Francis Paul Wilson is an author, born in Jersey City, New Jersey. He writes novels and short stories primarily in the science fiction and horror genres. His debut novel was Healer (1976). Wilson is also a part-time practicing family physician. He made his first sales in 1970 to Analog and continued to write science fiction throughout the seventies. In 1981 he ventured into the horror genre with the international bestseller, The Keep, and helped define the field throughout the rest of the decade. In the 1990s he became a true genre hopper, moving from science fiction to horror to medical thrillers and branching into interactive scripting for Disney Interactive and other multimedia companies. He, along with Matthew J. Costello, created and scripted FTL Newsfeed which ran daily on the Sci-Fi Channel from 1992-1996.
These three books focus on Rick Hayden who has glimpsed underneath the Veil. In Panacea, Rick is sent by a very sick Mr. Stahlman to find something that should be impossible: a cure for everything. Problem is there is a group out there that will kill to keep this cure away from everyone.
In God Gene, Rick is tasked to find his long lost brother. His brother is a geneticist and seems to have stumbled upon a new breed of monkey with piercing blue eyes. But his brother seems to be doing things that aren't like him and Rick has to find a way to save his brother, quite possibly from his own obsessions.
In the Void Protocol, Rick has now been tasked to find "gifted" individuals who possess mutant like powers and try to find the source of how they developed them.
All three books are tied into the author's all encompassing Mythos called the Secret History of the world.
Highly advice anything and everything Mr. Wilson writes!!
I have been a fan of F. Paul Wilson ever since reading "The Keep" and the rest of the Adversary Cycle books. Repairman Jack is my favorite fictional character and I have collected and read every book in the series as well as the Teen Trilogy and Jack's Early Years. Anyway, in case you are wondering if I have a point, I do. If you enjoyed the Adversary Cycle and repairman Jack books and all the other books related to the secret history (and damn it, there's a lot of them) then I believe you will enjoy this trilogy.
Could ICE be part of the secret history of the world
Once again Mr Wilson has created characters and storylines couldn't step away from. From Panacea to the God Gene to Void Protocol follow Laura and Rick as they discover things that should not exist. Could the things be part of the Secret Histories or part of ICE. You will have to read the stories to discover what ICE stands for. Thank you Mr Wilson for a great trilogy.
