TWO ONCE THERE is the sequel to TWO ONCE REMOVED where Callie Larson and Jason Cartwright come together again as life continues to move forward and unravel at the same time. Through their journey, more truths uncover as their extended families make their realities more painfully clear.TWO ONCE THERE is an intense, emotional story about taking the step from mid-life, loveless marriage fantasy to reality. Parents, children, friends and geography add to the blend as both Jason and Callie learn more about what a life together would be and how it would affect them and their lives with their families.
I am a fundraiser by trade. I work with many different, wonderful non-profits to help them fully understand their donor audience to better tell their stories. This type of work relies heavily on writing rich content that excites the emotions to capture financial support. I use the same approach when writing stories. I hope you like them.
This 2nd book in the trilogy from Milo Hayes shows improvement in his writing style. He is more expansive with details of characters and scenery. However, the whole book basically takes place over one week and his first book took place over one weekend. I'm enjoying the are they aren't they storyline of Callie and Jason yet thrown in there are many other "C" female names and it seems too crowded. The male characters are ignorant at best and disappointing. I'm going to finish the third book in the series because I'm dedicated like that as a reader, but honestly, I'm looking forward to being done with this storyline.
Great book, beautifully written. I loved Jason and Callie in book #1, but found them hard to like at times in this book. Callie annoyed me with no contact with Jason for many months but expects him to be sitting on his deck waiting for her when she shows up. Jason is a jerk for allowing Clara to drive Callie's car. They seem to be no longer on the same wave length. I did love how Jason acted at the end. He's a class act. I can't wait to read more in book #3.
