I gave it four because mz. freeman was amazing with characters and dialogue, but in this one I suspect the plot ran away from her. Every twist left me exhausted rather than energized. Still, I wish mz. freeman had continued to write, she had a gift for making the people she wrote about breathe.

It was ok. Their love story is just not up my alley.

There's also rape even if the heroine forgave the hero immediately. And lotsa misunderstandings which is kinda tiring.
