This is an 8th century Dzogchen text providing cutting-edge precepts that has the power to shape mind in the twenty-first century. These verses convey the essence of existential Dzogchen. As mystical poetry ,the verses take on a life of their own, evoking the naked nature of being. No camouflage remains after Dzogchen, in its uncompromising articulation, silences itself – we merge into ineluctable timelessness. This radical exposition impels us to absorb the very finger that is pointing at the moon, precipitating a plunge into the wishfulfilling reality of being. The Circle of Total The Quintessence contains the essence of Everything Is The Circle of Total Illumination, a tantra that covers every aspect of Dzogchen in its full ninety-nine chapters (see Amazon Books). Here thirty-seven selections are extracted and organized to demonstrate the View, Nonmeditation, Conduct and Fruition of Dzogchen in its original all-inclusive medium. The author of the tantra was designated as Garab Dorje; translated into English by Keith Dowman and Tamas Agoc.
