She wants justice for her sister.
He’ll see that she gets it.

The woman US marshal Dawson O’Connor just bailed out of jail isn’t his ex-wife. It’s her identical twin, Summer Grayson—whose existence his enigmatic ex kept from him. Summer believes her sister is in peril…or worse. To draw out the perpetrator, she needs Dawson’s help and protection. While Summer takes a dangerous risk by posing as her twin, Dawson will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.

Texas Target, the second title in the An O’Connor Family Mystery series was an intriguing story that brings home the fact that we don’t always know someone as well as we think – even if they’re family.

Summer is convinced her sister, Autumn, is in big trouble. She’s been out of contact for too long. At best she’s gone off and found trouble – at worst, she’s been murdered and that’s sounding more realistic than anything else. So, Summer does what any sister would do – she goes looking for her and finds herself dodging some bad guys who are convinced she’s her sister, and they are playing for keeps. To protect herself she ends up in jail asking her sister’s ex-husband to bail her out. Convincing bad guys she’s her sister is one thing – an ex… not so easy.

Dawson may have made a mistake with Autumn but he’s not going to let her sit in jail. Yet, this woman isn’t acting like his ex-wife in any shape or form. It won’t be long before Dawson realizes he’s facing Autumn’s twin sister (one he never knew existed) and finding himself tangled up in tracking down a woman he’d once married but obviously never really knew.

Texas Target drew me in and kept me in that world as the danger, the questions, and the attraction between Summer and Dawson ratchets up several notches. There are vile villains to loathe, charming secondary characters to like, and a couple that might have come together under unusual circumstances but they fit so well together. I enjoyed my time back in this world and I’m looking forward to starting Texas Law.

I own a Kindle edition of this title.

Another in the O'Connor Family Mystery series, in which US Marshall Dawson O'Connor ends up bailing out a woman he thought was his ex-wife, but isn't. Who is she? Her identical twin sister and she's determined to find out who killed her sister and why.

When Summer Grayson admits who she is to Dawson, she finds herself attracted to him, but that shouldn't be. After all, he was her sister's husband. And more to point, attraction isn't right: not when she has to concentrate on bringing her sister's killer to justice. Oh, and are the two men who came after her the same one or ones who took out her sister? Summer thinks so, particularly when she continues to be targeted as she gets closer to finding out what really happened.

But will she live to find out what happened to her sister? And what happens between her and Dawson if they are successful finding those killers?

The book that makes no sense!!

I don’t even know where to start with why this book doesn’t work.
First the guy slept with her sister…her twin sister. That’s a nope from me! It’s weird and creepy.
Then the story just jumped all over the place. I kept going back to see if I’d missed something? If it was an actual book I’d read I’d assume a few pages were missing. I know it has to be tied in with the rest of the series but it really wasn’t, it got confusing and simply didn’t seem as if the writer had even read the first book. His father? None of that made any sense. He had an aneurysm? Then some weird stuff about a bank card? What did I miss??
I really hope the next book isn’t this confusing and someone paid more attention to the storyline. Because the only mystery here was why anyone thought this book was worth publishing!

Would have given it more stars if there had not been inconsistencies in the book. I know it happens but it drives me crazy.

I really enjoyed this by. Caught my attention right off and kept it all the way through. If I could have I would have read it straight thru. You really felt for the main characters.
