My existence is not a mistake. I was created for a purpose.

But what?

My false uncle’s last words still haunt me, echoing in my mind even as we bury his body. He lied to me my whole life, but I don’t think he was lying about this.

There’s someone out there who poses an even greater threat to me than Clint did.

And if my men and I are going to have a chance of facing down that enemy and surviving, I need to find a way to make peace between the two halves of myself.

The light and the dark.

The wolf and the witch.

There’s a power inside me, a force I don’t understand, and it will either bend to my will…

Or destroy everything I love.

Dark Wolf is the third book in the Claimed by Wolves series, a paranormal reverse harem shifter romance. It contains cursing, four growly alpha males, steamy sex, and a heroine who finds her strength in the midst of it all.

Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.

Gawd this book! Callie Rose is an amazing author she tortures me with suspense and makes me have all the feels and Dark Wolf is just proof of what a great author she is. Dark Wolf is the third book in the Claimed by Wolves series and if you can't tell I absolutely loved it.

Once again I had anxiety all throughout this book, it's something about this series were things are going good and you know that shit is gonna go down but there is still something else, this dark cloud of worry for the characters that I love. I got that feeling in the previous book, Broken Bond, and I got that feeling in Dark Wolf. It just stated with me. I needed to know what was gonna happen, I was compelled to finish the story and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Gawd the emotions, it was so good.

Sable is one of those characters that I just love. She doesn't have all the answers, in fact, it is mentioned that she isn't nearly trained enough as a wolf or a witch. They acknowledge that Callie shows Sable struggle. Her struggle with accepting her new life as a wolf, opening up to her guys, and getting control of her magic. However, she doesn't let that struggle stop her, she tries because she is so caring about people, and doesn't want anyone getting hurt. Sable has grown so much over the series, she use to let her anxiety and past history dictate so much but with the help of her guys she has gained more confidence, gotten a backbone, and is willing to fight for not only herself but for those around her.

The guys bring out such good things in Sable but they are also protective and supportive of her. They won't let any even her other mates say or do something that might hurt her emotionally or physically. In turn, she wants to protect them, from the witches' attacks and from her own dark magic. She also brings out better qualities in the guys, they learn to listen to other people (including each other), they communicate and work better together, and have changed their way of thinking about things and all of that is due to Sable. The guys and Sable are a family now and it so great to see them together to see how much they care for each other.

There aren't too many supporting characters and we didn't get to know too many other wolves but Ridge's second in command Amora and Archer's dad, Malcolm, are absolutely amazing. Shifters are leery of witches and with good reason but they trust the alphas and they open their minds and hearts to Sable when a lot of the other shifters still have a problem with Sable's heritage. Especially Amora who is the friend that Sable never had due to her horrible upbringing.

As for the plot, the story flowed so smoothly, and yet everything was a surprise because I didn't know what to expect. Uncle Client was just the beginning and the big bad has been revealed and I can't even, with the little that I learned of her in this book I already have a deep hatred of her and that is an amazing feat for a character who has been barely acknowledged so far. The fact that Callie was able to pull that feeling through was amazing.

Dark Wolf was freaking amazing and I loved every single minute of it. I love this series and it's sad to see it come to an end but the fourth and final book is gonna be here before I know it and I can't wait for Alpha Queen. If the series stays true the book is gonna be amazing and after the crazy events at the end of Dark Wolf, I gotta know how it's all gonna end.

Cleo is absolutely awful. I loved how all 3 packs came together to fight off the witches. I hate what happened to Malcolm and I love that he gave his support for their mate bond. I loved Gwen and how she helped them so much and hopefully she’ll end up coming into play in the last book. Hopefully they can keep Cleo out of her head and somehow manage to fight the witches as one pack.

This was a really quick and fun series to read. Great sex scenes, medium-ish burn and a couple of great plot twists. Worthy read. I just wonder if there will be an adjunct series based on the mini cliff-hanger option that was left for a side character in the last book.

Overload

I am definitely a fan of smexy times during my stories but this is just excessive. It interrupts the plot many times and it doesn't add to the story. This happens so often I have skipped pages at a time. I am obsessed with seeing it to the end, but I'm glad it's almost over.

So, I’ve lost interest. Not a bad book or series- just not enough to keep me hooked. I should be invested in these characters, but I honestly I couldn’t care less what happens to them. So I am DNF at 80%.

The first two were just ok, this one was blah. It was super boring. I was trying so hard to get through to the end as I thought it was a trilogy and would be done. Nope, this book was mainly just filler and there is a 4th book. I won’t be reading it.

So, the book hadn't ended yet. I'm officially internally screaming because I THOUGHT this book is the last instalment of the series. Oh, how wrong I was. How could I not know that this series would be a saga, you ask? Well, becauseeeee.... the 1st book on the series was actually my 1st book of the author. Plus, I didn't subscribe on Callie Rose group, despite the fact that I thought the book was good. So yes, totally my bad. Btw, why the author didn't directly say at the end of (every) book that this would be a saga. Instead, it just said that it would continue onto the next, which I always thought it's gonna be the final book.
description

Anyway, despite my disappointment on my own insolence of not paying attention whether this book was a saga or not, this sequel was actually getting more interesting. As the h's birth's secret revealed in the previous book, more mystery was coming in with some twist in the revelation. And the most anticipated witchy-witch coven(s) finally shown up and get some real actions, not just mentioned in passing like the previous book. I supposed the final battle would be concluded in the upcoming final book (I thought this one was the final one, but apparently I was mistaken), and revealing the real role of the h as a hybrid of shifter and witch. Wicked!!

Her life turned out to be one great big lie, and now she's both a little lost, and a whole heap dissapointed in the answers they recieved.

Who is the mystery witch that she should be afraid of. Was he speaking the truth or trying to scare her further..

This is the third book in the claimed by wolves series, following directly on from the second book "broken bond".

My love for this series dwindled a little in the second book, but I'm glad to say that the fire was reignited and roared away ferociously as I read this!

There wasnt a dull moment, and that's what I need from this kind of book. Plenty of action, and issues, saucy scenes and tender moments.

The characters pulled on my heart strings once again, and there is no choosing. I need them all too!

The alphas of the north, east and south packs along with lone wolf Dare, who are her fated mates warmed the cockles of my wee heart with their fierce loyalty and protection of her. Their love for her is so bright and true.

Sable grew into her hybrid body and began to be the character I knew she could be.

She is a part of both worlds and I loved how she began to explore more of her skills and powers.

This story brings the series one step closer to an end. There's just one more book to go and I for one can't wait to read it!!

I'm team Sable are you ?

Dark Wolf

Amazing stories. Sable is a hybrid. Her so called uncle experimented with a witch and a wolf to create Sable. Every witch had said that it could not happen but somehow Uncle Clint found the two people that made it happen. He had been torturing Sable to try to get either her witch or wolf to come out and never succeeded. But her mate bond to the four alphas ends up triggering both her witch side and her wolf side at different times.
Uncle Clint gets to see that both sides of Sable have manifested before he dies at the jaws of one of her mates. Sable is so scared of her witch side hurting the ones she loves, that she tries to do something hazardous to herself and her mates. An elder in the pack tells them about a witch without a coven but Sable's mates do not want to hunt for her.
Due to her actions, all five go to find the witch and after a short battle, Sable intrigues the witch and she gives Sable a book of magic and also is able to help Sable find out who her magic is hooked too.
There is so much more to the story that you have to read it to get the full picture of what goes on. It is a reverse harem book with some strong language and situations thru out the story.

YES.

for some reason i’ve usually rounded down for half ratings, but this 4.5 ⭐️ definitely deserves to be rounded up.

This book was so good. So, so good. I’m loving this journey. Sable learns more about who she is and her powers. And her men worship her. oh and let’s talk about sex, baby. BECAUSE HOT DAMN. callie rose you are melting my kindle.

Spoiler, maybe?... Idk, maybe don’t read this next line just incase? OKAY -
I really didn’t expect there to be any confrontations between sides in this book (i figured the battle until the last book, and was so thrown off when there was). But holy shit I was on the edge of my seat throughout it.

Spoiler (maybe) over.

This whole book I was GLUED to my kindle needing to know what was going to happen. Seriously this was one of those books that I read before bed and woke up in the middle of the night and kept reading.

I am so hooked on this series and cannot wait to read the last book!

Every book just gets better and better. The mate bond between Sable, Ridge, Trystan, Dark, and Archer is so strong now, but continues to grow even stronger. It's great how Sable is getting better with her wolf and powers. She definitely gets put through the wringer during this book. No matter what was happening with her, her mates were by her side through it all. I'm completely loving the new sides of the men that Sable seems to bring out. The way they were worshipping her body, especially when doing it all together....🔥🔥🔥! Sadly for them, things couldn't be all hot and steamy all the time. Some serious shit goes down in this book. And with that ending, book 4 is about to have one hell of a showdown. I'm placing my bet on our girl Sable!

Dark Wolf by Callie Rose is a reverse harem paranormal romance. This is the third book in the Claimed By Wolves series.

The book does come with a note "It contains cursing, four growly alpha males, steamy sex, and a heroine who finds her strength in the midst of it all."

I absolutely love Callie’s books they always leave me begging for more!

I love that we get Sable, Ridge, Trystan, Archer, and Dare's points of view throughout the book. It really brings the story to life.

The story does end on an amazing cliffhanger that leaves me begging for the next and final book in the series Alpha Queen that will be released on December 31, 2020.

I would highly recommend this book if you love Reverse Harems or Paranormal Romance.

When I started this book I didn’t know what to expect. Once again Callie Rose did not disappoint.

Callie does a great job conveying how difficult the unknown if for everyone. The guys are supportive of Sable but they themselves are going through a lot as well. The further along in the book the more change can be seen in their group and individually.

“I guess I lost track of how to be with other people. How to take care of someone. How to love.”

There is also the action that is needed in a book of wolf shifters. The action that takes place is great in that is continues to show unity within the group.

There is a lot of change ahead for Sable and her guys and I can't wait to read the next book.

The plot thickens!

Oh how the plot thickens! I love that the book starts off moments after the last one left off. Sabel has been through many ups and downs throughout her life and unfortunately she is still having to battle challenges that arise.

Now that Sabel has a few vague answers about her history, she is on a quest to learn how to control her magic to ensure it doesn't attack the ones she loves. She found some answers, but was it enough to allow her to overcome her final challenge?

Throughout the book we have steamy scenes that make you melt! Boy do I love the guys in this series! Really can't get enough.

The book ends on a quiet the suspenseful scene that I believe will set things up perfectly for the last book of this series! I can't wait to find out how Sabel's story will conclude.

One common theme in a lot of books I read is that the issues faced are caused by lack of communication. So, it was refreshing to see that the characters here consciously subverted this and made a point of opening up. Of course, this was mostly after the guys realised the impact of not listening to Sable in the first places!

Now that the character group is firmly established, the story is turning to look at the bigger picture, the shifter/witch war, and where Sables fits into this. The story moves along at a satisfying pace, but I'll warn you to keep tissues handy - this is the first book in a long time to make me cry!

The next book is the final one in the series, and I'm looking forward to a satisfying conclusion!

ok I like how this is going

Definitely a faster pace with this one. Some interesting events happening and a whole lot of emotional turmoil.

I’m loving the progress of their relationship but also their individual growth within their unit. They are learning about each other more and what each of them do for each other and the roles they have in their dynamic. It’s interesting to see it grow.

The plot is developing well. It’s giving me action, romance, and I’m enjoying how the spice that’s added isn’t taking over the overall story, often with RH I’ve seen the stories overrun by the spice but this is well balanced. Definitely enjoying this series. Can’t wait to see how the conclusion plays out with book 4.

Dark Wolf starts right where the previous book ends. Sable and her mates are still learning to communicate and trust each other and continue to grow closer to each other with each trial they face. Friends, allies and enemies emerge in this action-packed, heart-pounding adventure. And once again Callie Rose leaves you wanting more. Good Read

Dark Wolf is the third book in the Claimed by Wolves series and continues Sable and her alphas story picking up in the aftermath of the previous book. After the revelations at the end of the last book, Sable tries to find someone to help her gain control over her witch half and finds out more about the mysterious person she has been linked to.

This book was another addictive instalment in the series and kept me on the edge of my seat while reading. I loved the twists and turns the story took and it really felt like this book was building up for a big finale. I love the characters and find them really easy to like and root for. I’m looking forward to seeing how the story concludes in the next book.

Overall, this is another book I would recommend reading.

Book 3 jumps us back into Sable and her mates lives. Now she’s knows she is a hybrid wolf/witch, it’s Sables turn to take control of her growing powers and keep her Mates and their packs safe. Their over protective natures I’m pleased to say, does wain, and Sable takes back some control from her possessive Alphas. Their relationship also heats up in this book and boy, it’s smokin’!

We find out more about Sables past, although there are still as many questions as answers. Book 4 is definitely set to be a page turner. Looking forward to returning to Sable and her boys and the showdown we know is coming. Another great addition to this series.

Sheesh! The Claimed by Wolves Series just continues to get better & better! From beginning to end I was completely consumed by all things Sable and her mates... like make your own dinner... do not disturb consumed 🖤

Dark Wolf is the third book and this series and it is such a fast paced read... full of so many twists and turns, action, ALL the swoon, some seriously heartbreaking moments, magic & mayhem... && I feel like there is still so much that is unknown! And don't get me started on that ending?!?! I'm pretty sure Callie Rose might be trying to kill me 😉 or just my kindle because it went clear across the room! SO GOOD!

Like the story

I like the story but have a few problems with this series. One, what happened to cell or satellite phones? It seems like alphas should at least have one...walkie talkies??? No???? Was this set in the past and I just missed it? Also ummm...surely there are some kinda records who her parents are because she went to the hospital. Is this woman ever gonna get to buy her own clothes? See anything besides inside houses or the forest...the whole time they were squirrelled away in the honeymoon cabin I was like when is she going to get clothes? Poor things probably never been anywhere.

Another fab instalment

Sable learns, from the help of a lone witch, that Cleo has put on bone on her. She is a very powerful witch which has been attacking the wolves. Sable is taught to see through Cleo's eyes, which gives her a bit of an insight into what she has planned. They have captured Lawson and are torturing him. Eventually he relents and gives the witch what she wants. Every day Sable practices her magic. She is afraid it will take over her and she will inadvertently hurt her mates. Sable learns of Cleo's planned attack on the wolves and helps them to prepare for battle. Hot read.

Dark Wolf is book 3 in the Claimed By Wolves series. The series so far has been decent. I haven't found myself bored, so that's a plus. We're still seeing Sable grow into her character and become stronger. She's learning how to use her witch powers and is fighting her hardest to control them. Her guys are so supportive of her and are finally listening to her when she has opinions regarding herself. I wasn't expecting to cry from this book either... but I most certainly did. The cliffhanger wasn't TOO brutual, but now I need to know what this witch b*tch is going to do! On to the final book!

Yesssssss! I’m so in love with this hot shifter series, with Sable and her four mates. Ridge, Trystan, Archer, and Dare are so amazing and I love what they all bring to the table.

I love seeing Sable’s growth throughout this series and it’s amazing to see how far she’s come. We get some answers to a few of the questions we’ve been plagued with and man oh man, are things really ramping up for book four.

There’s plenty of steam and sizzle between Sable and her Alphas, but Callie Rose made sure to give us humor and action to go along with it too!

This series just keeps getting better! I have to say I really really enjoyed this book. Sable, Archer, Ridge, Trystan, and Dare are becoming stronger as mates, but this also comes with a new challenge. While Sable is coming into her wolf her witch magic is still a huge problem. I loved seeing how Sable was able to learn more about her magic in this book and how she was finally able to use it for something good. This book had it all, the steaminess and the action. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!
