The fifth edition of this classic textbook has been extensively revised, but remains faithful to the principles that established it as a favourite among teachers and students around the world. The book is divided into six theoretical concepts and hydrogen, the s -block, the p -block, the d -block, the f -block, and other topics (the nucleus and spectra). An important aspect of the book is its focus on the commercial exploitation of inorganic chemicals, something other textbooks do not cover, and this coverage has been expanded for the fifth edition. The treatment of the inorganic aspects of environmental chemistry has also been extended.

A prescribed book for my Inorganic Chemistry course. As the title says, it is concise and has EVERYTHING, mind you, almost everything in it. I used it for the other subjects as well.
I especially loved the chapter on the Group 13 elements ( Chapter 12) and also the types of isomerism (pg. 232)

It's just too good to speak about it in mere words. The concepts are explained in a true-to-life, realistic, yet a comprehensible way. If the Fundamentals of Physics is the holy book of Physics, then Concise Inorganic Chemistry is the juggernaut for Chemistry. Never, once, I have set my eyes on such a witty book, and understood it!

There's nothing really concise about this book. It is pretty good for easy-reading chemistry though, since it's not especially technical and is written in a very relaxed style. However, as a result it's not very in depth. It touches on many topics as well. I did a PhD in theoretical chemistry after an undergrad in physics and this book was a laid back way of filling in the gaps.
