I was disappointed. I have been waiting and anticipating this story and had such high hopes. These were the two characters I was MOST excited to see. It could have been a great story, but the unrealistic ending with the “timeline” was way too much. Plus (without giving too much away) you can’t claim to love someone and put them through that kind of hell, and with multiple people! There’s so much the character(s) could have done to avoid it all.
I went into this with such high hopes and was completely let down. Ryan and Nova have been on our radar for years and I was truly hoping this was going to be epic but I just haven’t liked the last few books the author has written. Knowing that Ciana is next I’m sure I will read it and hope for the best but this series is nothing like it used to be…
What I liked: I love Ryan(H) and how much he loves Nova(h). I also liked how strong Nova was.
What I didn’t like: I hated how no one believed it was her that was trying to get a hold of them (how stupid were they all not to try and see if it was really her or not) I also wished we got more of them together.
How hot was it: 2 out 5
Triggers: h is kidnapped and they all think she is dead. Also, h’s brother tells the h that the H is sleeping with his assistant but he isn’t.
Final thoughts: I’m not going to lie I was disappointed in this book. I was so excited to get Ryan and Nova’s book and it just wasn’t what I expected. I think the whole not believing it was her ruined it for me. I definitely will read the next book.

I really wanted to like this book, but it was just so unbelievable. The second half of the book was just too much. While I didn’t like Nova at all, my biggest disappointment was Felicity. There was no way she would have done what she did to Jet. BTW, where was Raven in all of this? She would have kicked all their butts for pulling a stunt like that lol. I don’t want to give any detail because I don’t want to spoil for others. I love Terri Anne’s books. This one just wasn’t for me.
OMG this author I always enjoy but she upped her game with this one. She killed it with the uniqueness of this telling. I was not expecting it to go where it did. Yikes.
I am madly in love with not only Ryan and Nova but the AMAZING journey they took us on. Experiencing their story that started for them as children is pure magic. Sigh. “All the feels” is happening.
This story is an awesome standalone but you are cray cray if you don’t want to read about all the side characters. Yes a lot of them have their own book and telling. YOU’RE WELCOME! I know you will love the mafia, MC, and rockers worlds this author tackles in all her stories as much as I do.
In this book you can plan for plenty of heat eventually (wink), MIND BLOWING angst, and swoon worthy love. EEK. This book is the best. HAPPY READING EVERYONE! XOXO
Heartless Savage was the sixth book in the Angel’s Halo MC Next Gen series by Terri Anne Browning.
Ryan Vitucci and Nova Hannigan. Ryan was the son of Anya and Cristiano (Vitucci Mafiosos series, book four) and Nova was the daughter to Jet and Felicity (Reclaimed, Angel’s Halo MC series book four). They met when he was eight and she was three. We knew from previous books that they were besties and would likely ultimately be together one day, but in previous books she was still underage. In Heartless Savage Nova was approaching her eighteenth birthday but to set the stage, Browning took us back to the beginning in order to get to the present and future.
This book was packed with tons of events. I enjoyed the overall story, but there were so many different moving parts to the plot that I was confused at times. It also went in an unexpected direction. I wasn’t particularly fond of the direction - or at least the length of time that passed before a resolution, nor was it believable, but I did enjoy the suspenseful vibe as well as the characters and it was a great afternoon escape.
All in all, it was a another great addition to the series and I can’t wait to see more.
I have been excited for Ryan's book . His parents'book is one of my favourite books but his book no way you can say the same. The plot is flat and predictable . I didn't put my hand on any serious problems. After 70% of this book something happened and it wasn't Ryan or Nova it was his cousin . By the way the only darkness in this book was what happened to his cousin . All their problems could be solved if they talked to each others . According to the blurb he would change completely because of her. I didn't see that at all. Some scenes would be perfect if she added such as Ryan and his grandma or his dad with one of them especially this war because of him. We didn't have that. The whole book is about Anya and Ryan as a protective mother . She should have a scene with their enemies too . So many characters were involved in this book like Cali and Garret , they didn't add anything to the book . NOVA was like superwoman . She left , attacked, she was the owner of illegal business ,no one had seen her....! She was only 17 be reasonable. The worst part first half of the book about their childhood he was 9 she was 3 years I mean I read more than 10 chapters about their childhood why ..?, . Our real story began when she was only 17. I didn't like it because no serious events you want to show their depth of their love as soulmate okay it could one, or three chapters not first have of the book. . I am really disappointed I hope next book for his cousin be better than this one more events and strong dialogue because what happened wasn't easy at all.
This story would have been ok if the unbearable controlling parts of Ryan would have been toned down. I get that in his job he's the boss, but in every other book in this series there is a point where the "alpha" understands that he chose his woman because she is strong and able to not only support him, but take care of herself. There was never that ah-ha moment here. No one could imagine that Nova was capable of taking care of herself, even Anya who trained her. I didn't like how they absolutely didn't investigate the "prank calls" even after Sheena was dead. That really seemed unlike this family. I am just really disappointed with the entire book and I'm not sure if I will be able to continue to support the author with future books if this is becoming the standard.
The first 60% of the book to me could have been shorter. To me it was pointless to have it drag out for so long. We all knew that they loved each other from a young age and already saw bits of it from other books I wish we got to see the training Anya gave her
The book finally got better at chapter 38. Nova is badass. Why this chapter needed a warning - i am not too sure. What I read wasn’t all that graphic. But i tend to lean to darker books.
I am glad this wasn’t like Luca/Violets book and didn’t go that way. That book still leaves a sour taste in my mouth and i wasn’t all that vested in those characters
Just horrible. The story was utterly ridiculous and the h was just awful from childhood to adulthood. She came across as spoilt, rude, obnoxious and full of herself. One of the most selfish and irritating characters I have had the displeasure to read about in a while.
Okay so this book started out great! I mean really great. However, later on in the book it went downhill really fast. The Nova we saw after she killed Ramirez wasn't the sweet girl we all saw in the previous books. Nova never was the type of person to hold a grudge. Why would she waste so much time holding a grudge against her parents and Ryan when they didn't pick her call? THEY ALL THOUGHT SHE WAS DEAD! and if the "bond" between Ryan and her was so strong why did she let him suffer for even one second? why did she force her mother to leave Jet?? Made no sense whatsoever. I thought the author just wanted to fill... pages. Overall great writing and good plot. It could've been wayyy better. Previous books such as Max, Maverick, Gian, Lyric were sooo good. However, this book is better than Violet and Shaw's story. So next time I might skip a few chapters.

Nova and Ryan’s story is finally here and so much more complicated than I expected but oh so worth it❣️Action-packed, suspenseful and addictive are just a few words that come to mind for this story, characters and series and it should definitely not be missed❤️
I'm going to try to kepp the spoilers to a minimum...hopefully.
I have been looking forward to this book since Jet and Felicity's story. I'll admit I was seriously worried after the way TAB screwed Luca over but I loved watching Nova and Ryan grow up together. Ryan has been a favorite since Maffioso King and I have been eagerly waiting for his happily ever after. There is one chapter that really gave me pause because there was a disclaimer at the beginning. Seriously. It said this chapter may be disturbing to some readers. After reading over 50 books by this author and the things she has included in them from torture to gruesome deaths, child abuse and many other things I was hesitant. What could possibly top how Tanner had been found after the explosion? While it was upsetting, I've read worse in these books so I was left a little bewildered. Especially when you, as the reader, know, you KNOW, it has to be staged somehow. It's only a little over halfway through the book so obviously things aren't as they appear.
******SPOILERS **********
After Nova rescues herself she acts like a damn child. Really? Boohoo they couldn't find you. She plays dead for 5 months! And if it weren't for her brother I doubt she would have put Ryan out of his misery before he actually killed himself. He has loved and protected her since she was 3 and she repays him by torturing him. For a full 25% of this book I wanted to shake some sense into her. That is NOT how you treat people you love. She let her mother believe she was dead for 2 months, her brother for 3. Poor Jet lost his baby girl, then his wife disappears, then his son. So as much as I enjoyed the majority of this book I'm pissed that Nova ended up being just as spoiled and self centered as so many of the females in the next gen series. Just once I wish they would fight for their men as hard as the men do for them. There has only been one and that was River. For being raised by such strong, loving parents you'd think thing they'd be more compassionate and loyal to those they supposedly love.
I only loved Ryan more by the end and while Nova is a little badass and finally pulled her selfish head out of her butt, I'm still pissed at her and can't really understand how everyone forgave her so easily after the shock wore off.
Most disappointing book so far! I used to love the rockers series but this book felt so far fetched it was hard to read. I was really looking forward to this book, mainly from the sneak peaks given in previous books but struggled to finish it. In my opinion not the authors finest hour, hopefully the next book is better!
I have to admit I was a little nervous to read this book thinking maybe I hyped it up in my mind to much well to be 100% honest I didn't hype it up near enough
This book is a slow burn from start to finish each chapter more emotionally charged then the last with more ups downs twist turns inns and outs coming at you in every page
Saying expect the unexpected is the best way to prepare you for this incredible read
So far out of the next generation series this book is my favorite book but I can't wait for the next few books in this series
I love the Rocker, MC, Mafia interwoven stories of Terri Anne Browning. This was Ryan and Novas story. I loved Felicity from the Rockers and reading her daughters tale was wonderful plus Jet, her dad from the Mc. . Also we got Anya’s son of the Mafia stories who loved Nova. Jump on in for a great read.
In this book we finally get Ryan Vitucci and Nova Hannigan's story.
In this story we get to see the progression of Ryan and Nova's story. We learn about the first time they met and what that meant to each of them. The bond that started on the first trip is one that you will see grow over the years. When anyone comes to harm Nova Ryan is always the first person to come riding to her rescue. She believes nothing can tear them apart until it seems like something might be. Something neither of them saw coming. Ryan would do anything for the one person who holds his heart and makes him whole. From the moment he met Nova there was something that drew him to her. Years later he is determined to have all of his heart. When it feels like it is being taken from him from the one person he never thought would leave him he will do anything to make things right with her. Can these two get their HEA or will it all have been just a childhood crush that can't last the sands of time?
Holy Cow is this book amazing. It is an absolute must own, must read, must experience. There is so much I want to tell you but I don't want to ruin it for other readers. I will say don't hesitate own this book. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
OMG!! I have been so anxious to read about Ryan and Nova since they were both introduced as practically babies (okay, more so Nova). I knew their story would be tremendous, but the depths for which Nova's character exists is mind blowing. You knew being Raven's niece, she wasn't going to be a wimp. After all, she's grown up around a huge MC family and then her New York relatives are mafia. However, I was blown away by Nova. Her and Ryan's story is steamy and gut wrenching at times, but damn Nova grew up to be a bada**. By the way, Garret isn't one of my favorites. I look forward to reading his and Cali's story in the future. It gives me time to possibly like him.
These next generation in the Angels Halo MC series has been fantastic. I hope we get to read a story about Jack and Kingston. I always wondered with Quinn and Raider's son would be like. Love this series!! Thank you, Terri Anne Browning!!
I was pulled into the story right from the get go and that's where I stayed until I had read every single word that was written. I even got my mini movie playing along in my head. There are twists, turns and surprises waiting for you in the pages of the book. Some surprises are large, while others aren't, some you may even see coming, some may pull on your heart strings and others may hit you square in the face. Each and every surprise holds equal importance within the story. The emotions that the characters go through can be felt, there were a couple of hard times during the course of this book, yes tissues were needed. Terri Anne Browning has once again given us a book that you don't want to put down or finish it. I highly recommend her as an author I personally don't think you will regret
I had been waiting for this book since Nova and Ryan were mentioned... and it did not disappoint! I appreciate how the author started since the beginning and showed age progression as well as adding a trigger warning in the beginning of the chapter for anyone that may be sensitive to those thing. I really liked this story my only criticism is when Nova is alive and she wants to 'punish' her family for not looking for her? That part really annoyed me. How much of an ego must she have that she prioritizes herself in a situation where people believe you are dead and grieving! I will say that alone almost ruined the book but after she got over herself and the storyline progressed I kinda got over it
Angels Halo MC Next Generation book 7. Ryan and Nova. Such a fascinating read. They have been best friends since they were little kids. Their connection and love for one another was gut wrenching good. As they grow up and change so does the way they handle each other. Some bad guys make their plans deviate from being with each other. But they fight any and every thing to be together. Secrets, lies, and miscommunication will take you there. So much drama, disaster twists and turns. Hella angsty with plenty of WTF. Chemistry that is tangible through my kindle. A roller coaster of emotion and adventure that made me laugh, cry and dropped my kindle. Worth it. I love this new author I bumped into. Awesome series.
I ALMOST didn't read this book because of all of the reviews it had at the beginning. I had been looking forward to this book for SO LONG and let me tell you I was NOT disappointed. It was exactly how I pictured it, it was cute, it had a little drama and so much romance. Maybe it's because I reread the Next Gen trilogy again before reading this one but the story was perfect. Heartless savage along with Salvation are my favourite from the series. I'm SO glad I read it even though some of the reviews made me doubt. If you're a fan of the Angel's halo series you'll love this book as well! Give it a shot. ❤️✨
Ok so I’ve waited ages for this book ever since I first read an out Ryan in his dads book. I alway new his story was going to be amazing but this blow all my expectations out the park it was everything I could of wish for and more. Ryan and nova story was powerful and possessive Ryan is full OTT possessive when it comes to nova and they have love each other since they were so young. There were some quite dark bits within this book but I thought it just made it that more powerful. I’m really looking forward to Cianna and bains book and also garret and lis. This book has made me want to reread all the book again
This is slightly different to the rest of the books in the way that it starts but I was glued to the story. It's so much better than a lot of books because you feel you've got value for money as it's long, involved and so compelling to read . I loved it and the characterisation is excellent from the main characters of Ryan and Nova to the supporting ones who are written so well, including Garrett who really isn't someone you can sympathise with and Ryan himself who is complex but endearing. My review hasn't got any spoilers but there are some scenes not for the faint hearted but you do get a warning. An excellent book and well worth reading
Readers that have been following TAB’s MC and Mafioso series have known Ryan and Nova throughout these Next Gen books. Most have met them in her original series as they were introduced to readers. It’s hard to tell a great story and do it justice when you know how important two characters are to your readers. TAB did not disappoint and Heartless Savage provided a laugh, a smile, a couple of tears, but most of all a great read. I did not want it to end. I never do and I’m sad we have to wait for the next book.
I couldn’t or wouldn’t put it down. We have all watched the relationship with Ryan and Nova grow over the years! Ms. Terri out did herself with this one, while I have LOVED all the other books this surpasses all of them. The ride is a wild and fast one, but so worth it till the end. Don’t miss out on the best one of all the MC books as far as I’m concerned!! Thank you Ms. Terri for doing such amazing justice to their story!
