Mr. Darcy or Heathcliffe
Dane is the third book in the Wild County Curves series and is the story of Eden Horne and Dr. Dane Caden. It is a short story that is OTT, insta-love, romantic and sexy. The story-line has drama, emotion and was engaging with nice characters, even when you are not sure at the beginning. There is a very nice HEA that wraps up the story well.
Eden moved to Wild County years ago and is a librarian at the Wild County Public Library. She is trying to get a promotion so she is on a mission. She is determined to collect every single lost or missing book or guild the person into donating the same amount as the book cost. She is down to her last three books all checked out by Marjorie Wilson. When she drives into the Wild County mountains she is not sure what she will find but her imagination is running away with her in the literary sense. When she finally arrives at the old Victorian house at the end of a long driveway tucked into the forest she is not ready for what she encounters. She does retrieve the missing books but also meets a huge man that she is intrigued by, Dane.
Dr. Dane Caden retreated to his house two years ago to be by himself after a life altering accident. His fiancee Marjorie had been involved in an accident and was seriously injured. He received a phone call from another doctor at the hospital and he rushed there to treat her. Marjorie's two year old daughter was not hurt but Dane was not able to save Marjorie. The daughter went to live with her father a couple of towns over and Dane cut himself off from everyone basically never leaving the house.
When a woman knocks on his door Dane is not opening it. But Eden sees a curtain move so she tells whoever it is who she is and why she is there. Shortly the door creaks open and the books are tossed onto the front porch. As she bends to pick them up Dane sees her and after a few words Eden runs down the stairs only to twist her ankle. Dane picks her up and takes her inside after a struggle with her, as she does not trust him.
The next day Eden knocks on Danes' door again only this time she has a picnic basket filled with things for them to have lunch together. Eden finds she cannot stay away from Dane and Dane has been thinking only of Eden since she left the previous evening. Lunch is about to get cold as these two get hot and steamy on the couch and then some.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Dane and Eden. Dane is a doctor who is living alone in an old victorian house in the mountains. Dane has cut himself off from society until Eden landed at his door. Eden is a librarian who wants a promotion. Eden took it upon herself to collect overdue books and the fines. When Eden went to Dane' house, she was surprised when he threw the books on the porch and told her to leave. Eden fell and sprained her ankle trying to get back to her car. Dane couldn't leave her outside hurt, so he went to her. When a storm came in, Dane refused to let Violet leave until it passed. Violet returned to see Dane to thank him for caring for her. Eden was drawn to Dane and wanted to know why he was alone in the mountains. Dane felt an attraction to Eden he never felt before and found he wanted to talk to her. I really enjoyed this book. Dane was dealing with his past and i think he needed to realize he wasn't at fault. Eden brought life back to Dane. They had an instant love, it was a good story.

Amazingly fun story! Dane is the picture of a wounded soul. This doctor is big, strong, sexy, surly and damaged. He suffered a great loss several years before, and has been completely closed off ever since. But Eden changes all that. Small, feisty, determined, and curious, she just can't leave the puzzle of Dane alone. But Eden brings him back to life in a heartbeat, and now Dane is willing to make her his world. Sweet and sexy and fulfilling, this is a story not to miss!

Over due Library books
She was after very over due library books, a strom was coming and the old Victorian house looked spooky. He throws the books outside of the door and she yells at him. He comes out and they argue . She twisted her ankle and he makes her stay till the strom is over. She returns with lunch ,she fires a bunch of questions at him and he yells and shes trying to leave. He hadn't been around people for a long tine and forgotten how to act. Thsy talk and get to know one another

I really enjoyed this installment in this series. This is the third book and they can be read as a standalone but the intertwine. You will get a better understanding of the characters and story if you read them in order. The characters fit well together and have amazing chemistry. You will enjoy this book and series.

Very good
I liked this one a lot! A cranky recluse doctor named Dane meets the bossy and nerdy librarian named Eden. Total opposites on all accounts. Except Eden likes the recluse doctor. I mean she should. He did help her out of the pouring rain. It was quick and enjoyable short read.

A recluse mountain main meets his match in Eden. I love how she loves books and goes after the missing books even after all that time. It’s fate stepping in and you can feel their sparks. But he has demons and I love how he decides to move past that. It’s a little sad but also sweet and sexy.

A great fast pace page turner! The story-line is engaging, witty, well written, emotionally deep, and fun. The characters are likeable with instant chemistry between them. Definitely recommended.

Coming from the darkness to light
That's what I think happened when Dane was brought back to life by meeting Eden. This was such a beautiful story. Scary in some ways for her but beautiful. Thanks for such a good book.
