relevant in the modern times. The unique part of the book which I personally loved was the quotes provided by the author at the beginning or the end of a paragraph or chapters which summarized the following concept. Another distinctive factor about the book was the relatable examples given by Dr. Nair that made the understanding of the theories easier. The writing style is direct. The major take away of the book is that Dr. Nair gives you tools to fight in this world and make our own paths. I usually don't drift towards non-fiction books but this piece of non-fiction is like a dark chocolate bar, you can't devour the whole bar at once, same goes with this book. You have to let each chapter sink inside slowly.
Recommendation- It is a short book hence, it not intimidating. This book is for everyone who desires to achieve his/her goals and develop his/her personality. P.S.- It is also for people like me who find it hard to get through a non-fiction book but still has a desire to read the amazing self-help books out their books out their and gain some insight.
The Midas Touch by Dr. Sheetal Nair is a book that explores the world beyond a leader. Inspired from the Greek Mythology and Indian Vedas, Dr. Nair explores the way a normal person can transform into a champion, much like the fabled Midas Touch. This book talks about how one can acquire the expertise to forge leaders. The author has delved deep into my interactions with inspiring leaders/mentors who have carved a niche for themselves & benchmarked their best practices for you to imbibe. There is a lot of Vedic & Greco-Roman cultural influence which you shall find in this book, as it draws a parallel between ancient knowledge & its modern interpretation. Each of the 22 Chapters should be perceived as a tool & this book aspires to serve as an instrument to learn techniques to develop leaders & forge them into champions. Usually non-fiction is a genre that tends to be boring and with a lot of jargon and long chapters, which is not the case here. The chapters are short and crisp with a quick takeaway with each of them. The main points are presented as bullet points which help in retention as well as making notes, if needed. The strategies outlined in the book are quite simple, yet interesting and can be imbibed quite easily in our lives. There are no sermons as to follow a specific path, but a guidance to find your own self. The book has some very inspiring quotes by various people and are placed at strategic locations. There are a few editing errors in the book, nothing which cannot be removed in another round of editing.
Overall, a short and interesting read on the concept of the alchemical process of becoming a champion and improving each day.
The book is very unique and is written with the perspective to throw light on how a person can achieve leadership or Championship etc. After I read the entire book the title seemed very appropriate. The book is very short but each of the chapters is pretty heavy so it took me a while to get in the book and understand it's essence. The chapter on people management was the first one which hooked me and kept me engaged; especially the main elements of perception pillar such topics are dealt in depth in the book with very lucid language and good narration thus making it a really good and enlightening read. This is a very different non fiction / self help book and I really like the format of the book the way everything came together in the end and made sense. There was a particular portion where the author was discussing about some goals for self improvement and self-transcendence and that entire concept it was a little difficult for me to pen down right now but trust me when I say that it opened my eyes and I recommend that portion of the book heavily. The book is short, crisp and concise , just hitting the mark it does not beat around the bush which is the best thing about it. It gives a fresh perspective to do a lot of things that we usually or already know and don't ponder on ignore. There are quotations in the book thrown here and there which was also a very good treat while reading the book. There were certain things which I did not understand very well for example there weas portion on denotative analysis and connotative analysis and I would like to revisited after sometime to have a better perspective and clearer picture.
A thriving read, making us realize the essence of being a champion. The methods used to explore and explain things makes it class apart. Many theories are laid down neatly in laymen's terms. * The writing style is innovative, futuristic, and captivating. Many theories and notions have been backed up by real-life instances, which makes it a gripping read. Few concepts are conveyed in bullet points, making it lucid to grasp and endure. * Each chapter's title is fascinating, engaging, and enthralling. The best part is the coining of enchanting terms, like "perception lenses," "evolutionary trajectory," to instill visionary ideas. The author touches on every possible aspect like psychology, communication, inner engineering, handling emotions, martial arts, everything put together in a soothing platter. * There are a lot of take-away, and few of most favorites are,
>Remember you only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough. >In Human Potential, "More" and "Less" are not only words, they become life directions. >To equal "fame" or "wealth" with real honour is false and fake. >Peace is a great goal, but it must be achieved. * I would highly recommend this book to each soul out there as it is not like any other self-help book, but it is a self-realization book in its own league. Just grab the book and indulge in your inner self.

👨💻Personal note:- If you are going to start reading a self-help book. I will suggest you any other book than this. But if you are into self-help genre and love reading self-help books then this book is magic for you.
As the name and the tagline of the book suggests, this is a non-fiction book. Inspired from various legends from ancient Greece, Rome, and India at times, this book brings about various insights on life and its challenges to get at the top in our lives. This is a blend of ancient teachings with modern techniques and lifestyles.
In our childhood, at least once we all have heard about the Greek King Midas and how he could he had the power of turning anything that he touched into gold. The same way the book tries to teach or at least introduce to us the many powers to inculcate in oneself to be a successful man in career and in life. Unless other non-fictional and self-help books this one is a relatively small read.
The author has used her skills in writing this 22 chapters long book in a precise and lucid manner. There are numerous quotes from vivid personalities that give a personal touch to the book. It speaks to all, be it a beginner or a master reader. The flow of the book is extremely smooth and never in the process of reading and understanding does it make you yawn. It is a fairly engaging and helpful book.
This book was an in depth understanding of entrepreneurship. It emphasised on championship and entrepreneurs. The best parr about this book was the indian taste to using ones potential to fulfill their purpose. I highly recommend this book to young entrepreneurs.
"Because remember you only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough." I mean look at the wisdom the book has. And believe me there is much more to it.
I read this non-fiction book, The Midas Touch: 99 Pages To Acquire The Art Of Alchemy & Forge Champions by Dr. Sheetal Nair which talks about the art of becoming a leader in the competitive era of 21st century. I am not a big fan of such books and I challenged myself to read this book for some obvious reasons like the title. The title is a blend of ancient times alchemy with the modern day need of becoming a leader. This book is really informative, short and to the point, which explains the points or situations with examples from different spheres of life. It deals with the art of self development, self expression and self realization. A human can live a good and happy life if he/she knows the path to take, it will need some practice and self study to do so, but the road will become worth travelling. The book also focuses on the old sayings and the wisdom given by the ancient people, it is a good and an organised book of 22 chapters, each discussing about terms and techniques of growth.
Reading this book I realized that how communication skills are important for the existence in the modern context, be it office, home or society. Leadership is the talk of gone days, now we are talking about the human who walks as a leader with the fellows, step by step. Short and to the point, this book is a sure resemblance of the research of the author. a lot of technical terms have been used, along the quotes from a lot of prominent people like Aristotle, Nikola Tesla, and others. And how can I forget the diagrams which are used in the book to keep the reader engaged. The only thing that upsets me about the book is too much technical information and terms which take me back to my graduation days where we were asked to learn the terms and produce them in your answers. otherwise its a good-good read.
The language is easy, well connected chapters and full of wisdom, this book of knowledge is captured in only 90 pages. If you are looking for some good book to enhance your leadership skills or even for some self-growth, then I highly recommend this book.
✏️About the author- ---------------------------- The midas touch has been written by a very renowned person Dr. Sheetal Nair who is not only a author but also a human resource professional and also holds many other qualification in various fields. After reading his profile I was like 'oh my God he has achieved so much in his life'.
✏️About the book- --------------------------- The author initially started with the life in a corporate journey, like how it can weaken or strengthen a person.Author's corporate journey was full of learnings. He depicted in this book what is championship ,how one can achieve championship and who are champions. He also mentioned the importance of communication skill and personal development for upcoming life. Most people are actually externally full filled but internally they are hollow;they have no connection with their innerself. One of line in this book that deeply touches my heart is- (Remember you only live once, but if you do it right one is enough) Living in this life we should know our purpose and goal.We should ask ourselves that- 💎Who am I? 💎What satisfies me? 💎Where I want to express myself? ✏️Review:- -------------- 📖The author was inspired by the Greek myth 'Midas' and hence the name of the book he kept is 'The midas touch'.I really like the origin of the title which makes the book more interesting. 📖The cover of the book is very attractive and eyecatchy. 📖Though the number of pages are 99 but I must say each and every page consist of something that can help us lead a happy and peaceful life. 📖It is a short read and I finished the book within two sittings. 📖The book is really motivating and inspiring.I enjoyed reading this book. ... I recommend this book to everyone who want some motivation are into self-help books.📖✔️ ... . . . . #bookaddict #bookstagramindia #bookstagram #bookish #bookstagrammer #bookphotography #booksbooksbooks #booklover #bookaesthetic #bookblogger #bookstagramming #bookheaven #bookreview #BookBlog
Honestly speaking, I don't feel qualified enough to review this book and unabashedly I will state that this book of 99 pages took me more than 3 weeks to finish. I will tell you this though, this book is going to help you only if you let it. And you need to be in a acceptable state of mind, where you let go of previous notions and then and only then will you be able to accept the knowledge given in the book. This is for those readers who are not familiar with this topic or want to achieve something in life but you think you are not capable enough. That leads me to the my second point, this is one of those books which has to be read at the right time. Like right now, I don't feel like I need to be any higher than I am, I am happy with my work and my steady success, so I couldn't bring my self to apply any knowledge in the book. That being said, the book is a plethora of tips and tricks, scattered with excellent lines like the one below.
"A message can be found in the power of a hostile gaze and in a friendly and warm hug: humans and other living creatures communicate and interact significantly via the sense of touch, and also in olfactory, kinesics, visual, or biochemical signals."
The author talks about how to harness our own resources, like how to engineer our brains, finding our own path to success. There are 22 chapters on themes like championship, leadership, harnessing the magic touch etc. The author has stated to have drawn his inspiration from Midas, the king with the golden touch. The author has tried to apply mental alchemy to his methods and techniques to forge champions from his readers. The narration is not entirely simple, you do need to concentrate while reading. If you really want to learn from this book, keep your notepad handy. I will say this though, I have yet to read a self help book like this one. Instead of vague ideas the author has given clear statements. And that is the reason why I am giving this book 4 stars. I won't say if it is recommended. It is entirely upto you if you want to change your life.
THE MIDAS TOUCH Author: Dr Sheetal Nair Alchemy - The process of transforming something from one form to another. In medieval times it refers to the art of converting base metals to gold. The Midas Touch is a book or tool that transforms a person from ordinary to an extraordinary leader.
The author has used a different approach here. A Human is considered as a source of the energy-producing machine. The interactions a person faces in life determines his energy level, and this helps in shaping his personality. The author has highlighted the importance of communication and stress management as the two robust tools for shaping one's personality. These tools change one's inability to express appropriately and transforms one's body language inducing a sense of fundamental change automatically. Communication affects behaviour and emotions. Coaching and training like Tai chi, martial arts help in forging a person's behaviour and emotions and channelling one’s energy flow. Observation and inference are the tools for success which help in making a person a champion.
The author has also highlighted the aggressive animal nature of the human. Channelling of one's energy to achieve a goal through teamwork and coordination. Improvement of mental state from one's experience; broadening our mind; the concept of expectation, performance development; how life purpose shapes a champion, the influence of society on these life purposes, how to achieve one's best energy or full potential, identification of genuine from fakes, mind improvement by staying away from these fakes and negatives.
Identification of a person's real value depends on his perception of surroundings, what experience we chooses to keep and gives to the world.
Awesome read. Helps to find our inner self and to improve it. “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” - Oscar Wilde Rating: 4

The name Midas Touch caught my attention which I can connect with the king Midas who had the ability to turn anything into gold by just touching it. Yes, this book goes through the shed light on leadership, championship, self-help or self-growth but cannot detain the burden of the title.
Few important (or essential to be very precise) theories about the corporate India and management sector were good. Language was simple, easy to understand and the plot was related to solutions of our day-to-day problems. The author being a follower of Sadhguru wrote about few exceptional topics
This was the first book where so many editing errors were noticed by me. The sentences throughout the 90 pages demands a good editor. While reading the book I felt like it was an informal letter to family members.
The writing style of the author was moderate so as the pace of the book. The author did not had his grip throughout the book. If you like to read self help books or motivational books you can go for it.
“ A leader is aware of the multisensory and intangible nature of communication and knows that even the way of driving and knows that even the way of driving and parking is a form of the championship, or the way you shake hands or hug someone” – The Midas Touch
The Midas Touch by Dr. Sheetal Nair is a very short read. If I had to put it in a genre, I might choose self-help. However, believe me, when I say this, the book has served purposes beyond its genre. Through the 22 chapters, the book has covered discussion on leadership, inner value, ancient knowledge, and whatnot. Each chapter has conveyed something that will be useful in our daily life. The context has been made easy with the help of bullet points and diagrams.
As we all know the King Midas was someone who could turn everything he touched into gold. The author has subtly hinted that by following the measures that have been instructed in the book, one can truly transfer his life into something good. Therefore, I appreciate the choice of the title. Along with that, the cover is also beautiful.
What I feel with self-help books is that they tend to deliver the same message with different approaches. That is why I am not a big fan of this particular genre. However, with this book, the notion did not match. The book has kept its agenda and message very unique. Though at some places I felt some of the contexts were repetitive.
The language was pretty simple. I am so happy to say that grammatical errors were not there. Otherwise, I feel a massive hindrance in my reading. The establishment of the relationship between the Vedic age cultures with the modern age was something I cherished reading. The writing was enriched with information that says the author has done his research work properly. I will definitely recommend this book to all my non-fiction lover friends, and to them who are in quest of reading something very innovative.
Book - THE MIDAS Touch : “99 Pages to Acquire the Art of Alchemy &Forge Champions” Author - DR. SHEETAL NAIR
The Book - "THE MIDAS Touch : 99 Pages to Acquire the Art of Alchemy &Forge Champions”, is divided into twenty - two(22) chapters. In the beginning, it was little difficult for me to understand the topics included in the book, which was the main reason why it took ten(10) days for me to complete this book. The Book talks about how one can acquire the expertise to Forge leaders, which is basically the highlight of the book. The chapters included in the book, explains the different techniques and tools, which are necessary in the process of developing the qualities to become a good leader and a champion.
"A leader is aware of the multisensory and intangible nature of communication and knows that even the way of driving and parking (where, how, and how respectfully for others) is a form of championship, or the way you shake hands or hug someone." - This line is from chapter - Art Of Alchemy –To Forge Champions.
Overall, the book is quite interesting. The title of the book reminds me of the king Midas, who is one of the most famous king and popularly remembered for his ability to turn everything he touched into gold, even his touch is called the golden touch, which according to me is a great choice because this book is really a gold read, with everything included so thoughtful. The author tried to explain the topics in details for better understanding, which makes the book worth reading. The language used is simple and lucid. I really liked the content of the book. Nothing in the book is extra or unwanted which is the plus point of the book. This book will take little time in the beginning(may not be same for others) to understand, because it has so much within, that it requires times. In short, I highly recommended. Go and Read this book, to know more about it.
Title: The Midas Touch Author: Dr. Sheetal Nair Rating- 4/5 stars Genre: Non-fiction, Self-help book. Review: "The Midas Touch" inspired by the myth, symbolizes the 'golden touch' of King Midas. The cover of the book designed by Rishikumar Thakur which is in perfect harmony with the title and theme. Through the storyline, it can be seen that the author is heavily influenced by the Vedic and Greco-Roman culture. In this book, Dr. Nair guides us on how one can become a leader that leads others and one own self into the righteous path. The author has taken up complex theories and tried to simplify them for the readers. He through his effort has combined ancient words of wisdom with the modern understanding of youth to create perfect harmony. The unique part of the book which I personally loved was the quotes provided by the author at the beginning of the end of a paragraph. The writing style is direct. The major take away of the book is that Dr. Nair gives you tools to fight in this world and make our own paths. He through this book has tried to be a guiding light that helps as many as he can or In the words of Shakespeare his efforts can be said as, “It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest: It blesseth him that gives and him that takes.”
The Midas Touch by Dr. Sheetal Nair is a wonderful book for personal and professional development. A lot of really practical, down to earth information here on how to grow and develop as a leader and what it takes to be someone that others even want to follow. Packed with advice, quotes and examples. Simultaneously inspiring and daunting, it contains fantastic insights and candid lessons into what it takes to succeed in the rough and tumble of the real world. Most self help books go on and on avoiding the heart of the issue basically padding the book with fluff to increase the book's size. This one does a good job with sticking to the core of the content which is mostly influenced by the ancient preaching of Vedic and Greco-roman culture.
A book to help develop the leader within yourself as well as learning to be a better leader. Very good read but can be a little overwhelming and almost impossible to absorb everything during the first read through but i'll be revisiting it from time to time to get to most out of this book. It's not only for leaders, it's also helpful for navigating your everyday life with more purpose. I think there are SO many self-help books out there on the same topic and they all essentially say the same thing. So finding one or more that really speak to me is key. This was definitely one of them. There is so much information in this book that needs to be seen and highlighted to comprehend it all. Read this book with multiple pens in hand and possibly a journal if you keep track of useful tips. So Overall, If you’re looking to engage your brain or start to stir up your thinking on leadership this book is an excellent place to begin.
The book contains lessons about how to manage things like a leader, gain knowledge through the simple techniques used by them that change their lives. Mind being powerful but if we don't use in right way it can destroy the world.
Book is a complete package of knowledge which is divided into various parts showing what a leader should know and what they should avoid. Beautiful lines spoken by famous persons are written in between the chapters to convey the message what the chapter wants to say. I like the way author has described the chapters and how they are connected to us. About brain, knowledge, fight against giants, management and many more such things are discussed in the book.
Book looks simple but the meaning is very deep. All the things mentioned here are connected to our life where we can easily find the solutions to the problems of life. We have to develop some skills in our life to make ourselves better. Language of the book is simple, easy to understand and conveys beautiful message.
Title is perfectly suitable for the book. Cover of the book is amazing. Answer to the questions we always want to find can be known through the book. Want to change life and learn something that change yourself the book is for you.
The book mainly talks about inspiring topics in order to achieve dreams and build in good leadership qualities. It is complete guide about learning leadership skills. The book comes with many theories related and some real life examples. Though I have read many non-fictional books, I haven’t come across something helpful like this one. The book holds 22 chapters well equipped with techniques that helps us in development. A lot of Vedic & Greco-Roman cultural influence is found in this book. The author discusses about leadership, how it should be, what makes a good leader, team, etc. in an effective way. Themes like corporate sector, championship, leadership, belief, etc. Not every leader can lead to best teamwork but this book helps us become good leader. This is not like a usual self-help book or some personal development one it’s more like a practical guide. Author in this book has said that even he has followed spiritual thinker’s way in order to achieve his dreams. Skills are more essential in any fields and this book shows us the way to learn skills of our comfort. The title is in reference with the name of king Midas who used his mind power to turn his dreams true. The cover gives aesthetic look. The author has really written the content well, like the subject connects deeply with readers soon. The descriptions are vivid. Language is lucid and narration is smooth. The content is really inspiring. For start to end the book never fails to motivate. Recommended to nonfiction readers and a must read to aspiring entrepreneurs.
The Midas Touch I have read many self-help books, and generally, they are filled with a long list of do's and dont's which is also good, but this book is different, where everything has been defined and explained with a logic which makes it an even more interesting read, the usage of quotes and pointers is really appreciate worthy and I have highlighted a lot of points from the same. It is important to know what others are doing wrong but it is more important to not repeat the same, it's good that this book tells you so many things which we might not notice and emphasis again and again on the point that all that shines is not gold. It might not come as an easy read in the first few pages, but once you get into the writing its a well-researched read, and is truly appreciated. Finding inner engineering and What is your true value were two of my favourite chapters. The way ancient knowledge and modern contexts are mixed together is also really good because that enables one to connect with there past and also adapt things what have been in our roots since a long time, not everything that we have from past is bad, there are a lot of practices and pearls of wisdom which teach us a way of life and they should be followed. Maybe it was the Author's own personal experiences that made the book even better or the way he has presented the research. I would like to recommend it to everyone because being a book based on Indian corporate culture makes it more relative and gives you a larger reach to learn. 4/5 highly recommended for people in the corporate world.
"Midas Touch" is the non fiction and motivational book is written with much candour. The philosophy of the book revolves around our power and ability to bring change in our lives personally, professionally and spiritually. Title is inspired by King named midas who had got the power as a boon that he touches everything turns into gold. Here, Midas Touch is the our own power of mind that shift positively to achieve championship.
The word championship is coined by the author Dr Nair himself with this book. Profoundity of this word is the ability to connect people with overall sense and life purpose. It is more an obligation to search for truth and wisdom, rather being a just a discipline.
Book contains chapters with full of wisdom and spiritual insights and quotes of great philosophers and process of championship in ancient era and modern era. Human potential, power of communication, personal growth, true value of human and life and our belief system are most focused facets within the book.
Author shades light how culture and religion influence our mind and beliefs and suggests to eradicate fake concepts and liberate ownself with new firm and positive beliefs.
Content is such inspiring and motivating that you will also find that the secret to achieving your dreams lie within the very heart of your being. If you are searching elsewhere, it’s time to go within and find what’s hidden inside.
Narration style is simple, stunning and easy that anyone can read it in a go and book cover is much impressive and title is just superb.
If I go by a little reminder, Midas touch is named after king Midas and his ability to turn anything he touched into gold. However, this book does not exactly fit the same concept but to some extent, yes. It does shed light on championship, leadership, potential inventors etc.
The book consists of some essential theories that help in improvising management sector, corporate India and definitely an individual’s persona and growth.
Author has explained concepts like what is leadership and how a leader should be like, how to know your inner value, why having internal belief is the most important etc.
Tbh, when author mentioned that he too is a follower of the highly esteemed spiritual leader Sadhguru, I was taken aback with surprise since I am his die-hard fan too. Words are certainly gonna fall short if I start writing how amazing he is and how much one can learn from him.
I could actually relate to most of the stuff in book since I have studied some of the basics of subjects that author has very intricately defined in this book during my school days which in turn made it quite easier for me to understand what author wants to convey.
Language is smooth, couldn’t spot any errors or trouble in understanding and narration follows a moderate pace. Although I did feel like addition of some real life examples or even hypothetical situations could have brought more thrill to the book.

Book is written in an easy way, with examples and explanations included one can easily get through what the author had to convey. It's an well researched book, with some technical aspects where the author had clearly narrated every single minute details. At some point, the content was heavy for me to grasp but that was just for some of the part, and otherwise the book was really a great read.Would recommend it to people you love reading non-fiction, self help books for budding entrepreneurs!!!
The book Midas Touch, with a very fascinating title is a nonfiction which guides the readers towards the art of accomplishing their long desired goals. The book has first dealt with the issues such as lack of communication, shyness, perceiving capacity etc which hinder personal/professional growth and then provided with the solutions and tricks to overcome them. I feel this book is effective when you follow all the solutions mentioned in the book. Coming over to the writing.
Positive attributes: •The book is very well structured. It not only enlist the problems but also provide the solutions. The best thing I liked about it. • Every topic is dealt under a section. There are a total of 22 sections. I like that the author did not intermixed different issues. •The book is slow and takes appropriate amount of time to seep into ones mind. • The title of the book fits accurately with the content of the book. Midas touch is inspired by King Midas whose ambition led him to be a goal seeker.
Negative attributes: • At some points, the sentences were colliding into each other and led to confusion. • Some technical terms included in the text should've been explained a bit more. • The cover should've had a little more aesthetic.
In my opinion, I liked this book a lot. When read with great attention, it could be of extreme help. Are you a dreamer? If yes then read the book and learn the art of achieving your dreams.
Every knows about the king Midas whose touch turned everything into gold. Even his daughter but should your life be the same? Yes, everyone wants a good amount of gold but when we hear Midas's story, we do not need our family to turn into one. This book gives you that golden touch but without the bit of turning your family into a literal gold statue.
The book contains 24 chapters which ranges from Gratitude to Transcendence to Eras to Alchemy. Yes, Alchemy and Vedic and Modern Era. Our ancestors have built us a foundation that if followed well will truly turn your life into gold. This book smoothly transits from managing yourself to the people and the tools you need to do it and while our lives revolve around money, it is our behavioural and Emotional skills that matter to frame our lives as well as the ones surrounding us. Yes, a pinch of experimental engineering in our life can make it feel like a Transcendence.
The book becomes really good after each page turn because it contains Vedic to Modern Age, Data to Engineering, Alchemy to Fighting with Giants. From Brain to Brawn. It's a full package deal.
The author Dr. Sheethal Nair had put in his expertise into a very uncomplicated read. Being a sadhguru follower was a plus point for me because it gave me an assurance about the words being said to me. This book is a short read of 99 pages and really worth your time. I hope you buy it and enjoy it as well.
#NewRead! Every one of us has a different internal representation of what “values” can be, and what “self-discipline” means. A good Semiotic work aims at understanding “what does this word mean for you? ~ The Midas Touch - 99 Pages To Acquire The Art Alchemy & Forge Champions by Sheetal Nair * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * This book has an insight of emergence of a leader through the unique techniques and blend of non cliche perceptions towards the uncertainties and obstacles in the path of corporate success. The cultural influence and experiences has a taste of personal narrative throughout each of the chapters which makes it an intriguing read. The self help books are not easily comprehended given the fact if the way-outs are not executed in the reality, it has no meaning attached to it. On the other hand, this book has some of the much easier tips to come out as a reader with a new blend of thoughts after eating the book. The tools talked about in the book are optimistically oriented and practical enough to be grasped and applied throughout the journey thereby managing the workplace in an effective manner. Apart from the lack of editorial aspects attached to it and unstoppable textbook feels, the book is a decent read if one is interested in the organisation of mental and emotional blend to become a leader.
