Fighting For It

Luna
Five years ago, I saved the world, but no one knows it.

Ten years ago, I nearly destroyed the world’s economy, and some people won’t let me forget it.

I have good friends who are helping me get back on my feet, after I screwed up big time, writing a dangerous piece of malware so I could draw a paycheck.

Graham and Oz are sweeping me off my feet, to help relieve the stress.

When a major tech blog runs an anniversary piece on my mistake, all eyes are pointed at me again.

This time, if I go down, everyone who supports me will go with me. There’s no way I’m letting that happen to my friends. Even if it means walking away from the men I love.

So I had a bit of trouble reading this one. The middle part was boring and I put it down for a long time. I almost quit it, because I wasn't enjoying it. It's weird because the first books in the series were much more engaging. I don't quite understand why it was boring: the stakes seemed high, and I liked Luna and wanted to see her succeed. The middle part which was about working to fix her reputation by going viral was interspersed with scenes that always ended up with Luna embarrassed or shamed. She couldn't go anywhere without people knowing who she was and hating her for it. It became too much, to the point where whenever she went somewhere new, I knew she would end up upset.

The best bit was definitely Act 3 after she realised her mistake and went back to her guys. I also liked seeing Oz and Graham developing their relationship while Luna was gone. It made a nice difference to the usual scenario in this series where the boyfriends were already together and the girl was added. However, I feel that prior to this, this book was the weakest of the series.

I'm glad I finished it, but I did struggle.

⚙️⚙️ONE BEGUILING ADVENTURE⚙️⚙️
Hissing horseflies hal! Allyson rocks this bad boy from the get-go with all the delectable deliciousness to sweeten the deal, delivering some cruel facts, ruthless lessons and relentless drive, launching this gem to staggering heights. A raging vortex full of escapades and fiasco's aplenty, rushing through the arduous struggles and challenging triumphs, attentive to the dramatic twists and unique turns unfolding, as secrets are confessed, revelations are disclosed and vows are pledged, launching this baby to life flawlessly. Perception and attributes in each thread you unravel with every page, your lured into this tangled web so snug and precise, exposing the soaring ups and agonizing downs, breathtaking in it's simplicity and inspiring in it's depth, wrapping this jewel up sleek, shiny and tight. The characters, banter, interactions and charged atmosphere are realistic, complex and genuine with traits and qualities, add depth and diversity, blending into charismatic personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions that feel as though you were transported to ground zero with them. Remarkable job Allyson, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.

Great story about a woman who makes a mistake that gets her sentenced to probation and forbidden to do that which she loves to do until her sentence is over. While taking some additional training courses to give her more experience and a chance for a job, Luna falls for her mentor who is a decade older than her 29 years.

Oz, or Cole, has found himself falling for Luna, but is determined to hold off telling her as long as she is working for him. He feels enough like a dirty old man without adding a possible sexual harassment charge to his resume. Her apprenticeship is finally over and he will soon get his chance to try and win her. When she tells him that she has tracked down the professor that was charged along with her in the hack that had gotten her arrested. She has been forbidden from contact with him during her probation, but that was now over and she wanted to see Graham again. Oz insists on taking her to his house in case he is feeling vindictive towards her since she was the one that drug him into the hacking incident.

Graham has missed Luna. He has not tried to find her since her probation ended - for her own good. He is too old for her and she doesn't need him coming back to haunt her. When he opens his door and sees her he isn't sure how to feel. When the man with her accuses him of ruining Luna's life he is stunned, but she defends him and tells her friend to back off. He and Luna go out for coffee together and they fall back into their old comradely like nothing ever happened. She finally gets up the nerve to kiss him and he returns the kiss - until he stops and tells her he's sorry but he can't get involved with her. But can he stay away?

Let's just say these three will find themselves entangled and Luna will feel guilty when Oz's and Graham's connection to her brings them grief. I found it to be a good lesson on what happens when cancel culture rears its ugly head and decides who should be shunned for something that they did years before and includes those who know the person in the cancelling. So if you feel Luna and her guys are treated unfairly, then check your own attitudes as they pertain to current events in this country and be sure you are not a part of the problem.

I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review if voluntary.

Luna’s finally managed to move on from the colossal error in judgement she made ten years ago. Finished with her probation and searching for work, will she discover that the tech industry has forgiven her? Or, will she always be defined by that infamous deed?

I liked Luna’s personality and unique sense of style. She was funny, intelligent, skilled, gifted and unpretentious. I enjoyed her fun, somewhat geeky and steamy relationship with Cole and Graham, but especially the deep connection that each forged with the other two. This well written story is a quick read with likeable and well-defined characters. There’s plenty of drama, angst, super-hot chemistry, some humour, sexy innuendoes, and dirty talk along with several seriously steamy M/F, M/F/M and M/M encounters. I received an Advance Reader Copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I always love Allyson Lindt’s books, and this was no exception. I love Luna, Oz, and Graham - I love Luna’s positive attitude and her inner chibi-Luna made me laugh. I love how Oz is serious and it is hard to tell when he’s joking. Graham is a fantastic mix of funny, geeky, and sweet. Like always, I wish there was more! I would love to see more insight into each character and who they are, maybe a bit more of the history between them. I especially want to more details about Luna’s crime. However, I’m not sure Allyson could write a book long enough for me to consider it enough...

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

If you love older guys...

And I do. But besides being a sensual sexy hot read, this story is also about letting go of the past and ignoring haters and accepting the good things that come into your life without question. I like the way this story evolves. None of our trio has been involved with each other until they all sort of coalesce. Even though both Cole and Graham are around ten years older than Luna (and she looks younger than she is) they treat her like the super intelligent woman she is. This tale has all of the “feels”, plus a lot of geek speak and gamer fun making for a modern take on romance.

It was a nice wrap up to the series, I do wish the other characters were more involved in each of the books as I really enjoy that aspect she's created this whole little world and honestly its pretty realistic to the industry. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Luna but she did end up growing on me, I however did enjoy Cole a lot a lot. I wish the series could continue though, I just am a greedy little reader always wanting more from this group. I want these books to be longer because again she's so good at writing them the characters and their story like could be so much more, however I suspect leaving me wanting more is kinda the point.

Main Characters: Luna, Graham, and Oz
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.

This is one of my favorite genres. MFM. I have read about 8 books by Allyson and I have loved them all. She incorporates a lot of gaming into each book and while I know absolutely nothing about gaming I do still love the books. This is a contemporary ménage with a HEA ending. I always have a hard time choosing which m/c I like the best.

A nice end to a fun series

Was the book perfect? No. Did it contain a few irritating typos? Yes. Was it a good read. Yes, it was fun. Whilst not as steamy as some of her other work, the nerdy romance was fun. I did find myself hoping for a slightly different dynamic when the term poly arose and I’ll confess to being disappointed when nothing came of it. But still it was a fun story and a nice conclusion to the coop series.

I've enjoyed all of the books from this series. None of them are particularly long but I found this one extra short and it left me wanting me. Would love to read more about all of the couples interacting with each other. Whilst I love the stories and the steamy scenes, it does seem unrealistic that this many people can all be in poly relationships from the same friendship circle. I'm glad that their family/friends etc are accepting of it though.

This is a menage with some tech/gamer heavy themes. I as a non-tech person felt like some of it was over my head and I felt myself skipping over parts. The actual romance itself was sweet and a little hot but honestly not as smoldering as I had expected. Also while everything works out in the end it felt like the problems they were dealing with just got dropped and disappeared. Usually love Allyson Lindt books but this one was more a like.

Fierce Fae Felon
Read in "Heat for the Holidays: A Limited Edition Menage Collection." The slow burn angst recovering from past poor judgement harassed by societal misconceptions and the need to protect others isn't working for Luna. Ruining Graham's life hadn't been intended, but how could she possibly make it better? Now that Cole was able to finally get a taste of her, will his self imposed hermit allow sexy genius Graham near when Luna decides to leave them for their own good?

Want a bit of sexy romance on the wild side? Actually also well done storytelling with strong characters and genuine emotions? Then you never have to look no further than Allyson Lindt, and especially her Three Player Co-op series. Book 5 of that series, Fighting For It, is out and it’s as much fun as it’s predecessors were (though you can definitely read it stand alone). That means that it’s yet another addictively great, sexy, hot, story - and one that I’m happy to highly recommend.

Really enjoyed this book. The mother daughter relationship was so awasome, and you can't get better than Daddy Grump. Had to laugh at the cat distribution system being involved.

No one can bring the heat in a MMF story like Allyson Lindt! She never ceases to amaze me with the characters that she creates and the world that she masterfully builds for them. Hot, steamy and a definite must read!
