Give Him Hell: Hellhound Champions Book Three

Nick Smith is a man with a mission: find the place where he’d been held captive as a child and discover what happened to the kids he left behind. He needs answers, especially since he discovered he can shift into a lion. Instead he finds a huge Viking of a man with flaming eyes who threatens Nick’s shaky hold on his control. When Nick’s past collides with a powerful, evil force causing havoc in the supernatural world, Nick races to find who is responsible for the current rash of dark magic. With a hellhound at his side, what could go wrong?

Nothing Gained: The Chosen One Book Four

With the truth finally revealed that Sawyer is the son of a powerful goddess, Sawyer must find the strength to fix the broken magic in his world. There’s only one problem: he has no clue how to do it. Even with six of his eight mates at his side, Sawyer doubts he has what it takes, especially as he is growing weaker by the day. With his newest guardian hiding in the shadows, Sawyer has to find the answers before it’s too late, for both him and his mates.

Stop at Nothing: The Chosen One Book Five

Rising forces of darkness are attacking faster than Sawyer and his mates can mount a defense. It’s time to fight, but Sawyer has too much to lose to risk disaster. The final pieces of the puzzle are falling into place, but they leave him with more questions than answers. He heads into the final battle without the knowledge...or the power…to win. Sawyer only knows one thing: he will stop at nothing to keep his mates safe.

Includes bonus short story:

Yall....

I'm begging everyone to read these books so that I can get more of them.

Also Macy, if you see this, please bundle the rest of the series in order. It makes re reading the series so much easier.

Ok like always, I'll probably spoil something, I get a little excited.

So the first book in this bundle had Nick, the oldest brother of Sawyer (he of the many mates) trying to find the kids left behind. These would be Henry and his siblings. Nick does not know its been over ten years and that they were rescued. He is also a giant lion shifter. A huge Alpha. Jedrick the Viking hellhound is his mate. Things happen and they become the foster parents of all the kids Nick is able to rescue. Nick also claims alot of people as pack. If he likes you, you are family.

The second story is the 4th book of the chosen one. Sawyer figures out that he is a god, there is a massive fight, lots of sex happens (I mean alot), Pip the last guardian arrives. Pip is like an even hornier Henry.

The 3rd story is the last one in the chosen one original series. Sawyer gets pissed, learns more about himself, makes Shaq and Drew gods (the Alpha of alphas and his omega), still has his god powers, and Draco lays eggs that are literally pieces of all 9 men. Now that's how you do mmmmmmmmm eggpreg right!

The 4th and last story was Sweet Spot. It is a Daddy/boy, large age gap, public sex, instamates short about Augustus, who is Eduards father. Augustus was told to go to the mountains by a powerful being to find what he needed, everyone thought it was about the chosen one, but it wasn't. Augustus meets his mate there. While this story was short, these two show up later so this is their origin story.

Give Him Hell (Hellhound Champions #3)
Nick is Mikey and Sawyer’s oldest brother (they are actually all foster brothers but don’t make that distinction) and he’s involved in this up to his eyebrows although he doesn’t know it at first. Nick is “Lion” that Ben and his siblings referred to from the house - the kid that got away. Nick has been trying to find the house so he can rescue anyone still there.

Definitely my favorite of the Hellhound Champions books. Nick and Jedrek are amazing plus the earth goddess gave some pretty awesome gifts to Nick at the end. I hope to see more of these guys.

Nothing Gained (The Chosen One #4)
“I think that’s what the whole null thing was about. Great big cosmic powers. Human body living space. Not really workable. Unless I had nothing, null, no powers. Maybe? I don’t know. It’s not like this stuff is all written down or something. Apparently before I… did whatever I did to get like this, I took all written record of myself away. I mean, it was probably smart, but I obviously didn’t think that human no-memory me would be floundering around with no clue about anything. Genius, right?”
He still had no clue what god-him had been thinking. There had to be a solution right there in front of him, one previous him had thought he’d be able to figure out easily. Or maybe not easily? Sawyer sighed.”

Fascinating continuation of the story. Questions are answered and more are raised. All the wonderful secondary characters continue to abound and at the end the eighth, and final, guardian is found along with Sawyer’s guide to the god-realm.

I’m really looking forward to them kicking ass and taking names!

Stop at Nothing (The Chosen One #5)
Best thing ever is seeing Pip’s reaction when he finds out all the gorgeous men are his mates!

“He was broken. Here lies Pip: He was fucked to death. What a way to go.”

I loved this final book in the series! The plot totally makes sense and the resolution had me very happy.

Sweet Spot
What an adorable tale giving Augustus, Eduard's dad, his own mate after all these years of being alone since his beloved wife passed away. A sweet little addition!

It’s been one hell of a ride reading all three volumes one after the other.

This is the third and final volume and it was unbelievably good to the point, I stayed up to the wee hours over the last two days.

Nick and Jedrek’s story was intense and emotional. Their chemistry was amazing and I loved how Nick’s lion liked to be dominant over its mate.

The Chosen One book 4/5

The mystery is unravelling and the puzzle pieces are starting to finally come together. These two books were gripping, exciting and at times, nerve wrecking.

This is an addictive series. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the conclusion.

*I voluntarily read this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no else's*

The last bundle of these two epic series, is full of action, heat, sexiness, loving and all of the HEA‘s you can handle. In this bundle we have the final two books of the Chosen one series and book 3 of Hellhound champions along with a bonus short the sweet spot.

I have so enjoyed the series that I will come back and read it time and again. If you love paranormal stories, full of hot men, I would highly recommend all of these bundles.

Whoa

This was just whoa.

I loved rereading Jedreck and Nick's story. It was sweet and strong and hot. So full of things and new information.

And then the last two instalments of the chosen ones. They were amazing, the tension builds, the love too. It was full of action, conflict, fun times. And so hot.

Jamie and Augustus story was hot and sweet and I hope for more.

This was an ending and a beginning too. So wonderful and epic it's difficult to explain. I am glad I waited for all the books to be done, as I wouldn't have the patience to wait between books.

I really recommend these three volumes and any of these books. I couldn't put them down.

Great finale

The final vols for this universe were action packed. We were introduced to the final Smith brother. Learned more about the feud and met the parents.

Smut...so much smut

The author needs to either get laid or needs to have her partner learn how to satisfy her better.

The Hellhound series continues in this one by introducing you to the eldest Smith brother Nick who eventually continues on in the series after the main story arch of the chosen one. Had a hard time getting into this book as everything feels forced and rushed. It ties in well with the main books.

The chosen one series finally ends in this volume and at first I thought we were done with most of the smut and then BAM, like a porn orgy marathon takes place... About thirty pages worth of porn that I fast forward through. You finally get to meet the last two guardians. The Author's editor of publisher failed her, there wasn't enough time to explore these new characters at all. Dakota comes with some serious baggage that should have been worthy of an entire book just like Saeward's introduction (SPOILER- you still don't find out exactly what happened to Saeward); in fact, Dakota"s issues are so valid and complicated as to potentially detail the entire series of it doesn't get resolved.
Pop is introduced as the last character in the guardians family and he doesn't even warrant background. His brother who fought in the Hellhounds book against the Awswang had a bigger mention.

The way the chosen series ended was so anticlimactic I had to flip a few pages back to make sure I didn't miss anything. The author also started adding ideas about Sawyer and his brother God that was never mentioned before until the very end. Such as how Sawyers brother is apparently the God of fertility... But is mentioned at the very end.

I would genuinely recommend not picking up anymore of this series to read. Just find a new series. This one leaves you frustrated and embarrassed if you get caught reading it in public.

Outstanding Series,Great Finale

Rating:4.5
I really debated about that rating because this is an fantastic series and , from a overall perspective, it deserves a 5 rating.

However, this collection has a few elements that, as a group I feel tended to take away from the anticipation and potential of a powerful finale.

Give Him Hell, Hellhound Champions #3, is actually my favorite of the three. Nick’s story has it all.Loved this. Perfection. Now to the rest.

Nothing Gained and Stop at Nothing are the two books that essentially tie up Sawyer’s Chosen One storyline. Sawyer needs to complete his circle of Guardians, get his guide, figure out how to defeat his brother , and win the war.

So huge! Right? There are some fantastic elements here. Ones that mix mythology, spirit animals and communication, even past lives to a very fascinating degree. How does someone correct past mistakes if past knowledge has been purposefully erased… by them? Interesting , deeply complex questions. With equally labyrinthine answers. That takes two books to unravel.

Great stuff.

Other beautifully crafted sections? That regarding the wounded, wary Guardian Dakota. He was so well written, so intriguing that you wanted more. Of his history and that of the family we got introduced to. They were all so interesting and unique.

And that was a issue with the last Guardian. All the other great Guardians had powers, some had wounded backgrounds, fascinating personalities, and, honestly, a visible reason to be a part of the Guardian circle. And not just because each represents a Element. The last missing Guardian? Cute as a button but made no sense other than as a “plug-in “ storylight character, who’s aspect could go comedic “high maintenance twink” or “adorable boy toy”. No history. No layers.

Even his “animal “ had me scratching my head in the manner he called it/them.

But even that part , as one dimensional as it is compared to all the other Guardians, doesn’t seem as overdone as all the ongoing multi-partners sex scenes.

When they started, it was sexy and a way to cement the polyamory relationship between Chosen One and his Guardian mates. It made sense.

But here, as the danger grew overwhelming, the partners were wounded, tired, even hospitalized, the orgies never abated. Research continues around them, or on top of them. People get called away from them and return to them. It makes them less sexy. More like slot A into Slot B type of activity when the amount of sexual activity exceeds story plot. It was almost at that level. A “really.. again?” type of sex scene.

A lightweight major character , too many sex scenes seemed to slow the narrative’s forward motion as it moved towards its tumultuous and scary series finale.

Blake does a outstanding job with formatting that momentous battle into something truly heart stopping and highly suspenseful. From that battle onward it’s a careening, wild ride to the finish. A very satisfying one too. The epilogue is the only aspect, that has , again, just a few things that bothers me. The Guardians and Sawyer have their happy ending. But a character, who’s played a huge part in this series, and was involved in a traumatic incident, gets written off with a sentence. That struck me as all sorts of wrong and , frankly, undeserved, given his status within the group. More about his situation was definitely called for. The reader was invested in him. As was Sawyer and the group. I don’t get it.

Other characters also just disappeared. I don’t know if it’s Into future storylines and novels but precious time was spent here getting us involved in them so don’t we deserve to know more? And this is why I had issues with the rating. I read them together, and whether that made the issues I had more glaring or not, I won’t know. The whole series is incredible. The maxed out battle and finale absurdly fantastic! A true “I’m crying, hold your breath “ battle! I’m highly recommending this series. You would be reading the last Chosen books in the order anyway so you might as well read them in this collection and get the wonderful other books as well.

Then there’s Sweet Spot.

The fourth is a standalone novella , about Guardian Eduard’s widower father, Augustus, and the young man he meets on a island getaway. It’s a second chance at love, age gap sweet story with a slice of kink. I love it.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-
Away-book like
‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd,
‘Save the kids' series from EM Leya,
‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or
'Liberty' from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a
WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises
(like most of Andrew Grey books and
Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few
times a year (most romances where you can
enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader,
maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-
reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but
it was ok). It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too
many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an
absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole
line, dismissed, repeat the class

What a story!

This is a paranormal fantasy romance suspense series that has taken two different series plus various shorts and put them in chronological order within three massive volumes and they must be read in order. I’m not going to lie, I started off this series loving the prequel story and then I wasn’t sure how I felt about the rest. However, I’m coming at this review at the end of reading all three volumes over about 2.5 days. The world building is incredible, the characters each get their chance to “speak” to you and share their POV. The only downside if you will is that there is just too much sex! I love a sexy story as it relates to characters and their relationship building but there was so much sex at times that I couldn’t figure out who was even being sexed up! I’m reviewing all three of these volumes at once, so overall the story is cohesive and the plot is fantastic and frankly, you will want to read all three of these volumes one right after the other to get the full picture though.

HEAs all-around

I didn’t think it was possible to love the Chosen Universe more than I did but re-reading it all reminded me why it stole my heart the first time.

Give Him Hell

“His pack hadn’t changed, only grown.” I love how all of these books are taking shape. Nick, his hellhound and all the rest bring about some wonderful and happy surprises.

Nothing Gained

“We are all as our mates need us to be.” I am astounded by Sawyer and his mates. Smart, protective, clever, sexy and filled with endless love, they will do whatever it takes to save everyone.

Stop at Nothing

“We take care of each other... It is our greatest desire.” An incredible conclusion to an epic series. Do yourself a favor and binge-read them all. It will be a magical adventure.

Sweet Spot

“You’re mine. Period. And I’m yours.” I’m so happy Augustus found happiness with someone who makes him laugh and will keep him on his toes.

amazing series, just…

…I really wasn’t a fan of the last guardian. up until him, all of the guardians had their own journeys and emotions becoming part of the group, and they all fit together so deeply (figuratively and literally). but the final guy just get added in out of nowhere, doesn’t give a crap about having any kind of emotional bond with the group, and just says “yes please” when draco forces sawyer to accept and have sex with him. it was really out of character for draco and while I think sawyer’s initial upset and concern were the right responses to have (I would have been hella pissed at draco if I were sawyer), he just accepted it because of course draco knows best. so like literally the 8th guardian might as well have not been part of the story. it could have been 7 guardians and the story would be no worse off, and in fact might have been better.

otherwise though, this is the best series i’ve read in a long time and till definitely recommend it

All in the balance

I loved Nick and Jedrik, as they were great together. The play for dominance between Alpha Lion against Hellhound and the right balance that connected them. Nick becomes the savior to all the children being held in captivity. Being one of the first to be experimented and to escape. He was there with Ben, Natasha and Henry before he escaped. Looking for them to save them after all these years. You have to love his heart and loyalty.
The Chosen One and his mates continue to fight off an evil god as they find the final two Champions/mates. The final two books. It was a good ending balancing mating and fertility.
Augustus and Jamie, which I want to crazy about. As with the rest of these series, way to much sex that I needed to skip over. Sex does not equal love!

This has been absolutely one of the best series I have read in such a long time. It's in my favorite's pile for sure now. I have loved every page. I've loved seeing the characters grow and become who they are. I love the bonds they've all formed and how each one would lay their lives down for each other. They know the importance of what they have and it's made the story so much better. It's been full of laughs, tears, anger, joy and so much more. It's a series that you can't put down, no matter how hard you try. You get involved in the pages and you are transported into another world. I love these books. They are a set of books I will happily read these over and over again, just to see them all one more time.

Yeah there was a lot of sex. With nine men mated, you get that. Someone actually counted and said one scene was 30 pages long. And since I have the books individually, yeah, I skimmed through some of the scenes on this reread.
The storyline is still intense. Reading Sawyer's angst over the need to give up his mates or save the world was no easier a second time. I liked the ending. Love this world. And it seems that she has written a sixth book. Good. That will be at least two books for the next volume. Hellhounds #4 and this new book. She can round out the next volume with the Kidding stories (but we're also waiting for book four of that series.) Or the Champions' books. (Waiting on Ollie and the Oracle's books).
So you either love Macy Blake's sexy times. Or you don't. I happen to like.

From beginning to end ✨️ 😌

I found the first book of this series by accident some years ago and only read the first 2 books. So I decided to read the entire series while on vacation, and I was NOT disappointed! The characters and world building are exceptional! Usually, when you have more than 2-3 partners/mates, they tend to blend together, but not here. Each one is distinct and have their own personality, and I loved it! I won't go into detail because I wouldn't be able to avoid spoilers, and readers deserve to experience this book with a clear and open mind. You will laugh, cry and everything in between! I am firmly a Macy Blake fan, and she is a one click author for me! 🥰

The Conclusion to the Chosen One

But not the end, because as the past books in the series prove, the series is an ongoing arc with limitless possibilities. Macy Blake created a fantastic world that no matter the story, characters, you are absolutely hooked by the second chapter.
Give Him Hell
Nick's story was an attack of the heart, many years were she'd in the reading.

Nothing Gained
Okay not going to lie Pip is the best part of this book for me, he had me cracking up.

Stop at Nothing
Macy plays with your heart way to many times in this book, and the ending is sooooooooo sweet.

Augustus (fans self), yes DADDY!!! Omg daddy got game and then some.

So good I hated to see it end!!

Don’t get me wrong. I’m glad the conflict finally gets resolved but saying goodbye to all these wonderful characters is hard even the second time around. What I love about this author is how we feel all the emotions. Even when there is danger we still get the love and humor that comes with all the different personalities. And the siblings, oh I just love the interactions. Whether by blood or choice and whether they are gods or other they are still brothers and sisters with fierce love and loyalty. It’s beautiful to read. I’m so glad we aren’t completely done with this world.

How is it possible for a series to just keep getting better! When it's the Chosen One Universe that Macy Blake has created you understand how! This is an addictive series that I will revisit many times. I loved being able to read the entire series in chronological order with these volumes. I lost myself to this series and it was the best feeling! There's something for everyone in this series. Plenty of action, adventure, steam, steam, and more steam. Jump in and enjoy the ride, you won't be sorry.

This volume wrapped up the events in the exciting story of he Chosen one. But the world is wider and bigger than that and I loved how Ms Blake worked all the angles with so many happening at once that I couldn't stop reading not only for the fear to loose something important but also because I was so enthralled by the captivating plot that I just needed to know how everything was going to finish. And the end... OMG!!! What a wonderful way to end the most exciting series ever... I am just without words...

What a happy end to a wonderful road.

Volume three was the last of an endearing reading ride. Some of her most creative works in one place.
Plenty of action, adventure, steam, steam, and more steam.

With so many books, the happily ever afters just jump off the pages. Take a week or two, read all three volumes and love every moment of it.

Perfect ending

Bittersweet ending because I have enjoyed these characters and this world so much I'm loathe to see it end.
Thankfully the author has already set the groundwork for a spin-off and I can't wait.
Finally it all becomes clear as secrets are revealed and it all comes to a perfectly orchestrated ending that had me shocked with pulse pounding action and swooning at the very much needed HEA.

This is the third volume and it’s so good! I loved this one just as much if not more than the second volume. These stories continue from the second volume and I didn’t want to put it down because I kept needing to read the next page. These bundles are so good! Definitely a must read and very enjoyable. This was a very good ending to the saga and made me happy though I was sad to see it end. I wanted more of these characters and this world.

Stunning conclusion

Wow. Just spent the last week going through all three volumes of this amazing entwined series. Truly enjoyed the World building and characterization. Storyline was excellent, and the sex was downright hot. Loved the prequel and the interspersed short stories. Totally left with wanting to read more by this author.

An excellent world from start to finish!

This has been one the best series I've followed from beginning to end! Loved everything about it - story, characters, humour, romance and heat. I really hope to see more of the Chosen One and his mates (and surprise addition). And the potential spinoffs! Just started the first one and I'm enthralled!

I need more!!

I enjoyed this collection. I feel like The Chosen storyline was finished nicely. The short story for Augustus was enjoyable but it felt out of place coming at the end of the collection. I still feel like more should be happening, like I'm missing answers to the Chosen universe. I can't wait to read more from this author within this universe or others.

I love it! I read The Chosen One series by itself, but when read chronically, it reads smoother. That's not to say that reading each series by itself doesn't read smoothly; by reading all of them together, I got the whole story easier. I did find it interesting that Henry's lactose intolerance isn't mentioned in Sawyer's story.
