Natalie wants to open her own restaurant, but she needs money for that. With the correct genetics and the matchmaking agreement between Earth and the Jorkan, warrior-like aliens that were protecting Earth from the galaxy’s common enemy, the Rippers, she sees this as an opportunity to earn the money she needs. The arrangement was that she spends 30 days with her mate, a high-ranking officer in the Jorkan military, then she can either come home with $5 million or can stay with him and split the money. It sounded extremely fair and she got to choose. No way would she fall in love!

Zotar wasn’t happy about the situation. He was a black ops operative and highly valued by his Commander. He was pulled off his mission for this 30-day mate thing, but he intended to get right back to work afterward. It wasn’t fair to take a mate since he was gone so much. He manually started to dock his ship and noticed the Earth ship wasn’t there. They should have arrived 30 minutes earlier than he did. Asking for status, they started to tell him about the Ripper ship being spotted and he immediately headed back out. No Ripper activity had been recorded in this sector for at least a decade, and it made no sense unless the Rippers were targeting that transport. The fortunate thing was that Zotar piloted a stealth frigate, customized into a deadly fighting scalpel which no ship this side of the galaxy stood a chance against. The ship was far faster than the military patrol ships and he quickly caught up to the transport, its power exhaust almost iridescent indicating it was past its limit. Behind them flew a Ripper light fighter, taunting them with steady torpedo-fire. The transport passengers ran to the escape pods. Not having any idea what to do, Natalie pressed a Launch button and shot off into space.

Although Zotar comes to her rescue and picks up her escape pod, his ship was damaged in the fight, the panel indicating a systems failure, and they come down in an uncontrolled landing on the abandoned mining planet Naresh. In the beginning they snarled a bit at each other as Zotar was used to working on solo missions and making snap judgments. Natalie was a team player but always cognizant of the male superiority that had to be quashed now and then. But as they understood each other better, they adjusted and worked better as a team. Both of them have a strong attraction to each other. But the danger is apparently not over. They are not alone on this planet! He had spotted the gray smoke when he climbed up one of the mountains to explore. They have already seen the tracks of larger predators as well. Will the military arrive soon to take them off the planet? Will they be able to survive this ordeal after all?

This was a very well-written story that easily captivates the reader. The writing had a smooth flow, with sufficient description of the surroundings to make it real to the reader. All the senses were addressed to keep the reader on alert. Giving in to their desire, Zotar is even more protective of his mate. If they get off this planet, will she decide to stay with him?

4 & 1\2 solid 🌟's for Altar and Natalie

Zotar is a black ops solider for the Jorkan military. He's been a loner all his life his only mission has been to destroy the Rippers the enemies of the whole galaxy, and the ones that took his family from him as a child. The last thing he expects or wants is a matched mate, that is until he meets her. Natalie a young chef, a rising star who dreams of owning her own restaurant. She done with the make chefs that treat her like she should be home and not in a restaurant business. She's upbeat and an optimist always trying to see the bright side of the situation. When the creepy men in suits come and tell her aliens exist and that she is the genetic match for a group of aliens that are protecting the earth from the threat of the rippers. She decides to take the chance it's a win win for her if she likes her match she'll have a mate of not she'll receive 5 million and a ticket home. On the way to meet her mate all help breaks loose. And the adventure really beings. James bond style action, passion and ultimately love ensue. This so a fun series that you can't help but enjoy. 💖💖💖💖💖💖

Ok story.

I liked the story ok. But there were LOTS of continuity errors. There were lots of times they undressed each other, but they were already undressed. Plus the rippers tried to cook her with her clothes on. Then she pulled out a NOT RUINED paper pamphlet after being in the cooking pit with it. I skipped the last few sex scenes bc they were too long and drawnout and they didnt flow. Like they would be in one position, then magically some other position. Also it seemed like they would orgasm, the writer forgot, then made them orgasm again. Really, the whole book was disjointed. The other 2 in the series werent like that. They flowed just fine.

Zotar

Natalie was supposed to be a chef until she found out she was chosen to be a mate for Zotar. Zotar was a highly successful operative going into enemy territory to do as much damage as possible until he found Natalie. He fell hard for her and only wanted to care for her. Will he have the opportunity to love her or will the unexpected happen? Highly recommend this book and series.

3 1/2 stars ( I round up ) Pretty good installment of the series. It lost a little on the repetitiveness of a few phrases that were in the books before it. All the heroines wear thongs and the hero boxer briefs..yep and they don't fuck or make love it transcends that and it makes their blood boil in their vains...once I'd enough. The storyline was interesting. I might have to take a break and come back to this series. I have enjoyed them but I need a break.

I love the way this books starts! It has me hooked on the first sentence. Despite the attraction the two main characters have to each other, they tend tended to rub each other the wrong way. They struggle to overcome this and act as a team to survive. When the action really starts, there is no way you can put this book down.

Another exciting offering from a pair of collaborators that are fast becoming a favorite duo. If you like sexy aliens, creepy aliens and a smart, snappy human female this is the book for you. There is always something popping off in this series. Great world building, characters and a storyline that keeps you flipping pages. I loved it.
