As Elderwood grows in strength, so do its enemies.
The nearby kingdom of Tarnstead is still in shambles and now there have been sightings of dragons. Lord Zellox, having faced defeat at on several fronts, is now threatening an attack on the heart of Solotine, starting with Elderwood.
Nathan still struggles with what it means to be a leader but he has realized that in order to save his kingdom he’s going to need to embrace magic in a way he never has before. His ancient bloodline has been a gift that he must delve into to find a way to stop both dragons and a powerful lord bent on becoming Lord over all the lands.
A teen, coming of age, sword and sorcery adventure.
I love all the characters in the series. However after waiting quite a bit for this book the ending seemed rushed. There are a lot of things left undone also. Other than that, a great book.
The editing was a disaster. Very good ideas are also lost in a disorganized plot. All the ingredients for a well written suspense were there, but were wasted... Robyn Wideman is a great author in Badland Heroes. The story was promising. So, it is a huge disappointment...
Another good Stoneblood story. Enough fun to read that the thought of it being the last full novel is a bit saddening. Main complaint is the huge number of typos, incorrect words, and basic lack of editing. The author needs to recruit more (or better?) pre-readers to get these caught. Distracting when you need to keep stopping to either report the issue (which I hope are read!) Or figure out what was actually supposed to be there.
I enjoyed the series, but I am disappointed this is the end. I feel that it is woefully to short. Please extend the series. I am interested in seeing Elderwood and Nathan overcome the dragons. I want to see Sharon and Quinton meet and so much more. Thanks for a great series, but please extend.
If you liked the Recluce series, this one is also filled with magic, plot twists, superb characters and succinct summaries throughout if you skip a book. Don’t let the occasional spelling, grammar and punctuation errors keep you from this excellent series.
Prince Nathan, Son of Soron, has built Elderwood into a power. But, their enemies seem more powerful. Will Elderwood, it's alies, and Nathan's magic stop them? The main characters are compelling. The series has been very entertaining to read. I like the action, humor and romance. I look forward to other books by this author.
This is one of those series that you can't wait for the next book to come out. Great characters and story that keeps the pages turning. You'll root for them and want the best turn out possible. Me, I can't get over the characters in this series and the Hanna Halfblood series. They are so strong and just plain great to read about. Great Reading Everyone!
Loved this set of books Each book has a lot of great stories This series ended well Obviously there are other books to read to figure out what some of the characters did before they joined this series and will do after
Bummed about some of those that died, however, kept one on one’s toes and the series was great!
The 7th book was good. I gave it a 4 because I felt the battle of Elderwood vs. Lord Zellox was rushed. The build up was great though. Also, there are more grammatical errors, and mistakes of using the wrong character's name in some instances. I hope there's an eighth book so I can find out how Quinton has changed.
I just finished the seventh and final book in this saga. I'm saddened to not read each day of my "friends" of the Stoneblood Saga but happy at their victory. This was a great read..every book in the series was enthralling, exciting and memorable. Such a good story. Highly recommended!
I really enjoyed this series. The books keep your interest page after page chapter after chaper. Keeps you wanting more. I have read alot of Mr Wideman books and have enjoted each one.
Awesome read with twists and turns as magic is intertwined and revealed. The bonding of minds and inner growth. As good as the first, hope not the last in the saga of Stoneblood.
You've got to read this book if you've read any of the Stoneblood books this is a fantastic addition to the series. But then I've loved every book so far from this author.
A very excellent conclusion to a wonderful series. A few things are left to the readers imagination at the end of it all, but, that's always the best part.
I highly recommend the series to any and all that love the Fantasy Genre.
I have enjoyed the this series very much but the proof reading and editing leave much to be desired. There are too many typos and punctuation mistakes. They distracted from the story.
I hope this isn't the last of the Stormblood Saga. There was a major storyline left hanging at the end of this book. I enjoyed the characters and the world building for the most part. I don't want to give anything much away.
Awesome. Exciting. I couldn't put it down. Now I can't wait to read more but you really need someone to edit that knows the characters in your books. It is hard to keep up when they edit the name of a deceased person in place of a living person.
I loved the saga and adventures with Nathan and friends but disappointed with ending of final book. Loose ends with no further books in saga being written
This is a quick light enjoyable read. it closes out most of the sooty line but there are openings for future books and I hope more will come. The editing slipped a bit from the previous book but not enough to spoil the book
Very anticlimactic ending to a fabulous story. I think i was expecting this last book too be so much more than the others but i was definitely disappointed.
