The Chameleon Code

Rate this book
Follow the action as Jack McGill takes on his first assignment since setting up his own private security firm. There is currently a real-world degree of concern around the security of satellite communication, defence and monitoring systems, with satellites being threatened by unfriendly nations both physically (by missiles) and virtually (hacking and data theft). The possible impacts of these vulnerabilities are military surveillance, intelligence and positioning, and civil dependencies such as weather monitoring and broadcasting. When his neighbour's daughter, an eminent cyber security expert, goes missing in France whilst leading the development of a new computer code designed to protect European satellites from attack, Jack is called on to find her and get to the bottom of her disappearance. His search takes him from rural France to central Russia, and with a little help and encouragement from some old friends on the way he finds himself embroiled in the discovery of a plot to destabilise the world.
