Kat Roe is a successful business woman. At work, she’s in control, confident and respected. But her love life is a complete mess. Her divorce isn’t even final yet and her ex-fiancé, Chase, has made it perfectly clear that he wants her back. Kat is tempted, but she can’t get the desire and shame caused by her mysterious one night stand, Alex, out of her mind. When fate brings Kat and Alex back together, Chase is not happy. And that’s when the phone calls start. At first, they’re just annoying. Then Kat’s house and car are vandalized. And she’s chilled to the bone when she spies someone lurking outside her patio door. The police aren’t able to catch up to the person and the list of possible suspects grows longer every day. When Kat wakes up surrounded by smoke, flames and flying bullets – and comes face to face with evil – she’s shocked to find out who wants her dead. She knows she has to act fast if she wants to live to see another day. Moving On, a romantic suspense, is Book Two in the Hope Series. Hope, Iowa is a small town full of everyday people. Like most small towns, people in Hope usually know your personal business, sometimes better than you do. But they also are the first to bring a casserole and offer a shoulder to cry on when tragedy strikes. Some people have secrets they are desperately trying to hide while others’ lives are an open book. Some are longing for the day when they can break out of their small-town chains and others are hopeful to return home. Join our journey as we tag along and learn about the lives of the fine folks of Hope, Iowa.
Similar to Book 1 in the Hope Series, this is a romantic suspense novel, and true to its genre, it is a "couldn't put it down" page turner. Ms. Parker does a great job with dialog and I forgot to mention in my review of Book 1 that she also does a great job with flash backs. I think the biggest downside are the coincidences that just are not believable. I still like that she is featuring typical life in rural Iowa. She is a gifted writer!
