Tracks & Flashbacks is Book 9 in the Mitzy Moon series and I have to say I think the best so far!
I do love this series, and this one was quite the ride!

Mitzy and Sheriff Harper take a trip to Arizona to try and solve a cold case, not just any cold case though. The case of her mother's death that may or may not have been a homicide.

I love Mitzy's character, and she has really grown over the last several books. This was an emotional read, but also so well written with laughter along the way. I think it's safe to say we learn why Mitzy is the way Mitzy is and our past truly does impact who we become as an adult.

I was excited as always to see her romantic relationship and how it has progressed with Erick.
Though not physically on the trip it was so fantastic to see Silas , Ghost-Ma and the amazing Pyewacket get involved. That was brilliant on the author's part to let them be part of the story because those are some fantastic secondary characters and I definitely would of missed them if they weren't involved.

The mystery was multi-layered, complex and well personal to Mitzy which added an additional complexity.

This is a great book and series that I highly recomend .

This is my favorite to date of the Mitzy Moon Series. In this book, Sheriff Harper and Mitzy are off to Arizona. Mitzy has learned that her mother’s death may have been a murder. Though it is now a cold case she is determined to seek justice for her mom.
This book was an emotional one. As you can imagine, just finding out that a loved one was murdered will wreak havoc on your heart. Add in that you were only a child when it happened and it threw you into the foster care system. One can believe this may well be the most difficult sleuthing our heroine will have done. Over the last eight books we have watched Mitzy grow into a very different person from that first book. While this has been a wonderful journey to witness, I couldn’t help but wonder what had given Mitzy that chip of ice in her heart. Reading this book it becomes crystal clear. The sarcasm that held the tinge of icy anger was pain. Don’t worry. The story isn’t a downer. There are some comical moments as well as scary ones.
The book, apart from being an intriguing mystery, gives wonderful insight into Mitzy that makes us appreciate all the more her personal growth. We can celebrate additional progress in her relationship with Erick. Silas, Ghost-Ma and Pyewacket are all a part of the story too. I absolutely love that the author found a way to keep them involved. So many times when a main character or two leave the normal setting, all the extra characters we love are left out of it. I was super happy to see them supporting Mitzy and helping her throughout the time she was in Arizona.
If you haven’t read any of the series, I really hope you will. The first book, I didn’t much care for Mitzy. Now she is like a beloved member of my family. So if you find yourself not liking her much, stay with it. Give her a chance. Once you start seeing her thaw out I’m certain you will be hooked too. She is still sarcastic, (something I adore about her), but it is tempered by love and happiness. The story is ongoing but so is life. The books are fairly quick to read so you can catch up fast. If you are already reading the series, this is the one book you definitely do not want to miss.

This is so far my favorite book of the series. You get a good insight of what Mitzy has been holding inside and living with for the past 11 years. She and Sheriff Erick take a trip to Arizona to try to figure out what really happened to Mitzy Mom. It is a wonderful story and I read the entire book in one day because it was just too good to put down. I hope you will agree with me when you get the opportunity to read it for yourself.

My favorite in the series so far. Mitzy and Sheriff Harper are on a road trip back to Mitzy’s past. The two are headed back to Arizona to investigate the cold case of Mitzy’s mom. Although Mitzy is leaving her Ghost-ma and Pyewacket back in Pin Cherry Harbor, she finds a way to keep them involved in her investigation with video conference equipment.

Even though this is an emotional trip for Mitzy she still manages to keep her snarky personality that we all love. The mystery is well written and kept me guessing until the end. Mitzy and Sheriff Harper grow much closer through this shared journey and I think Mitzy is seeing she can let him know a little more of the real Mitzy.

I listened to the audio version of the book. The narrator is wonderful at bringing the story and the characters to life. She really captures each characters’ personality. She has a pleasant voice that allows you to lose yourself in the story.

All thoughts and opinions are my own, and in no way have I been influenced by anyone.

Wow, the emotions were real!

For this book Trixie Silvetale takes Mitzy and Sheriff Eric (To-Hot -To Handle) Harper out of Pin Cherry Harbour.
Taking Mitzy back to Arizona that was never quite home after her mother died a decade before.
In the last book Eric reached out to the police in Arizona to see if he could get a picture of Mitzys mum. However instead of giving Mitzy a keepsake he opened a can of worms, Mitzy always believed her mother died in an accident, instead she discovers her mum was murdered, and it is unsolved.
Eric not only surprises Mitzy with her mum's personal effects and story, knowing his girlfriend the way he does, he offers to go with her (someone has to keep her safe!) and so the investigation begins!

This was amazing. my emotions were everywhere, I was angry, I was sad, As a mother I broke my heart and as a daughter I broke my heart, as Mitzy's friend.... I wanted retribution!!!

It was interesting to see Mitzy away from Pin Cherry Harbour, I think it has made her realise how much more than just being an heiress she has gained in Pin Cherry Harbour. So much than just money, everyone in Pin Cherry Harbour now has a piece of Mitzy's heart and after losing her mother that must be scary as I bet she has not let anyone in for fear of them leaving, and Trixie really get this across to us without saying it.

I love all the characters in this book, from Mitzy to Tally, Eric to ghost-ma, the star of the book though the one who steals the show is Pyewacket the cereal eating, bringer of clues caracal cat! Showing his rusty sheriff badge over camera to Mitzy.... Absolute class!! I love that cat.

Trixie Silvertale says at the end of her books that as long as we are reading she is writing, well Trixie best get writing cause I am reading!!!

(Trixie if you are reading this please bring out the "Mitzy Moon Snark T-Shirt range", so far I have wanted to but everyone she has worn to date!

This is book 9 in the Mitzy Moon series, If you havent I highly recommend you read book 1 Tracks and Flashbacks, You will love it!

Tracks and Flashbacks takes Mitzy and Erick out of Pin Cherry Harbor and into Mitzy's Arizona past. Mitzy and Erick are on a mission to find out what really happened to Mitzy's mom. As they begin their investigation, what was supposed to be the most frozen of cold cases turns burning hot!
I loved learning more about Mitzy and her early life. I also love the slow burn between Mitzy and Erick. It is frustratingly authentic. I wasn't sure how Trixie Silvertale was going to do it, but I loved the way Ghostma and Pyewacket were able to be part of the story.
The Mitzy Moon series is consistently one of the best series of cozy mysteries I have ever read. The storytelling, the mysteries, the characters, and the world-building all have me clamoring for more, more, more!

I really enjoyed this book. It made me laugh and cry. Mitzy heads back to Arizona with Sherrif “too hot to handle” to find out about her mother’s murder. As soon as they start looking their tires are slashed and people are acting fishy. Mitzy starts having flashback and remembering more about her mom. Her relationship with Sherif Harper seems to be advancing nicely too. She gets a final message from her mom which seems to comfort her. This was my favorite so far. I highly recommend this book and this series!

Wow! Trixie has done it again. Every time I think I have a favorite book in this series, she blows me away with the next installment of Mitzy. This book was emotional, sweet, mysterious, and at times hilarious. I loved learning more about Mitzy's life, seeing her open up more with sheriff too hot to handle, and witnessing Pye's amazing awesomeness.
I highly recommend this series for young adults and adults who want a fun fast cozy mystery.

I have read & enjoyed every book in this series, this one is my favorite so far. While I love Pin Cherry, it was great to see a glimpse of what Mitzys life was like in AZ. She & Erick go on a quest to find out what really happened to her mother all those years ago. I laughed, I cried, I really loved this one! I look forward to more.

I thought the last book was my favourite so far - then I read this.

Mitzy Moon is one of my favourite sleuths and what makes her so special is the amazing team she has behind her. Book 9 was something else. I loved the fact that Mitzy and Erick go off together and have such a great relationship and understanding. Their bond grows continually, their passion simmers along and now, like all the other characters they are really 'real'. I'm rooting for them.

In this episode, Mitzy Moon is off to her roots when it seems her mother's death was not an accident. She has blocked off so much of her painful past and childhood it makes it very difficult for her to face up to things. However, if she is to get to the bottom of what really happened then she has to face the skeletons in her cupboard and the nasties; prepare for emotional wallops.

I'm not going to talk about the plot or give away anything. What I will say is it is a rollercoaster of feelings mixed with some great detecting work with the help of Mitzy's growing gifts aided and abetted by Silas. Pyewacket is showing a human side, even being nice to Erick. The cat knows much more than any feline should.

We just know there is so much more to unravel and digest along the way as everything, little by little continues to evolve. I'm looking forward to the next book already. I'm so glad to be part of the ARC team reading this fantastic series just a tad ahead of the general public! Thank you.

Trixie has done it again with a book that is just about impossible to put down until the very end! I again can only give it 5 stars but it deserves many more!
I encourage young adult and adult readers to discover this series!! You will love the characters as
you get introduced to them within these pages. With all the interaction it’s hard to think that they only exist on paper because they seem so real!!

Reading provides an escape from the daily doom and gloom of the media and Trixie provides a wonderful escape into her world for her readers! I encourage you to start at the beginning of the series so you don’t miss any of the excitement!

This book takes Mitzy back to where she grew up in Arizona but she is accompanied by none other than her dream man in Sheriff Erick Harper! They have returned to find out what really happened to Mitzy’s mom and bring those responsible to justice!

This series just continues to get better and better and somewhere in a future book I predict Mitzy will tell her boyfriend, the sheriff, about her psychic powers and her ability to see her ghost grandma and the uncanny abilities of the one and only Pyewacket!

Do something good to yourself today-pick up a copy of this series and start it today. Find out all the fun and excitement you’ve been missing! I’m sure you’ll want to share the news with your reading friends that you’ve just discovered an author that they will love as much as you!!

Trixie, in the parlance of Mitzy’s mom, your books are “spot on”!! I can’t thank you enough for the wonderful entertaining hours spent enjoying your wonderful series!

Wow we are already on book 9 and I am still enjoying this fun series so much, it is lighthearted crime solving with a bit of romance thrown in and usually set in the lovely Pin Cherry ambience however this time around Mitzy and Erick travel back into Mitzy's past to unravel a close to heart crime. Erick gave Mitzy a present, but in so doing he awakened Mitzy's need to get to the bottom of her mother's death. She becomes even more emotionally involved when she finds out that her mother's death was no accident, but a cold blooded murder which had never been solved. So as the great sleuth she is, and using her extra sensory perceptions to their limit, consulting with her mentor and friend back home she goes all out to do what the police and justice system had given up on. Erick and Mitzy spend many weeks away from home and though she misses her ghost-ma and her beloved feline, Pye Wacket these also give their input over the internet. I loved that we went back into Mitzy's troubled past as this book provided some needed closure for her and filled in some blanks regarding her life before Pin Cherry. Also going back to a past where she was penniless and now is an heiress felt so satisfying. I loved this book and look forward to book 10 as it seems I just cannot have enough of this series.

Fast-paced. A real page-turner. “Tracks and Flashbacks” is one of my favorites in this series. This series just keeps getting better with each installment.

This installment was different as it did not take place in Pin Cherry Harbor (aka Almost Canada). At the end of Book 8, Mitzy learns that her mother, who died when Mitzy was only a child, was actually murdered. So Mitzy must return to Arizona, where she was living – or perhaps better called “surviving” – when she was notified that her grandmother had died and left her an inheritance. She must find out the truth behind her mother’s death. And love interest Eric just happens to have some vacation time and offers to go with Mitzy. Mitzy is just as sassy as usual, but there is more emotional depth in this one. With Eric at her side, she can finally face some loose ends she walked away from at the beginning of the series.

While I did miss Ghost-ma, Pye, Odell, and Silas – characters I love so dearly – they were involved remotely in the story. And for small town Pin Cherry Harbor, it just isn’t good for the tourists to have so many murders there.

I love observing the romance between Mitzy and Eric slowly blossom. They are just so sweet! But it is becoming harder for Mitzy to hide her special “gifts” from Eric.

If you are looking for a sweet quick cozy mystery read, I HIGHLY recommend this series.

I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy from the author. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

It’s hard to believe that it hasn’t even been a year since Mitzy Moon inherited her grandmother’s bookstore. She’s gotten close to her father and especially Grams (in her ghostly form). All of the main characters are unique, flawed, and loveable. Mitzy is smart, hilarious, and determined. Grams is a force of nature but she and Pyewacket have taken a backseat in this book. Erick, the sheriff, is an amazing man and in love with Mitzy.

Mitzy and Erick decide to try to solve the cold case of Mitzy’s mother. Mitzy had been told that she’d died in an accident but Erick found out that wasn’t true. When they go to Arizona together, they do find more evidence but will it lead them to the killer?

Being together in one room and working together brings Mitzy and Erick closer, but they are both determined to take things slowly. I love that! Friends first and lovers later is the best way for a relationship to stand the test of time. One problem, though, is that Erick is beginning to realize that Mitzy’s “hunches” are more than hunches. I wish she’d come clean. He obviously loves her, and her psychic abilities shouldn’t change the way he feels. He already suspects, he doesn’t seem bothered at all from what he’s seen, and he’s Erick.

Tracks & Flashbacks is the ninth book in the Mitzy Moon Mysteries series and my absolute favorite so far! I was not ready for it to end. I need more.

Things are heating up for our favorite Pin Cherry Harbor psychic and her handsome sheriff boyfriend when they decide to head to Phoenix to solve the cold case of Mitzi's mother. Will she finally share her psychic abilities with Eric or will she continue to try to keep her special gifts under wraps. Will they be able to solve her mother's murder or will she become the next victim of the brutal killer? Lot's of witty banter, fun disguises and sleuthing to be had while Mitzi tries to keep her hands off the hottie sheriff! The narrator does an outstanding job of bringing the characters to life and enhancing the well plotted storylines and I absolutely can't wait to listen to the next book in the series! If you like a good paranormal mystery then you need to cue this one up and start listening today!

On her way to Arizona with boyfriend, Erick Harper, Pin Harbor’s sheriff, this is not a vacation but an investigation to find who had her mother killed years ago. After years of thinking her mother had died in an accident, Erick recently discovered that she may have been killed to silence her. As a confidential informant for the Phoenix Metro Police Department, it seems her cover was blown, and she was killed to suppress whatever evidence she had. Unfortunately, the murder was unsolved. When their tires are slashed and bullets begin to fly, Mitzi and Erick are not sure they will survive the investigation. I love, love, love Mitzi and her adventures. Please, let there be more books in this series! This is my honest, voluntary review of an advanced reader copy of this book.

At the end of Book Eight, you may recall Sheriff Too-Hot-to-Handle had just uncovered that Coraline Moon – Mitzy’s mom – had been murdered. AND he’d offered to go back to Phoenix with Mitzy to get to the bottom of that cold case.

Heading to what ostensibly was her home for many years, Mitzy plans to return in style. That involves a First-Class Suite for the flight from Almost-Canada, and topnotch accommodations in a luxury hotel once they arrive in Phoenix. They’re off to a great start.

Well, friends, let me tell you that along with the temptations that “rooming with the Sheriff” will foist on Mitzy, Tracks & Flashbacks hits our heroine with painful memories, amazing insights, and a cold case that has tentacles reaching through intrigue, deception, and corruption. Far more than they had bargained for. Not knowing who – if anyone – they can trust, Erick and Mitzy find themselves running for cover. Though Ghost-Ma, Pyewacket, and Silas aren’t nearby physically, the wonders of technology make their invaluable input and advice almost as easily reached.

Silvertale’s characters have long since found their way to being among my favourites. Tracks & Flashbacks is a stellar entry into this series, with a great back story and – finally – some closure for Ms Moon as far as her mother and her death are concerned.

A fast-paced, nonstop read, Tracks was another Moon tale that I simply kept reading to the end. I loved this one – caveat, have tissues ready – and settle in, you won’t stop till it’s done.

[I was fortunate to have received an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I was not, however, required to write a review. The opinions expressed herein are freely given and entirely my own.]

I really enjoyed this book because it wasn't quite like the others in this series. I thought this book still had humor, which is always a plus, in my opinion, but it also provided us a different side of Mitzy. We got to see her more vulnerable side, not only the parts dealing with her mother, but also the parts dealing with Erick and opening up to him. I think in future books, we will see their relationship grow into something unbreakable; that could just be my wishful thinking, of course.

Overall, I adore this series and the characters in it. I liked that this book brought a little more emotion to it, and I think that future books will see Mitzy continue to grow.

The BEST Mitzy Moon mystery yet! Set aside an afternoon to read this book, because if you start reading before bed, you'll be up all night! I literally couldn't put it down!

At the end of the previous book Mitzy found out some disturbing facts about her mother's death and resolved to return to Arizona to discover the truth. Sheriff Harper accompanies Mitzy to provide his support and expertise.

From the moment their plane takes off the action never stops! There are good cops and bad cops, disguises, seedy motels, burner phones, hints from Pyewacket and so much more! Mitzy and Erick follow the clues to a surprising and satisfying conclusion.

I honestly couldn't put it down and I was so sad when I finished the book. I cannot wait for the next adventure! Well done Trixie Silvertale!!

The best Mitzy so far. But I tend to think that for each new book in this series! If you love magic and mystery, you really need to try this series.

Mitzy just discovered that her mother, who she thought was accidentally killed when she was eleven, was actually murdered! Mitzy and her new beau Sherriff Erick have solved a lot of crimes in Pin Cherry Harbor. Can they take the team on the road and solve her mother’s murder?

They run into problems from the very first day. Someone doesn’t want them digging into this cold case. Their tires are slashed, someone shoots through their hotel door and Mitzy is happy she brought along a disguise.

Is it just the people Mitzy’s mother was informing against? Or could they be dealing with a crooked cop?

After having received her mother's belongings, some ten years after her death, Mitzy and her boyfriend, Sheriff Eric Harper, go back to her home town of Sedona, Arizona. They intend to find out exactly what happened, as the cause of death didn't add up. It would seem that she had been murdered. Mitzy and Eric enlist the help of a Sedona detective to find out what they could and see if they could bring the killer to justice.

Yet another fun book from this series! Mitzy and Erick leave Pin Cherry Harbor to go to Arizona and investigate the death of her mother. Along the way, they become even closer. What she discovers could let her know how her mother died or get them killed. Ghostma and Pye help out via a phone she sets up for them. But, she can't let Erick know she's communicating with her cat and grandmother's ghost. And, it doesn't hurt that she goes under the name of "Darla" after donning one disguise. Lol. I love this book and this series. I am looking forward to the next installment.

I am loving this series!

Mitzy and Erick have left Pin Cherry Harbor, and while Grams, Pye, Silas, and the rest are missed, the storytelling still holds up to the move. The investigation into the murder of Mitzy's mother is compelling, complex, and emotional; the twists keep the reader engaged, and the wrap-up is satisfying. The descriptions of Arizona bring the locale to life; this author is masterful!

I really like how Mitzy is taking her relationship with Erick slow. She wants to do it right and not rush things. How could she not fall in love with him when he starts to help her find out about her mother's murder. He is even taking vacation time to go with her to Arizona to solve the cold, cold case. She starts remembering things that happened while there and they unearth some information that leads to a dirty cop. Who can they trust?

This is by far my favorite in the series! It was such a great plot. She goes back to Arizona to solve her mom’s murder. I thought I would miss having some of my favorite characters interacting with her in the book, but I didn’t have to go without. The author found a totally unique and quite fabulous way to bring them into the story too. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. This is by far one of my favorite new series out.

I was wondering how Ghost-ma, Pyewacket and Silas were going to make an appearance since Mitzi and Erick were going to Arizona. Brining them into the story was done beautifully! Pye is such a smarty! He really came through with the clues and using the video chat set up. This book was a tear jerker too! Learning about Mitzi’s mom was just so incredible. But there were some great laugh out loud moments too. I don’t know how, but again, this book was even better than the last one!

Finding out your parent died of unsavory circumstances, this intrepid psychic investigator once again baffles law enforcement with the help of her alchemical family lawyer and talking caracal. Let the fun begin! These characters have truly captured my attention, and this author ensures my entertainment level is kept high! Once again, I couldn’t figure out the actual culprit...exactly as it should be! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
