Perhaps we are simply caterpillars within this human experience; ignorant to what lies after our rebirth if it exists, and living ultimately too comfortably. What lies on the outskirts of our rebirth is in the palm of the courteous and passionate one… we must die. Every day. Every year. Every month. To live. To ascend. To evolve into the butterfly and fly. Caterpillars have no idea how beautiful they can be until they let whom they use to go, to be who they should be. “Buttafly” is a body of work/collection of poems reflecting the various realities of my life.

*this is an author/artist to watch out for in the future. her is promising.
A poetry collection organized in metamorphic phases. The caterpillar, cacoon, and "buttafly". I loved the difference in style. Alexis Walker told stories and painted a journey of misfortune/insecurities/heartbreak, finding herself, and love/peace. I really loved the fact that the poems were not typical....they were raw and showed vulnerability.
*****He found me Really loved this one as well. I saw myself in this. Especially when searching for the true answers in life and GOD. The mentions of Rasta made me excited to read as well. It was definitely a mindfulness experience as well as nostalgic to me.

I personally felt connected when I read some of the poems. I would not have believed I would on this level because not many artists that are known write in a way that tells a great piece of my own story.
There were alot of great poems in "Buttafly" that I did not mention.
