This book is made up of over 50 speeches and writings against slavery. Some going back as early as the 1830s. What amazed me was how varied the backgrounds of authors in this collection. Many, i had never heard of. Also the different reasons for their opposition to slavery. This is not a pleasant read but everyone should read it. I know however that those that should read it will not be those that do read it.
