Oh goody. Another Spongebob book. Well the good thing about it, is that it's actually a well written story with a decent plot and longer and more difficult than a level 2 book, so it's good for him. And most of the time, it actually delivers a pretty good message too. This one is all about sharing and then trusting the people you care about. A good lesson, and according to my son, "Cool!"

This was actually very good, a very good kids book.
Spongebob is worried Patrick will ruin his Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy toys when borrowing them, so he tries to sneak them back.
Pretty good- Not too bad, though, but the show is better, but it's a buyable book.

This book was pretty good. Felt like a strange mix between the episode “the secret box.” And “yours mine and mine” with a hint of “the card.”

So in this book SpongeBob gets a rare collectible mermaid man and barnical boy bubble blower and does not want to take it out of the box for collectors sake. He lends it to Patrick for the night and is worried Patrick might break it or open it from the box.

Honestly I feared Patrick would be a jerk and break it too! However thankfully when SpongeBob sneaks into his his home to check on him the box is fine and Patrick is for once rightfully upset SpongeBob didn’t trust him! SpongeBob apologizes but points out that in Patrick’s anger he’s breaking his own things! Patrick sees the broken house and goes your right I’m a big clumsy oaf SpongeBob take back your toy before I break it! Which actually shows Patrick cares! I’m happy they didn’t make Patrick a major jerk in this book like some others do!

Overall if your a fan of the show this a must have book because it’s an orginal story!

Book review of Hands Off by David Lewman

David Lewman discusses the topic of sharing, importance, and generosity in the picture book Hands Off. SpongeBob gets a new toy in the mail and he is very excited and Patrick wants to play with it, but SpongeBob doesn’t want him to because it’s a collectors toy.

I think that this book is a great book for ages 3-7, it is very entertaining. In the text Patrick asks "what is a good toy if you cant play with it" and I think that’s a very good question . it also has lots of pictures and details that would be good for a young child to read. Overall, I rate this picture book a 9/10

Usually, I give these kind of books a low grade. However, I can safely say that I was pleasantly surprised by this one. In this episode of the Spongebob Saga, Spongebob receives a collectable and he lets his best friend Patrick hold on to it for a night. This is where the fun begins with this book.

I like it because it teaches kids about trust. It also teaches kids about the importance between material objects and friendships. No, I am not going to give the story away...you have to read it for yourself.

The print is rather small, so a child reading it on his or her own will struggle as the words are many and not really set up for a child to easily read. The pictures do coincide with the story. And as I stated, it has a good set of moral messages. I was pleasantly surprised with this book.

This was a nicer SpongeBob story. SpongeBob receives a toy in the mail that he's been waiting for for a long time. But Patrick wants to play with it but SB says it's a collectable and can't be taken out of the box. Patrick asks if he can take it home with him and put it on a shelf he will make just for it. So SB being the nice friend he is allows Patrick to take it (which teaches children to share I thought was a nice thing) but that night SB can't sleep afraid Patrick has broken or opened the package...so he sneaks into Patrick's house and the adventure that comes teaches SB to learn to trust and have fun.
