“Has all the ingredients for an instant success: plots, counterplots, mystery, valiant knights, and blossoming relationships replete with broken hearts, deception and betrayal. It will keep you entertained for hours, and will satisfy all ages. Recommended for the permanent library of all fantasy readers.”
--Books and Movie Reviews, Roberto Mattos (re The Sorcerer’s Ring)

“The beginnings of something remarkable are there.”
--San Francisco Book Review (re A Quest of Heroes)

From #1 bestseller Morgan Rice, author of A Quest of Heroes (over 1,300 five star reviews) comes the debut of a startlingly new fantasy series.

BORN OF DRAGONS (Age of the Sorcerers—Book Three) tells the story of the epic coming of age of one very special 16 year old boy, a blacksmith’s son from a poor family who is offered no chance of proving his fighting skills and breaking into the ranks of the nobles. Yet he holds a power he cannot deny, and a fate he must follow.

It tells the story of a 17 year old princess on the eve of her wedding, destined for greatness—and of her younger sister, rejected by her family and dying of plague.

It tells the tale of their three brothers, three princes who could not be more different from each other—all of them vying for power.

It tells the story of a kingdom on the verge of change, of invasion, the story of the dying dragon race, falling daily from the sky.

It tells the tale of two rival kingdoms, of the rapids dividing them, of a landscape dotted with dormant volcanoes, and of a capital accessible only with the tides. It is a story of love, passion, of hate and sibling rivalry; of rogues and hidden treasure; of monks and secret warriors; of honor and glory, and of betrayal and deception.

It is the story of Dragonfell, a story of honor and valor, of sorcerers, magic, fate and destiny. It is a tale you will not put down until the early hours, one that will transport you to another world and have you fall in in love with characters you will never forget. It appeals to all ages and genders.

Book four will soon be available for pre-order.

“A spirited fantasy ….Only the beginning of what promises to be an epic young adult series.”

Another 5* i can't believe it! I'm so impressed and enthralled with this series!

The Epilogue just added to it i was NOT expecting that twist and that's just one of the many things that makes this a stand out fantasy in my opinion!

Soo much thought and work has clearly gone into this series i'm obsessed!

Again a map would really add to the imagery and getting the books proof read by someone else as there were a few wrong words used or words missing in sentences but this is few and far between and after moving on from them i was drawn instantly back into the story and world. Every chapter captured my attention and held it there i just truly wanted to know what happened next! ☺️

Born of Dragons (Age of the Sorcerers—Book Three) did not disappoint. It picks up where book two of the series left off, with the queen beside her husband’s unresponsive body wondering when he will awaken and a royal family challenged by unpredictable scenarios that carry them across the realm. Mystery, magic, and subterfuge challenge their strengths and weaknesses of the royals. With a princess facing a marriage to a power-hungry nobleman’s son who could care less about her, a second princess fighting to prove herself to gain a place among the Knights, and a third princess exiled with the scale sickness. The remaining princes offer just as much drama and won’t disappoint, but I’m not going to spoil the read by mentioning the details here. Let’s just say you won’t be disappointed. Then throw in the elements of magic, the old sorcerer and the unlikely young man finding his powers along with a host of secondary characters that make things exciting at every turn. Even with a large cast of characters, the writing is done well. Characters are relevant, interesting and unique which helps to keep them all straight.
I do love this story and plan to get the next book in the series to find out what happens next to these characters I’ve grown to love and hate. The only reason I give the book 4 stars instead of 5 is that I really don’t like the way the book just end without tying up the threads of the story in a satisfying way. Instead, it will pick up in the next book. That’s fine. But it is not my preference and since it is my review, it gets 4 stars for that reason.
If you enjoy clean fantasy with relatable characters and plenty of action I recommend this book to you. It offers hints of romance, magic, dragons and an encroaching war ready to take over everything that’s good. You won’t be disappointed.

I picked up Born of Dragons expecting more action, and it definitely delivered. The kingdoms are in chaos—King Godwin is comatose, the treacherous brother Vars is scheming, and the southern king is mobilizing for war. Meanwhile, our heroes are stretched to their limits: Devin is on a quest to forge the “Unfinished Sword,” Lenore is trapped in a marriage she hates, and Renard and Nerra are caught in dangerous new developments.

The pacing is fast and tense. There’s plenty of action, betrayal, and “what just happened?” moments that kept me turning pages. Characters are really growing, and multiple plotlines are finally starting to converge in a way that makes the stakes feel huge.

It can get a little confusing with all the moving pieces, but that’s part of the fun. The ending leaves a lot unresolved, which means you’ll want the next book immediately.

Also, does anyone else worry about the dragons? I’m invested in their survival way more than I expected.

Who else has started book four? What scene hit you hardest?

Oh my goodness, this book!

Well that escalated quickly! This book is the third in the series and oh my goodness it's action packed! Battles coming out of every corner! I thought books one and two were really great but this one is way more exciting.

So much of the story keeps changing. Too many Kings, too many sisters and brothers fighting for their lives. It's magical mayhem for some, and death for others. There are a terrifying group of men and women known as The Quiet Men who are utterly ruthless. Plus a trio known only as The Hidden who are absolutely lethal and who quite frankly give me the creeps. I

This book will rivet you to your seat. You just won't want to put it down.
Now that I've given this quick review, I'm off to buy book four...please Amazon, take my money! 😁💸

I was given an ARC of this book and I found it to be enjoyable. My favourite thing is the cast of characters and how their personalities and actions come together in the plot.

The writing is fast-paced and easy to follow, the sense of place is excellent - I can really imagine that fantasy realm. There is plenty of action, thoughts and feelings, thus giving it a well-developed feel.

There are villains and heroes, and those in between, though the lines can sometimes blur.

Overall, a very good story and I look forward to more in the series - thank you to the author for allowing me a first look.

Highly recommended.

If you've been following Morgan Rice's "Age of the Sorcerers" series then I can only guess you've been waiting on this one as much as I have. "Born of Dragons" does not disappoint in way, shape, or form. This world continues to expand with more detail, the characters continue to grow, not only into themselves but in my mind as well, and the action and adventure simply abound. The storyline is captivating and the plot just flows seamlessly throughout the tale. This one was a page-turner for me that I couldn't put down. I was thrilled to be given an ARC and wanted to give an honest, voluntary review.

Action-packed treachery and intrigue!

Prince Rodry is dead and his father, King Godwin, is in a coma. Princess Lenore has been rescued from her kidnappers but home is not necessarily a safe place to be either and Vars, her treacherous half-brother, is Regent. The Northern Kingdom is under attack from the Southern Kingdom and Devins quest for the star metal fragments needed to forge the Unfinished Sword has taken him far from Lenore and Royalsport.

This book is full of treachery, plots and subplots, intrigue and action. All the elements are there to make it a fascinating story. It was so exciting that I finished it in one day!

Given the titles in this series I expected dragons, camaraderie and character development, maybe some world building. Unfortunately, it was mostly battle after battle with evil triumphing. Any character development tended to be one step forward and two back to foolishness. Dragons only appeared rarely as a brief side note and had zero personality. More of a tease, really. Any relationships were short lived and ended in death or foolishness. Only one character shows potential at this point. There is very little dialogue and zero humor. Lots of battles though.

This was just a bridge between books without much meat. Some important events take place so it isn't a book that can be skipped over but it drones on with too much unnecessary filler in my eyes. So far this has been one of the only books I've read by Morgan Rice that I found myself easily distracted while reading and looking forward to getting to the end. This was the 2nd book I paid for and after this experience, I don't think I will continue the rest of the series unless I find them for free.

Born of Dragons is an exhilarating ride brimming with intrigue and character evolution.
As tensions rise and secrets unfold, Princess Lenore navigates a treacherous landscape filled with danger and betrayal.
The rich, evolving characters keep you engaged, and the stakes have never felt higher. With subplots intensifying and mysteries deepening, this installment is both entertaining and thrilling. It’s a captivating read that will leave you eager for more—definitely worth picking up!

The characters get easier to follow as more of them join forces or end up in the same place. Sadly, we have lost some compelling characters at this point, but the action doesn’t give much time to mourn as we worry about what is happening to those who remain. This installment also explains more of the magic and the world. Looking forward to finding out more about how the characters evolve.

I enjoyed this book as I saw the characters grow and expand as well as the plot. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the era of knights, heroes, and ladies is a genre where Morgan Rice always shines and this book is a prime example.

Wow

Another fantastic story line by Morgan! Her characters can be seen in your mind. The rivalry between the siblings is felt. She has created another series that will keep you awake to read the next chapter and the next. Love it.

I gave only one star because the last three books are very thin and much more expensive than the first three books! What a scam! 5th and 6th are 208 and 189 and price is five times more than the first one, so I decided to stop after the third one!

Continuing the epic saga, the author weaves a great story.

The story continues with more betrayals and more plots. it seems slow going but all of the threads begin to merge into a tapestry. The story really comes back to sword and sorcery. Thennd then more plots,

Mostly history and plot finding building. A bit of necessary violence. A good middle book to help develop the series. Lots of information but tied a bunch of things together and created need for the next book. Great author.

Born of dragons

So many puzzle pieces to put together if there is to be a successful end to this story. Maybe the next in the series will bring some relief.

3.75. One of my lesser liked of this series so far. Kind of slow with very minimal action, I'm hoping it is building to something great in the next book though!!
