A comprehensive look at the works and career of Howard Pyle. It covers his artistic journey from childhood and his continued influence beyond his death. Included is a generous collection of pieces - from black and white engravings, to full color paintings. Contained within, are many excellent insights provided by anecdotes of both Pyle, and his famous students. An amazing bibliography lists Pyle's work for various publications.
