Can an alpha fake an imprint to get what he wants?
JONAH I’m the top alpha of my class, And any omega could be mine. To get the attention of the most popular omega, I went for the school freak. Except, she’s not like people say She’s strong spirited and gorgeous. The more time I spend with her The more I want to protect her. The more I want to touch her. Could I really imprint on the weakest omega? Would she forgive me and let me claim her as my own?
GRACE All my life I was forced to suppress my true nature. I’m not quite a human. I’m not quite a shifter. I thought things would be different once I came to Omega University. I thought I would learn to be the shifter I was born to be. But they still call me a freak. Now Jonah, the top alpha, is getting close to me. He’s helping me connect to my shifter side. And the closer we get, the more I can’t resist him. But am I living in a fairy tale? Would an alpha like Jonah, really want an omega like me?
J.L. Wilder likes wild things! Her alpha shifters are gruff and tough, with a pinch of tenderness. Curl up with these bad boy book boyfriends, and they will have you howling at the moon!
When not writing shifter smut, J.L. spends as much time as possible exploring the outdoors. She loves getting into trouble with Ace, her Siberian Husky.
I really thought this book was going to go a different direction with Grace being a bit strong and having a mind of her own. However, all she wanted was a mate and in order to do that, she is unbelievably rude to her roommate and being lovesick and obeying everything Jonah says.
I tried giving this book a chance but after reaching chapter 11, I gave up. Grace was just annoying and Jonah was being an idiot how was starting to irritate me, thought this book would be a lot better but sadly this wasn't my cuppa tea.... :(
Not my cup of tea, so take my review with a grain of salt.
The characters are infantilized, sounding far younger than their years (18+, most 22-ish) more the mentality of children
The world building is missing vital building blocks. If every alpha creates a new pack, if they're having litters of 7 babies at a clip, how many packs are created in a single year alone? How do these adult shifters with their seriously codependent, baby-laden mates afford to have already built homes? How many babies would one omega contribute? Not only that, I believe the betas could also have/create offspring.
The cultish mind-washing mentality & childlike voice creeped me out during the insta-lust sex scenes. The lines of consent, where these omega (no matter their age) seemed unable to consent, disturbed me. I'm a taboo reader, so this is saying something. It wasn't the content, as it was all surface level, zero inner monologue, & puddle-deep, vapid emotion. It was the voice of childlike characters that was disturbing.
Side note: the books in the boxset are not in series order, as indicated by the series lineup of individual novels
I'm going to add something I've never stated before. The high-rated reviews all sound as if they're describing a book/series that could be the next Pulitzer. That is not the experience I had, by far. I noticed this trend across the series as I added my review to each individual novel held within the boxset.
I mean, I love a fluffy novel now & again, mindless fun, which this would be if in the right mindset. Poignant? I mean, the characters' physical traits aren't even on the page, little to no emotion or detailing, which is why it was such a quick read. No harm in that, but some of these reviews are mind-boggling
There’s so much heart in this book. It’s a melding of bully romance and shifter politics, but that’s not what this book is about. It’s about seeing beneath the surface, finding the heart of people, loyalty and love. My heart broke for Grace and was healed by the glorious HEA. Highly recommended.
Ummm I thought this was going to be a bully romance. There’s a bully alright but not Jonah. It’s the rival omega that’s the bully here. So I was a bit bummed about that, because I love when our hero redeems himself because his woman makes him want to be a better man. Not really sure what was happening here. There seemed to be a lot of inconsistencies here. Ok so it starts off with Grace’s human father calling the professor or president from Shifter U to take Grace away because he can’t and won’t deal with her true nature. The professor tells Grace that her mother went to college with him (assuming it’s Shifter U) and that she was the most sought after omega, but she winds up with a human? Ok? This is where I get lost in the story. Three years later and Grace has made only one friend, her roommate. She’s dead last in her class rank, has had zero success in anything. And that professor who was mentioned in the first chapter, never heard of again. Why? Why couldn’t he have been an ally of hers? I hated her roommate too! She’s fake nice. Like when Grace tells her she’s being bullied all the time and that going out to socials is a bad idea, her roommate is like oh come on, it’ll be fun. Like no it won’t. Just the worst description of female friendship ever, like why bother writing Skye as her friend if it’s not even convincing? Also back to my point on this story being inconsistent, when they graduate or have the claiming ceremony, they say it’s the fourteenth one. Didn’t Grace’s mom graduate from there way longer than fourteen years ago? Confused. Also, these seem like stand-alone so I didn’t bother reading the other three prior to this one. And finally our hero Jonah. I didn’t like him all that much. He was really wishy washy. He’s second in command was more alpha than he was and I wish Alex would have been the hero here. Grace was very pitiful and I didn’t like her either. Why did I finish this then? Well, it gets slightly better after 51% and it’s really short and there’s no writing errors. But the author does use “Jonah said” and then “Grace said” after each line of conversation when it’s only two people talking in that scene. It’s annoying and something any high school English teacher would have put red all over. I had to finish this to see how it ended and it’s not too bad. Not sure it’s worth $2.99 and so happy I have KU.
I'm not sure if I like this book or not. I think there was a good story as the base, but the world-building was too hodge-podge. Honestly my favorite character in the story was Alex, a beta and Jonah's second. He had loyalty to Jonah, he had a spunk to him, and he was clearly pack focused. Jonah didn't start off on a great foot, he was too obsessed with Aubrey, but I think he does change enough in the book. I felt so bad for Grace. Omega U knew that she didn't have the background to do well, but didn't seem willing to help her succeed. She spent her entire time at school being bullied and I'm not sure her "friend" really was a friend to her. I thought the way the omegas was treated was odd, they're kept away from the alphas and betas with few socials that don't seem to be chaperoned. But omegas are expected to attract a mate from among the alphas, to get someone they barely know to imprint on them. It also seemed like they only really get to pick from their year, which would suck if your mate was a year or two apart. I think there was the start of what could have been a really good story, but it just needed more work.
*I actually got the box-set when it was free on Amazon. In the box-set this is #1 instead of #4 (Professor Wolf is #4 in the box-set). Based on the reviews for the individual books, I don't think the matters what order the stories are read in, but I thought it was an odd choice to flip the order like that.
Grace was born to a human father who seems to despise everything about her shifter heritage. He has forced Grace to feel shame for her condition. Her shames her when she suddenly starts sleep walking and waking up in the woods naked. He makes her walk him like that to make her feel less than she is. Then one day after Grace wakes up in the Forrest naked and is hiding from her father, he has brought a strange man with him. Who tells her that she is a wolf shifter and her dead mother had been one too.
Grace is taken to the omega university where she will learn to be a good omega. But Grace has trouble in school and has been at the bottom of her class all four years. Now they are ready to graduate and she has never met an alpha for him to imprint on her. Then she meets Jonah who wants the omega who is the top of her class and from a very rich family. But the omega he has his eye on, won’t even acknowledge him as her alpha. He sees Grace at a social event and they make a deal to try to make the other omega jealous. While Grace does her part, Grace has asked him to teach her to do what she needs to do.
Jonah imprints on Grace and they mate. Then they have to deal with jealousy and bullying of Grace from the omega who had been bullying her through school. They both have things to work through, but together they achieve their goals and their pack stands beside them, even in battle. They all have a happily ever after.

This was a very enjoyable read about Jonah and Grace. Grace's father raised her more human so when she had blackouts and woke naked in the woods, her father called Professor Jenkins and he offers her to go to Omega University to learn how to control her abilities. Grace accepts. Three years later, Jonah, a alpha, has his sights on Aubrey the most popular omega but was warned from Gabe to stay away. Grace is the lowest omega and is belittle by Aubrey and her school mates except her room mate Skye. When Grace and Skye go to the bonfire, Jonah notices her standing alone. He goes to talk with Aubrey but she disrespects him. So Johan sneaks to the Omega University grounds hoping to meet Aubrey but he see Grace crying and starts taking with her. Jonah makes a deal with Grace and Grace accepts the deal if Johan helps her pass her classes. They start going out together to make Aubrey jealous but the more he gets to know her the more he realizes she might be his mate. Will Jonah chose Grace or Aubrey? I liked that both characters had to look for their self worth in this romantic story. I volunteer to read and review this ARC via Booksprout.
Alpha Bully(Omega University Book 4) By J.L. Wilder. 4.5 Stars
Jonah and Grace's story is wonderful!! These two will give you some laughs, omg's, wth, wow interaction moments...
I really enjoyed the twists and turns of Grace's life. To be a wolf and not know it would be difficult for anyone to handle, especially if you woke up naked in the woods like she does in the beginning.lol
You'll meet Jonah, an alpha in his senior year at Shifter University along with Alex, his beta. Then theres Aubrey, who definitely rubbed me the wrong way with her attitude but is a key player in here.
A claiming ceremony is to take place at the end of the school year and the path to it becomes very interesting and enlightening to both Jonah and Grace, at least I thought so...

Borrowed From KINDLE UNLIMITED Title: Alpha Bully Series: Omega University #4 Release Date: #AlreadyReleased Author: JL Wilder Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Serial: Standalone, No Cliffhanger Genre:#PRN #Omega ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ •••••••••••••• 💢Everything you can think of is in this mind blowing book. Adventure, Survival, Fear, Jealousy, Action Packed, Loyalty, Hate, Lust, Love, Wickedly Hot Scenes, Hero's and Strong Heroine's 🔹️Jonah is WolfShifter who is at the top of his class at Shifter University. Being at the top he want to claim the top Omega Aubrey Price. Who wouldn’t want her, her dad is the Alpha of a big pack and filthy rich. But Aubrey wants to play games cause there's so many who wanna imprinted her? Then there is Grace Forester sitting away from everyone WHY? Grace is dead last on the list and bullies love to pick on her no matter where she goes especially Aubrey Price. ☄️ This review is my own opinion, this author is one that I love to read her books.
I am very into Werewolf romance right now and this plot intrigued me. I give my rating as a 3/5 because there were parts I felt could have been better with more explanation. The Author could have spent more time on explaining the story or situation with imprinting, that was a bit confusing. Plus, the whole ranking of Alpha and Omega was a lot. I never saw Jonah as her bully but I did enjoy seeing them get to know each other instead of relying on their biology or mate bond. I also liked how thoughtful Jonah was of Grace. It surprised me how cruel the other Alphas', Betas' and Omegas were to Grace. Plus the power or thought of being rich and powerful and having influence over others was laughable. Such entitlement I wished someone put them in their place, in a way I guess it did in the end. Some of the characters like Skye could have been more supportive but all in all a good read Plus I just Love Happy Endings! 😊

The right alpha for the omega. Grace’s mom died when she was young and her dad never told her she could turn into a wolf sometime in the future, so when she starts sleep walking and ending up naked in the woods at night she doesn’t know what is happening. But when her father calls for help she finds out what she is and gets enrolled in Omega University. But living as a human most of her life puts her behind the other girls and she is at the bottom of her class, and teased and bullying. When an alpha from Alpha University asks her to a get together to make another omega notice him she agrees if he will help her pass her classes. But what happens when tutoring turns into something else? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
Once again we are at Omega University and the latest omega is one that didn't even know she ws omega wolf
Grace is an omega wolf who never even knew she was a wolf shifter her mother died and her father never let her know what shew as until she is sent of to Omega University There everyone treats her as a freak and no one befriends her. Jonah is the top alpha and has every intention of mating with the highest ranked omega the only problem is that she wants nothing to do with him So he decides to team up with Grace and try to make her jealous but as he spends more time with Grace the more he is attracted to her until he bonds with her but the people bullying her won't let it go Can they have a future together You will have to read to see
I really enjoyed this story. The bullying took many forms but was handled with great care and really have the story depth. I fruity finished this book in a happy place, it also made me coincider what bullying is, it has many forms and many degrees. Jonah and Grace are great individuals. Both are strong but in different ways. Grace has had an unusual upbringing. Her past has hindered her nature. And everyone takes advantage of that. Jonah does not think Grace has value, his preconceptions are challenged and his assumptions are challenged. A great story with depth and passion. I definitely recommend this read. I really felt for Grace. She had grown up never knowing about her second nature and was abused by her father when she'd shifted while dreaming and woke up naked in the woods. Going to Omega University was a blessing and a curse for her. Being bullied and at the bottom of the class rankings made her time there difficult but at least she and her roommate became good friends. Jonah was a little arrogant at first since he was the top Alpha in his class at Shifter U. The book was most meaningful when it revealed rank and reputation weren't the most important things someone had to offer but that the worth of a person was so much more.
Jonah is the top alpha of his class at Shifter University. He’s trying to get the attention of the top omega. Grace an omega brought up by a human isn’t doing so well at the university. She can’t get the hang of this shifter stuff and is barely passing. Grace and Jonah agree to work together to help each other get what they each want. Slowly as they get to know each other, they begin to fall for each other. Each character is slowly developed and makes it a great story. Look forward to reading more from this author.

This was an amazingly well-written story by one of my favorite authors, J.L. Wilder. This book 4 in the Omega University Series was intriguing as it had some very well-thought out scenes and story plots. These characters have very strong wills and personalities and their interactions are believable. This wonderful story has the following: intrigue, twists & turns, adventure, action, danger, love, steam and a HEA. It is a fast-paced book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. I am always on the lookout for books by this author.

Grace is an omega wolf shifter who can't control her shifting. She is barely passing anything at Omega University because for the majority of her life, she didn't know she was a shifter. Her father was human and her mother died when she was a baby. Jonah is the top Alpha at the Shifter University. He runs into Grace in the woods while trying to meet Aubrey. Who is the bully? Who does Jonah choose - Grace or Aubrey? What happens to all these seniors? I loved reading this story. This story showed some of the issues that happen with bullying. I hope there is more Omega University stories. I can't wait! Thank you. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of the book.
This is Jonah and Grace's story . Jonah IS a bully and acts like such a butt-hole . He figures that to get the popular Omega he would show some attention to the freak Omega but life throws him a curve when he can't seem to stop wanting to protect and want her . Grace thinks more like a human than a shifter but wants to learn how to be the Omega she was meant to be . I like the way that Grace is not afraid to go for what she wants and is willing to learn exactly how to be an Omega shifter should be . This is a well written and recommended story .
Grace is a omega wolf shifter going to Omega University, she's the bottom of her class. Jonah Is a alpha wolf shifter going to Shifter university who's top ranking in his class. Grace and Jonah meet by chance when he's hoping to meet another omega which us Grace's bully. They strike up a plan, he will help her get better at being a shifter and she will help him get the omega he wants. But what will happen when fate has another thing planned? What will happen with the other find out especially Grace's bully? Can these to opposites prove rank doesn't matter? Will there be a HEA?
3.5 stars - would have been 4 if not for the OW drama. But thats a personal preference. Also, I would not qualify this as a bully story because the H does not really bully the h. It's the "mean girls" who do the bullying. H in this book does not come across as the top of the class almighty alpha and he is actually pretty insecure at times. I have to say it made for a refreshing read and realistic because shifters or not, alpha or not, it's still highschool. I'm so used to reading YA books where the MCs are acting like they are in their 30s that it threw me off a bit at first.
I must say. I'm the begining it had me hooked, a little ways in I started to get mad at certain characters but then quickly fell in love with this book again. There was plenty of angst but also a healthy dose of understanding and even love from our MC's. Alpha Bully had just the right amount of every emotion from me. I reserve the right to continue hating a few of the characters though.😊 But I would definitely recommend this rollercoaster to anyone:) thank you J.L. Wilder for the interesting little world your book dragged me into, it was a delight.
What a sweet story. At first I wasn’t sure if I would like Jonah, but after coming to understand Grace a little more, his attitude changed. This couple deserved a happy ever after, especially after the stressful time Grace had at the University. I loved how this author made the claiming ceremony feel beautiful, even with its aftermath. This was a great read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Such a fantastic addition to the Omega University series. Grace is a shifter with suppressed shifter abilities. Jonah, the top alpha, is a bully and he wants the popular omega, and to do this he went to the school “freak” Grace. The more time he spends with Grace the more he wants her and feels the need to protect her. A great read and I couldn’t help rooting for Grace and Jonah.

Great addition to the series!!! I really enjoyed the twist and turn of this story. Plenty of laugh out loud moment also intrigue, action, and of course steamy romance to keep you hook from beginning to end. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read. I received a free copy via booksprout I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.
This is the story of Grace and Jonah. He is an Alpha shifter male who is a bully and popular. She was raised by an abusive male father. She is an Omega but needs to learn how to be one. At first, as is typical, Jonah treats her badly. All of a sudden, things change...but will there be a HEA? This is a story that will melt your heart. I received this via Booksprout and am leaving a voluntary review.
An enthralling book four in the Omega University series! The storyline is exciting, well-developed, intriguing, well written, and engaging. There is drama, twists and turn, humour, steam, humour, and intense passion. The characters are very strong; the chemistry between them is off the charts. Definitely recommended!

Loved how grace and Jonah learned to be friends. They had a mutual agreement to help one another and the more time they spent together they learned about one another. He realized how wrong he had been about her and about Aubrey (who is evil). Loved how adorable they were together. And I love Alex! Only hoped maybe that the price family would get in trouble for the what they did. That shouldn’t have been let go just because of who they are. It sets a precedent.
There’s good and bad in everyone, some find their way out. This university sure has some characters, I love how these two struggle with their own problems but are strong to face others prejudices. The story was great, kept me intrigued. Don’t miss this one!

Grace, the lowest ranking omega, encounters Jonah, the highest ranking alpha, at the river dividing Omega University from Shifter University. As the story progresses a deal is reached, lessons begin, and learning their value may save more people than themselves. J.L. Wilder’s Alpha Bully is an exciting addition to her Omega University series.
