When his wife leaves him with a four-year-old, Drew Gold doesn’t know how to cope. His home’s a mess, he sleeps when his kid does, and he hasn’t been working. His brother suggests a live-in nanny.
The person to answer his call? Callie Stewart, a girl from his past. The one he used to bully, and now she’s here offering him salvation. She should walk away from him, but she’s not cruel. Taking care of his kid will be a breeze, but will she be able to handle living with her bully?
Drew likes her curves, her smile, her laugh. He doesn’t know how he failed to notice her before, but there’s no doubt he wants her. When an argument between them escalates, the fire burns brighter than ever. One touch is all it takes for both of them to get burned.
Everything Callie thought she knew about Drew comes crashing down around her when his wife comes back to town. Now Callie needs to fight more than ever for the love of her man. He should stand up and fight, but will he realize he’s not in this alone?
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
This should incorporate a warning for anyone having been bullied to make an informed decision. People typically react to kindness not bullying. Although the main character Drew has filed for a divorce, technically he is a married man...hence infidelity.
A depiction of a bully-victim second chance romance. Plot lines based on bullying. How often in life would we gravitate towards a person that tormented, taunted and made our lives a living hell? In Romancelandia, of course!
Drew Gold was mean...in preschool he’d hit her with a book because she’d been showing the book more attention rather than him. I intensely dislike the phrase ‘children being children’ ... some children are instilled with manners, evidently he was not❗️
He bullied Callie relentlessly, making her life a misery in high school. He, his buddies and the cheerleading team, calling her “Fat Callie. Callie the whale”. Drew had been particularly brutal, throwing food at her, tipping her drink in her bag, shredding her homework, stuffing her locker with condoms.
Callie was unassuming..they’d shared the same classes. She was seated in the front, he in the back. He threw balls of paper at her and tormented her through high school. She’d been bigger than the other girls in their year and he’d been intimately involved with the cheerleaders who’d hated her.
Callie was smart, kind and generous and because she was a doormat, she’d become everyone’s prey. Sleeping around with Tilly (his estranged wife) and most of the cheer squad regularly, he’d picked up the bullying habit and exceeded all expectations. He’d ridiculed and hurt Callie for laughs and was indifferent that she was the person he’d tormented.
“Callie said whatever boys can do, we can do too. A boy at the park pushed me. He told me I was a fat loser and I couldn’t do the same as him, but Callie said I could. She said some boys are just mean, and they can’t see how awesome girls are.” Callie hadn’t told him a boy had hurt his little girl. He didn’t want her going to the park if there were mean boys there who would bully his little girl. Not happening”. Hypocrite❗️A case of ‘the sins of the father visiting the child’ ... Callie was a casualty of his juvenile behaviour.
“There’s something I want to talk to you about. I don’t want you taking Meghan to the park anymore.” “Excuse me?” “You heard me. I don’t want her there. It’s not safe. And clearly you weren’t keeping an eye on her if you allowed a boy to bully her.” “The boy didn’t bully her. Meghan got up and she came over to me. I was going to talk to the boy’s parent, but she asked me not to.” “And you take your orders from a four-year-old?” “Yes, I’m a nanny.” “Wrong. I’m your boss. You take your orders from me. You will not take my daughter to the park anymore. There’s no way I will allow her to be bullied.” She couldn’t help it, she burst out laughing. “Seriously, you’re going to get defensive because your daughter encountered a bully? Do you even know what she did to retaliate?” “I don’t care.” “Well, tough, because seeing as I’m still dealing with a type of bully right now, I’ll tell you. She walked right up to that boy, and she climbed the ropes, proving to him that he couldn’t push her down. He could tell her she couldn’t do anything, but with her head held high, she proved to him that she damn well could. You don’t have to back down from bullies, nor do you hide from them. You prove what they say and what they do mean nothing to you.” “Is that what you’re trying to tell me now? Huh, I mean nothing to you?” “What’s it like, Drew? One day you’re going to have to realize there are going to be guys just like you, only this time, your daughter could be the target. How does that feel?” Callie asked.
The feckless a-hole Drew then corners the passive aggressive Callie and engages in unprotected sex. “I should hand in my resignation right now. You could report me.” “How about this? If you close this door, I will report you and put a very descriptive letter on the internet about the kind of services you offer.” He wouldn’t do it but he wasn’t above blackmailing her to get her to do his bidding.
“If you don’t f-k me, I’m going to make your life a living hell”. This with Callie wasn’t feelings. He’d treated her like crap in high school. He didn’t for a second believe there was going to be anything more between them. “I used to bully this woman in high school. I used to call her names, pick on her for being bigger.” He couldn’t bring himself to say the word fat. He wasn’t going to tell his brother how he’d used bullying tactics to get her into bed.
He’s after the professor based on his guilt. Callie and himself are playing house, enemies. He wants revenge from the professor for vindication.
It is difficult to admire a thoughtless, despicable toad as a Hero. This is a plot line disguised as romance.

"The Bully's Nanny" is the story of Callie and Drew.
Riiiiiiight.
Classic SC plot with a curvy heroine and an asshole hero. But this time around, he was a bully who made her life miserable and body shamed her. Now he is a divorced single dad, who desperately needs babysitting help, and the heroine applies for the job. He suddenly finds himself super attracted to her, and they soon start banging like bunnies. She's also a good mommy figure, and as expected a great homemaker and chef. There's some ex drama, loads of sex and some reverse abusive past. However it all ends in a HEA.
I'll be honest, I did not like the hero at all and felt no connection with the characters- no sympathy nor lust! I know the kink was hot- but our two authors are already masters at that genre and I honestly expected so much more from them.
It’s been such a long time since I read a story from this author. This is a bully romance. The hero (the jock) and his girlfriend/wife (the head cheerleader) treated the heroine horribly on high school. Verbally and physically (from the ex) abuse and bullying. Now the heroine is back in town and becomes the nanny of the hero’s little girl
-no om drama -ow drama. The ex comes back and verbally abused the heroine again. Refusing to cooperate with the hero -not safe because they knew each other in their youth. Once they become an item in the present, they were not with anyone else -no virgins -hero knows he treated the heroine wrong in the past and he seemed very apologetic -ok epilogue 10 years later
I quite enjoyed this story. I liked the two main characters, he’d bullied her in high school, the plot was predictable with the hero’s crazy estranged wife. I wasn’t keen on the hero’s parents they were too judgemental and I thought they were very interfering they were a couple of we know better mindsets. But overall this was okay, I would have liked to see the lead male suffer a lot more remorse over his past behaviour towards the heroine.
Drew was having a tough time since his abusive soon to be ex wife walked away from him and his daughter. Thanks to his brother he's having a nanny help him out and when she turns up. Its a blast from his past Callie a girl he and his ex use to bully and hes already screwed because he regrets it and feels some type of feelings for her. As for Callie shes shocked but she doesn't let the past ruin her future even if the jerk was mean and called her names. But she loves his child and enjoys being a nanny. The sexual tension is high between them. Until he finally makes a move on her after a small fight about bullies. And their id some hesitation on Callies part but Drew isn't letting her second guess this thing between them. Even when his abusive ex comes back. They have to face that demon and stick together.
Low angst, Ow drama (the ex wife) no om drama, Drama, sexy times, no virgins
Recommend- maybe Cover-⭐⭐⭐
Slow-burn Push away from both No condom domestic abuse Hea Epilogue
Here's a read that never gets old... There's plenty of Drama & Spice to keep ya com'n back again & again, cuz Sam Crescent creates Sizzling Fantasies to deliver our HEA's with HEAT, Drama, Hunky characters, & all the feels we need in our Smexxy RoMANce!
This book has so many layers that I already want to read it again to see what I missed the first time. The author really did a fantastic job with these characters, she made them very realistic and she made them both face the past to be able to embrace their future. I love how she merged the bully and the nanny, she brought an awareness to the many facets of bullying that most people overlook. And I just really enjoy her nanny series, this one is certainly a jewel in her crown. I can’t wait to read the next book she writes.
I don't read a lot of "bully" romances because they tend to be really cruel but whenever Sam Crescent writes one, I get it! This is another hit for me. I loved how the heroine is the kind of woman who isn't weak or a doormat but it still tempted by the bully from her past. He may have been a jerk to her but times change and even bullies deserve a second chance. He knows what he did in high school was wrong and he owns up to it! Wonderful story, a wonderful second chance and I adored the little girl. She kind of stole the show in some parts! There was some OW drama when the ex came back to town but it was quickly taken care of. One of my favorites in this series!!!
She was a good warm soul and the H was a bully and steamrolling guy, but not in a good way. And I seriously considered that it was dubcon situation when the H first having intercourse with h.
There were few things in the book that didn't sit well for me, especially on the H and his family character/personalities. Well, maybe I just personally didnt click with the story and this was not my cup of tea. That was too bad though, I used to like Ms. Crescent's book because she always had that emotional twist that other books usually were lacking. I missed the day when she wrote "Convict" and a few of early her shifter series.
No virgin Bully, possibly dub-con No OM, OW - just deranged emotional ex-wife HEA Overall score: 2.5 emotional ride stars
Astonishing, is words I wouldn't think of using to describe this book but here I am using it. Not only was this different then what I am used to from this author, but the story she created was not only amazing it was different. There was history there that he was her high school bully and she was a victim but she survived. While in society most men do not report abuse because of how it will look, this book question does question the gender roles of abuse. While it is in the background, it does play a major role in the story. While the title may say "The Bully's Nanny" the title does not do it justice because it does not take part in high school where most storylines happen with the bullying. There is no flashback as to what kind of torment he put her through. He knows he was an asshole and he understands with one look of what if it was his daughter being picked on. It does stick to the alpha loves his woman.
I know bully romance is all the rage these days. But I'm not sure it's this author forte. No grovel. But the h was in heat and panting as usual so why bother.
Drew was the biggest jerk jock in high school. He had tormented Callie. When he had to raise his 4 yr. old daughter Meghan, he needed help. Callie was a great nanny. She never thought she would be given a job working for her high school bully. It always amazes me that the bully never actually noticed the person he tormented till he sees her again away from school. Now she is all grown up and Callie isn’t going to back down. From enemies to friends to lovers. I love Drew’s brother Callum. He was no nonsense. He went right to the heart of the issue every time. He wanted his brother happy and made sure that he was moving on. It was tough for these two to forget the past but they did it. They were able to move forward. Tilly the ex-wife/bully was a pain. But a point that was made was that domestic violence be it a man or woman lashing out, is still violence and should always be reported. No one should take abuse.
°Non virgin MCs °Celibate heroine °Switching POVs °Enemies to lovers °Neither were with others after meeting again °Single dad - he had a drunken night with his daughter's mother, they didn't love each other he only married her because he thought that was the right thing to do °There's no cheating between the MCs but when they started having sex he was still married (he'd been trying for a year to divorce his wife but she didn't want to sign the divorce papers) °No OM drama °OW drama caused by the hero's wife/ex-wife °No separation °Mention of domestic abuse - the hero's wife was very violent during their marriage (he never hit her) and it was mentioned that she also left bruises on their daughter °Intimate scenes only between hero and heroine °Epilogue: 10 years later

This was my first book by Sam Crescent and I was not disappointed. Drew was Callie's high school bully now years later he's in need of a nanny and guess who is the best nanny but the girl he use to torment. Callie is not going to let their past stand in the way of her job and this Dad is in serious need of some help. Callie is also able to help Drew's four year old daughter Meghan who is also facing some of her own troubles. Drew gets time to reflect on how he treated Callie in highschool and it throws him for a loope. The chemistry between them is pretty instant even with their past and these two will give you what your looking for in a romance. I'm excited to read more books by this awesome author.
Let me explain. I gave this a 5-star because (1) I'm familiar with Sam Crescent's writing and knew what to expect going in, (2) I enjoyed the story, and (3) the sex is always great. Sam isn't one of those brilliant writers with in-depth stories (that's not an insult). They're always quick and FUN. I enjoy reading a quick steamy book before bed. The sex in her books are always good. The stories are all similar but ya know what - I don't care. If you're looking for something fun and sexy - this is the author for that. When I read Sam's books, I know exactly what to expect and every one of them delivers to me. To me, that earns her a 5-star.
Two people who fall in love with each other the second time around while getting over their no so good history together. I also liked the little bit of twistedness that SC threw in when he bullied her to be with him. SC made it sweeter when the FMC had dung in her proverbial claws on throwing the bullying back at him. I wish there had been a little more of that but over all I liked it as it is.
These are the books SC writes that I wish were longer because I don’t want it to end. Enjoy.
I really loved this book. Not for the obvious bullying, but that forgiveness is always a possibility and sometimes with forgiveness there are second chances. And any abuse whether male to female or female to male is unacceptable, no excuses. I found the storyline really sweet, emotional and captivating with some drama and violence. Loved the characters. Drew obviously not very nice in his younger years sees the error of his ways and is a changed man. Loving man. Callie, what a sweetie. Such a a forgiving woman, not only forgives her bully but marries him. Overall a enjoyable read.

Abuse is abuse, no matter the persons colour, gender or age and whether your human or god creatures..’IT IS NOT OK’ This story highlights that and the irony about the whole situation. To me it was deep and I want to thank the author for writing it ..because in the real world, sometimes it doesn’t happen that way ..but the message in this read says to me ..it doesn’t have to if you got awesome support by the hero/ heroine, family, friends, agencies and most importantly yourself because only you can start the process of healing.
I really did enjoy this book .. It dealt with a lot , like the husband being abused by the wife , but he bullied callie all through school ruthlessly, how did she just forgive him ?? And what kind of person was he that he thought she was going to be mean to his daughter because he was a dick to her ? Who thinks like that .. But with that being said I did enjoy this book and it was sexy and hot and made you think
One star missing because H Drew even if he showed remorse he never groveled, hence I find it unbelievable how easy h Callie just forgives him, and starts a relationship with him based on some extra bulling. For all these I would cut 2 stars, but I loved how karma spread its charm in this one and the bully had to experience both abuse and see his daughter receiving from a kid the treatment he used to have for h. I also found his big bro Callum to be a charming sob.
Love this story a lot. It’s more than the usual nanny and father romance. Great story about family, standing up for one’s self and staying pure of heart.
Will check out other works of this author. :) i appreciate the MCs, the kid and the supporting characters. This is surely more than i hope for when i picked on the title. What an amazing surprise 💖
From bully to lover, life has a way of giving you what want, and making something bad turn into something good. I loved that Sam brought out a domestic concern about male abuse by their partner. I had seen this in my own family. It does exist and hurts adults and children.
I love books by Sam Crescent, what I'm not loving is this new trend of charging $3.99 for a "book" under 200 pages. I stopped reading a couple of other authors who make a series of 15 "books" that are even under 100 pages and charging $3.99 each. This is a great disservice to your readers and will cause me to drop you from my reading list as well.
